This was hands down the best manicure I have ever gotten. My daughter wanted a specific design and the lady did a perfect job. We both got pedicures and the lady who did mine took her time & did a fantastic job. We will be going back very soon !!!! read more

actually went there for my mom about a month ago--at age 73, her first mani/pedi...great experience so I booked another for both of us (I don't live locally.) a little over a month later. For her, it was probably fine...looked good at the end. As for me, I've so much better...but, until I got in the car to drive home did I notice, the gal didn't even finish filing my nails before painting them! OMG! I just assumed she was on track and chose to relax through it all. WOW! I called immediately on my way home and they asked me to return. NO, an hour or more later, I'm done. Already home. I fixed them myself. All they did was apologize! NOT impressed for $50!!! :( read more

Most places would have turned away 5 men wanting to schedule at the same time! We went here with our friends, who are getting married this weekend. I, for one, had neglected my hooves for too long, and it was a first time for one of the guys with us. These ladies had their work cut out for them and did not let us down. I haven't a clue what their names were but there was 3 ladies taking care of five guys' gnarled toes. I will definitely go back. Great job, Ladies!! read more

Lucy at polished is the best nail tech I have ever been to. Anything less than a 5 star review is a joke. Their prices reflect their quality, I have never had nails stay on as long as polished nails. Their friendly environment makes me look forward to my appointment every month and I have NEVER had a bad experience. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Best nail salon in South Carolina, hands down. read more

Came in here because it was the only place open on a holiday weekend. If it hadn't been for the fact that I desperately needed my nails done, I would have been very upset with the quality of my manicure. Just not up to, i think pretty normal standards, in terms of nail salons. Ie I don't think I should be watching everything you are doing on my nails to make sure the paint is on the entire nail and not just parts of it. read more

This place has an yp and downside. On the downside..I came in for a pedicure for a friend's wedding a few days from now. This was the most overpriced and shortest pedicure I've ever had. The water was cold after I specifically asked for it to be hot, the polish is uneven, and I had to ask the woman 3 different times to clean up the polish on my nail bed. The space right at my cuticle is also very uneven and I would have been better off buying the polish used and doing it myself. Also she failed to put disposable slippers on after my pedicure and I guess expected me to either sit and wait for the polish to dry or go barefoot. On the upse, its byob and we all drank champagne throughout the experience. That is the single redeeming quality of this salon. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

On a recommendation from a friend, I visited Polished. The receptionist told me the wait was 20 minutes. After 20 minutes and other patrons taken before me, the wait was another 30 minutes and I was told that appointments had first call. So my recommendation is don't go there as a walk in...make an appointment. The customer service is a bit lacking. If I was told that there were more appointments on the books that technicians, I would not have waited. read more

I have had trouble finding a budget friendly, yet GOOD nail place since moving to Columbia. I stopped by here with my sister the other day for mani/pedis and was pleasantly surprised by the service. It is very clean (all tools come out of plastic sealed bags) and they are very thorough. I did bring my own Essie colors just in case, but they had 2 out of 3 that I owned. They were very thorough and gave a great massage. My nails have stayed a week (after adding my own top coat a couple days later). I would suggest going early as we got there around 11 and got immediate service but people at 12 had to wait a while. (It was a Monday though). I haven't tried they're french, but I would imagine it's pretty good. My mani/pedi was $40. Good option for a thorough, decently priced place! read more

