I saw this advertised a few days ago. I looked at the menu and was only familiar with a few of the items on it, but everything looked great. Tonight I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. This is a quaint little place, seats about 35 or 40 max. Their service is wonderful. Their staff is professional and friendly and helpful, and the food was out of this world. I can't even remember the last time I had roll ups. I took a picture after I had already inhaled one. All of the food was very tasty, prepared to order, fresh as could be and expanded my knowledge of Polish food. I will be back. The only reason I'm giving this place five stars is because I can't give more.

Thank you for opening Polish Restaurant The food was delicious. Remind me of the old days. The service was very fast and courteous The atmosphere light Definitely will return and bringing friends The pierogies were to die My favorite though was the sour soup Next time, looking forward to trying the Ukrainian red Bursh.

Table never cleared throughout the meal. Had to put things in the floor to make room for food service.

I rarely leave critical reviews but feel compelled to do so after our experience. Such an incredibly disappointing birthday dinner. Food was very tasty & good. Food runner was the ONLY positive aspect of our experience. Food runner was pleasant throughout. He helped us because we couldn't get the waitress to pay attention to our table. She NEVER cleared the table, never checked in and failed to deliver anything we asked for. Service overall was the worst I have had in a long time. It took her 30 minutes just to take our food order. The waitress was disinterested, inattentive and basically ignored us while chatting with other tables, eating at her work station and she did not provide anything we asked for (water, food boxes, never checked in, never cleared dishes, didn't bring the check), If it wasn't for the food runner, we would still be there waiting for the bill. It's a nice space with good food. To the owners: Please, please, please find someone else to serve your customers. Your business is in jeopardy if you don't find someone capable and interested in serving your customers. We will not be back.

It offers a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options in a very casual, unpretentious ambiance. What truly sets this place apart is the location right off the tarmac. The property features a static display of a historic Lockheed Constellation passenger aircraft. If the weather cooperates, you can actually enjoy your meal outside under the wings of this big metal bird while watching Cessnas and other small private planes take off and land. It's an incredibly unique dining backdrop. I recently met up with a Canadian friend here for breakfast, and the food and service were absolutely terrific. I ordered the two-egg platter ($7) with home fries and toast, adding a side of turkey bacon (+$3). I requested my eggs over-medium and they were cooked perfectly--a feat that is surprisingly difficult for many diner chefs to nail down. My friend opted for the impressive Triple Bypass Skillet ($16): three eggs cooked to order, bacon, sausage, AND Taylor ham, all served over a bed of seasoned breakfast potatoes in a sizzling cast iron pan. He thoroughly enjoyed it. To top it off, our server was fantastic. Our water glasses and coffee mugs were kept filled throughout the entire meal without any prompting whatsoever. Highly recommended for a great meal with an unbeatable aviation view. I will definitely be back.

Anyway, around 5 PM I hit the road and headed up to Greenwood Lake Airport to snap a few pics and check out the diner. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something run down and old-fashioned--maybe even a little spooky--with one waitress and me as the only customer. Nope. The diner was bright, clean, and welcoming, with a handful of folks in the booths lining the walls. I had a great waitress, ordered a coffee and a cheesesteak with mashed potatoes and gravy, and everything was delicious. The price? Totally reasonable, especially these days when even a basic meal can cost a small fortune. Definitely keeping this place in mind the next time I'm in the mood for a solid diner meal. The planes outside was an extra treat!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Ignored and Forgotten…read moreMy son and I visited Mario's Deli today, May 17, 2025, around 12:45 PM, and it was hands down the worst deli experience I've ever had. We walked in and were completely ignored by the staff for a full 15 minutes. It wasn't until another customer came in and looked ready to order that I had to speak up and point out that we hadn't been served. I placed a simple order for two sandwiches: one plain turkey sandwich and one half pastrami with American cheese and mustard. After another 15 minutes passed, during which at least four other customers who came in after us received their orders, our sandwiches were still nowhere in sight. When I inquired, the staff claimed they "might've fell somewhere" and they couldn't find our order ticket. By this point, my son had been waiting patiently for 45 minutes just to get a simple sandwich. I had to specifically ask them to please, quickly make my son's sandwich as he was very hungry. I always try to be understanding and avoid confrontation, but this level of disregard and inefficiency is unacceptable. Waiting 45 minutes for two basic sandwiches, being ignored, and then told our order was lost is beyond frustrating. This experience has unfortunately pushed me to share this negative review. We will not be returning to Mario's Deli.

We rented an Airbnb nearby and wanted a fun Sunday brunch with a beautiful view, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. We made an 11 AM reservation and were glad we arrived before the crowds started rolling in. They offered both a featured brunch menu and an extensive drink menu with lots of options for the group. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. She even took a table photo for us and later noticed us struggling to take a group picture outside after brunch -- she actually came outside to take photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really went above and beyond for such a special occasion. The atmosphere was also so welcoming. The locals were incredibly kind, and one woman even bought our table a bottle of champagne after hearing we were celebrating a bride-to-be. It made the whole experience feel extra memorable. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciated that they offered gluten-free options, including gluten-free toast. I had the spinach and feta omelet with home fries, and everything was delicious. My sister is a huge Eggs Benedict fan and loved their version as well. The location right on Greenwood Lake is beautiful. They have dock space for people arriving by boat, plus outdoor seating that would be amazing on a nice summer day. There are also two parking lots on either side of the restaurant, which made parking easy for us, although I could see it filling up quickly during peak summer weekends. The prices were definitely on the higher end, but honestly, for a nice restaurant directly on the lake with great service and atmosphere, it felt worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back next time we're in the area!
