When I first started coming to this nail salon, I received amazing service. It was absolutely wonderful, and I thought that I have found the best place. But, the last couple of times that I've gone, they have placed my nails on incorrectly and left a very large gap between my acrylic nail and my regular nail. As you can see in the picture I attached, the nails are basically bending backwards. If you're looking to get long nails, don't come here. I tried to tell the nail technician that was doing them several times that they were bent backwards, and she just ignored me and told me that they were fine and they weren't. They don't know how to place nails on properly here, so just save your money and go somewhere else. Not to mention, that these nails cost me $80. In a nutshell, not the worst I've had but definitely not the best, either. I'm giving 3 stars only because I saw that there were some decent nail techs there... just not mine (Ha!). I'm visiting from out of town and I didn't have time to go to the nail salon beforehand. We had already walked out of 3 different shops because they seemed sketchy and thought this place was worth a shot. All of the beautiful glassware in the front window was a nice touch & we only had to wait a few minutes. My pedicure was pretty lousy; the technician who worked on me definitely rushed in comparison to some of the other people there (there was a young girl with glasses who was amazing! I wish I had her). He didn't do a great job with the polish and the customer service was nonexistent (even if you don't speak a ton of English you can at least smile occasionally). My manicure was... sufficient. Yes, my nails look better than when I came but not good enough to make me a repeat customer. I didn't look this place up on Yelp until after I was in the pedicure chair - I absolutely agree with those who said the place was dusty. Polished is the most professional and courteous salon I have frequented! Most importantly, the owner's motto is CUSTOMER SERVICE FIRST!!!! The owner and staff respect you and deliver what you want! My mother and daughter really like Ben to do acrylics. He is always very meticulous with his service. Mother started going here at the Diva prime age of 83 years old. Ben is so polite and addresses her needs as to not "nick or cut" her skin as she has diabetes. She looks forward to the pampering and would never consider a different salon. The front desk staff have assisted her walking from the car to a salon seat! Now that's over the top! Here's an over the top example of "CUSTOMER FIRST" that happened before the holidays. My husband bought three Christmas gift cards for my mother, daughter and myself totaling $275.00. Unfortunately, I lost mine worth $100. Fortunately the owner trusted me and gave me a consolation of $50 to replace it. A week ago I used it for a gel nail manicure and still had a balance of $20! Surprisingly a week later I found my $100 gift card and reported to the owner value and the owner told me no problem keep it. She was glad I found it and no one else stoled it from me! How is this place still in business or not been shut down by DHEC??!? I will start with the finished product of my nails LOOKS very very nice but holy sh*t the level of damage to my natural nails is appalling. I do NOT want a dremel used on my natural nails, which is also a big NO-NO anyways and a short cut they use to get people in and out of the door quickly. I expressed to the manicurist that I understand he needs to use the dremel to roughen the nails to allow the acetone to soak off the existing gel polish but that I was sensitive and wanted it used *very sparingly*. Well he went to town with that dremel both on the skin surrounding my nails and my natural nails. He didnt even care that the acetone hardly had time to do it's job. I dont have time to go sit at another salon so just accepted this was my fate and I would never return. I have very nice natural nails that are super strong, and after all of the dremeling my nails are now super thin and EXTREMELY DAMAGED that will take months to grow out. Additionally, the use of a dremel is absolutely disgusting in this manner - all of the dremel heads were kept in a container that is very obviously used repeatedly and not cleaned between clients or ever. Its a shame bc the manicurist's finished product looks so nice but 1000% not worth the damage. I will not return to this salon for the sheer ignorance to industry standards and lack of cleanliness. Aside from nails, they also offer waxing and facials. They offer a wide and current selection of OPI and China polishes. The place is clean and inviting. Good selection of magazines -US Weekly, Cosmo etc. It cost me $40 for a mani/pedi. Service is friendly. I prefer a fairly quiet atmosphere where i can veg out and am not interested in pursuing more than necessary small talk. There was just one technician who kept gabbing on and on with the customer next to me but to each her own! The mani/pedi quality were fine. They were quick to fix one of my nails which i had somehow managed to ruin minutes before I was about to leave. On closer inspection though, I did notice a few bubbles on some of my nails when i left. Overall, average. read more

I arrived at 11:55 to see all of the staff full, I told the woman who checked me in I had an appointment and she told me to pick out a color, I waited another 5 minutes before she took me to a station. And I responded with "yes, that's why I made an appointment." She clipped my toe nails and then her previous customer asked her for help putting her shoes on, so she stopped working on me, proceeded to help the woman, walk her out THEN clean her station...while I just sat there...beyond rude and terrible customer service. I was clearly wearing business attire and had my slacks rolled up and she made zero effort from keeping them from getting soaked when she was wiping the lotion off. So I've been here a few times in the past and had mixed results, but I exited to give it another as I was in the area. If you don't have an appointment, the wait time can vary (10-40 mins). The nail tech cut my nails shorter than I would have liked, which was fine until she started filing them. She was very aggressive with the file and ended up giving me basically paper cuts underneath my nails. The nail techs are friendly and are experienced. The facility is basic. No special treatment; offers of water, etc. I have been visiting this place for about 6 months as a walk-in because I like the results. I normally get fill-ins with gel polish. Unfortunately, today I made an appointment to be seen at noon on a Saturday since I know they get busy. They misled me to believe I'd be seen a few minutes past my appointment time. Twenty minutes later, I asked for more info/how long I'd be waiting, etc. The nail tech said she wouldn't be done for another 20 minutes. I'm currently sitting in the waiting room watching the minutes go by. I was not greeted by any of the 7 working here. Just signed my name and sat down. I'm now approaching over an hour and feel my patience wearing thin. I haven't left because I assume I'm the next in line and by now I've waited so long that I feel like if I leave, they will call my name any second! I was able to peel all of my gel nail polish off of my finger nails so they don't charge me $35 for a gel manicure like their price list says. I guess that's a positive. I was just called (after someone was called who walked in 45min after me) and am now sitting with my feet in the water, still not being attended to. Ive now been here for 1hour and 15min. I'm editing this post because it's necessary! Worse manicure I've ever had and holy moly it was expensive!!! $45 for a regular mani/pedi??? My nail polish looks horrible.