After the way I spoken too, today. I will never step foot into this establishment again! As usual, I walked into Polished without an appointment and unlike my previous times, there was a wait. There were 3 ladies in front of me, and I waited patiently. Before my go I wad asked what service I would be getting. I showed the guy my nails, the same guy who always does my nails and he said nothing just went back to his customer whom he addressed by name. I've patronized Polished since December 2014, and the manicurist neither introduced himself nor ever asked my name. All.that aside I was mostly focused on grubby a great service. When I sit down at his table (he's the 3rd from the entrance) he starts filing my nails with a rough emory board which I hate. I tell him that and he tells me its gonna take 15 mins for the acetone to soak off the gel and HE DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT. So I can wait while he takes someone else. After I've wait paitently for 30+ minutes this is how you talk to me. I'm not using welfare to get my nails done. I work everyday and when I choose a business.to patronize I expect not only a great service but RESPECT as a consumer! Mr Korean with the Glasses is very lucky I chose to leave and not smack the living shit out of his smug Asian behind. I was extremely appalled by this man thinking he could speak to me in such a poor fashion, when I'm paying him not the other way around. God help me if this happens again gets in Columbia. Someone will have to call the law next time! I'm sick of the shitty customer service here... step it up Columbia!! read more

I came here with a friend, who is a regular, so I was excited. First of all, my nail technician kept trying to pressure me to get red nail polish, (I'm guessing because it was around Christmas time) when I specifically said no multiple times. That wasn't a huge deal, just kind of annoying. Then she asked if I wanted 'almond' shaped nails and I said yes and she filed my nails like an octagon, with like 5 angles. I asked if she could smooth them out and she said oh, like almond? *face palm* She proceeded to fix them and she just did a flat out bad job. I almost just wanted to file them myself because they were all uneven. Then the gel nail polish time came, and she didn't even paint to my cuticle. There was blank space without polish as if I got them done a week ago and my nails grew out. I didn't say anything because I was honestly thinking she would notice, which she did, but at the very end when she had already put on a base coat, three layers of color, and a top coat. She looked at them confused when admiring her work and proceeded to try to remove and shave off the layers of polish to try to redo them. She re-painted them but they still looked bad. I don't normally get my nails done, so my expectations weren't that high, but this experience was just bad. Worst $35 spent. Also, my friends acrylics were filed uneven as well. She was not impressed. read more

Love Love Love this place... Ms.May keeps my eye brows looking fabulous and my toes outstanding!!!

The employees were all super nice and great. I'm either too picky when it comes to pedicures but we went in and got 2 pedicures. My husband got his started first. He said she did a great job she super massaged him, but when you actually look at his toes he still had sock fuzz under his toenails and some dangling loose skin(hes happy though, he got a great massage). The lady I had was really nice but she almost rushed through the whole thing. I got like a 10 second massage. She didnt trim my nails just barely filed them. She painted my toes then tried putting lotion on my feet right after. My pedicure was done right after my husbands and his started atleast 10 minutes before mine. read more

Love this place! May is the best at gel nails! Make an appointment she is always busy!

One of the best gel manicures I have EVER gotten! Incredibly nice, great service and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

Went in for a very quick gel color change and was not acknowledged for 30+ minutes despite there being about 7 technicians working. I finally got a technician's attention and was told I would be attended to shortly. 3 other customers walked in and were immediately helped, while I was still sitting and waiting. I noticed another woman with a halfway completed pedicure, just sitting with her feet in the water and waiting for more than 30 minutes. After waiting more than an hour, I walked out without having my polish changed. As each technician would finish with a customer, she would disappear to the back, never to return to do my color change. As it was close to closing time, I suspect they went home early. This place is terrible and not worth the money whatsoever. Their blatant disregard for me today caused them to permanently lose a customer. I will never return to Polished and I recommend you go somewhere else to get your nails done! read more

I dropped in for a fill with color change and a pedicure. I was promptly greeted and did not have to wait. Tony did a fantastic job on my nails and pedicure. He was pleasant, polite and focused his attention on me. He was quick but maintained quality. The place was clean and organized. I would highly recommend. I will definitely be going back. read more

Went there on a Saturday to get my nails done. I was a little weary due to some of the reviews about a long wait... However, I did not wait long at all! The service was great! Kim did an excellent job on my nails and was a pleasure to chat with. The customer service was great. I will definitely go back! I was told while I was there that during the summer they get much busier and it is best to come on a weekday. read more

Not happy with the service at all! No value for money! The person giving me the service got up to attend other customers, was on phone! I had to remind him for the massage because he totally missed it and decided to put nail paint on my toe nails! read more

Repeat customer. Service is always good. Coming during the week is less busy and shorter wait. Tonight they took me immediately. Prices much better than Soak and Wisteria. read more

Friendly and good service. Got a gel mani and pedi today and really appreciated how much they took their time. I will definitely be going back! Salon was clean and welcoming, prices are a little more expensive than usual but worth it! read more

Extremely busy place... Very long wait time, even with an appointment. The atmosphere is nice, everything is very clean. Their pedicure is ok... I've had better, longer lasting ones, but I've also had much worse. If you have the time to wait it's alright. read more

I LOVE this place! Great service and often times there is an adorable child working the desk, one if the technicians son. He is very friendly and very smart! I would suggest making an appointment because they are very busy! I always ask for Tony, he does an amazing job EVERY time! The polish selection is a good one! Essie, OPI, Orly and several different colors. after I get my nails done here, people always ask if they're my natural nails! I will come here for as long as I live! read more

I hate to say anything negative about any business. But, this Salon is absolutely disgusting. Everything is stained and dirty and I felt compelled to leave because I thought that I would get an infection. I am NOT a prima donna and I understand when things are old and worn, but they should always be clean. This place is not clean. read more

Best in town. Good prices. The manager rocks!!!!

I have been a patron of Polished for almost 5 years and have a standing appointment with May every 2 weeks. My mother and several of my friends are also loyal and HAPPY patrons! Polished is a one-stop shop with mani, pedi and waxing, could not ask for more. Kudos to an experienced, friendly, considerate team! Love the salon - comfortable ped chairs and great ambiance. Don't miss an opportunity to get the best mani and.or ped in Columbia - you won't be disappointed. read more

I don't often give reviews unless they are bad lol but I have to say that Tony and the crew at Polished were fabulous and I have found a new salon. It's hard to find decent nail places in Columbia so I am glad to have found this gem. read more

Went to Polished for the first time and had a great experience all because of Victoria. Not only did she give me an AMAZING mani and pedi after I'd received a less than satisfactory job from another location but she had great conversation and made me feel completely comfortable. Definitely making another trip there. My nails look amazing! read more

Waited forever for service. Then they took me back to a chair and I waited another twenty minutes. never coming back.

Ask to see Bien (Ben) he is so detail oriented best mani I've ever got here in SC. Wait can be long if you don't make an appointment but he is worth the wait. Pricing is good as well for a gel Mani & reg Pedi only $55 ! I live on the other side of town but he specifically is worth the drive read more

Polished - This is after 5 days including painting a house and going to the beach - Nail Salons Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

My friend and I received lunch time pedicures from Victoria and Anileese and were very please with their service. We will definitely be returning for pedis in the future! read more

Their customer service sucks. I'm in here right now and I've been soaking for nearly an hour as I watch other customers be taken before me. One woman walked out because she was on her lunch hour. Her feet soaked for a good while too. They could have cared less she walked out or how l long someone waits! Don't have anything else planned or if you need to be anywhere else if you need a service done! Run! Go somewhere else like US Nails in Five Points! I heard they are much better and they really massage your feet! read more

Great work. They take their time and provide excellent service. Ben and Leo are fantastic with dipping powder. Only place I will go to in Columbia. read more

The wait is LONG they are always busy. Good quality work and nice, clean space. Worst part is no one ever acknowledges you when you walk in, so you have to be prepared to grab someone's attention. I get the distinct impression they couldn't care less if they have your business or not. Maybe making an appt beforehand would be helpful. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR THE SECOND TIME! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would highly recommend visiting another salon. Unprofessional and total disregard and disrespect for your time! First time we tried this salon was for a bridal party. We called a month in advance and made appointments for 1pm to have manis/pedis. They didn't begin our services until almost 2:30pm!! This was very unfortunate as this was the day before the wedding and anyone who has planned a wedding should know your time is precious as you have rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, etc. Secondly - the manager and nail technicians were unapologetic. We decided to give this salon another try on this past Saturday for Mother's Day because at least it is a clean salon (we're very big on that)...BIG MISTAKE!!! Very unprofessional. We arrived at 4pm and there was no one waiting ofr a service. We were told they could start our service in 20 - 30 mins. Approximately 45 mins later they sat HALF of our party in the pedicure chairs. They soaked their feet for about 15 mins. Two other clients walked in and the salon and they started on these clients immediately. When we questioned why they hadn't started our services after we waited one hour the guy at the front states they had appointments for 5pm. Ok i can understand they have appointments, but WHEN are you going to start on us given we had been waiting for ONE HOUR when you told us it would only be 20-30 mins. He proceeds to say it's just a little longer than what he initially stated and said it would probably be another 20 - 30 mins before he could start on us. Very unprofessional! As others have stated - if they were honest with the wait time you can make a decision to determine if you would like to stay and wait, but hey will lie to you. This salon has poor time management given they were over an hour late when we had appointments and even when we did not. Signed, Paper Ripper read more

I made an appointment for a mani/pedi mid week last week. My daughter and I were greeted promptly and taken care of. My pedicure was wonderful, but my gel manicure was rushed and sloppy. There were visible bubbles and lint in the polish. On day three every nail started lifting and peeling. I came back in today to have them fixed. I have never been treated so rude in my life. The man was hesitant to fix them at all and was extremely rude. He was clearly talking about me in another language while I was sitting right there. He stopped in the middle and made me wait 30 minutes while he helped people who walked in after me. He completed a pedicure before returning to me. To add insult to injury, the job he did to fix my nails was WORSE than the original job. He only fixed 6 nails, and did a terrible job. I will be posting a photo to show that this is not a professional manicure. For the price of this nail salon, I'd expect better treatment and a professional service. $80 for a mani/pedi should be a good one. read more

Polished - Worst gel polish job I've ever received. - Nail Salons Near Me - Columbia, South Carolina

Had an appointment at 1:15- at 1:50 I had still not begun my pedicure-very disappointed and will not be returning

I had a 4pm appt and since I had over an hour to spare, I decided to try a newer nail shop closest to my next appt. I usually get an acrylic overlay on my nails and gel polish. I was sent to an older woman who's name I think is Ann. I was a little concerned when she went to wrap my nails in foil after being told by the manager I needed acrylic so I reminded her. Then she wanted to add a tip to my nails so they would be longer. I told her that was not necessary. I explained as a RN I needed short nails. She still attempted to add a tip to my nails became visibly irritated and upset when I told her not to do that. What happened to just doing as the customer asks?? Anyway it didn't stop there. By the time all was said and done there was polish and acrylic on my skin particularly on my fingers and under my nails! It took her 1h30min where it normally is 45min to do this. At this point I'm late for my 4:00appt. When I express my concerns she tells me not to say anything but keep it between the two of us! She even tells me don't pay me. Crazy me tells her I'll at least pay you something...at least $20.00!! After processing my payment as I walk out the door she says, "Make sure you don't come back and complain to the manager"!! I couldn't believe it!! It told her it was inappropriate to say such a thing to me especially when she was so wrong in the matter. Now I'm not only regretting giving her anything but taking a risk on a new shop. When I did come back later to see if she could fix the issue, she told me I promised I wouldn't come back and even tried to tell the manager this!!! This sounds crazy but it happened. Phuong(Mae) the manager st this time apologizes for the employee and promptly fixes the issue. If you were thinking about stepping foot in here BEWARE!! I have never been treated so disrespectfully and lied on to my face in my life!!! Save yourself the bother!!! read more

After waiting 30 minutes, I was put in a pedicure seat and waited another 30 minutes before being helped. Once helped the woman rushed thru my pedicure, poking and prodding my toes, not taking pain into consideration at all. She got up multiple times to help other people and yet rushed through mine. She cut up my toes and threw on coats of paint and rushed off without telling me anything else. Honesty the worst pedicure experience I have had. I highly recommend never going here. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more
