Our meal was fantastic. Service was on point, [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance good down home diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is huge we came for a late breakfast, but both chose a burger and what a good choice it was. Pastrami burger had enough tasty pastrami to make its own sandwich. Cobb burger comes with a whole sliced up avocado. The unsweet ice tea was really good. Found this place by driving past turned around stopped and ate very happy we did. Highly recommend

Diners are one of my favorite places to eat because of their EXTENSIVE menu options, and Lakeside Diner did not disappoint! It felt like we ate the entire menu, but we weren't even close. The pulled pork sliders were one of the favorite things I ate, and even their hot coffee beat a lot of diner coffees in the area. The staff were super friendly, and Chris checked on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner was super clean and gave classic diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This location is close to my parents' house-- so next time I visit we will definitely be back!

My wife said she forgot how good food really was coming back here, the owner was super friendly, the service was excellent, had a crock of French onion soup, which was stellar, and delicious moussaka with a perfect Greek salad, all of the vegetables were fresh, and the dressing was delicious The desserts were absolutely wonderful. picked up several pieces of cheesecake at the recommendation of the owner to share with my brother and his wife to be for their upcoming wedding and enjoyed several of the Greek pastries. Enjoyed talking about food with the owner, who obviously is very passionate about high-quality food. he told me he likes to smoke his own pastrami and sounds like an old-school diner owner who really values all of his customers. Definitely will come back here the next time I'm in the area, thanks again for the delicious food Chris

    Menu, such a great place!

A great, traditional old (style) New Jersey diner. Nicely laid out, with far more room than you'd think. Menu features expected diner fare but prepared with great care - and generosity. The fried calamari were fresh & crisp and LIGHTLY coated. Why, they even included tentacles, which are my favorite part. The Cobb salad had a truly generous amount of chicken, atop crispy greens. My wife's grilled chicken caesar wrap was stuffed with tender meat. My Manhattan clam chowder was the real deal, with plenty of clams. And the grilled pork chops were thick, tender and JUICY. Service was attentive and gracious. Go there.

Came here for a baked good and was hoping that the muffin was more fresh than what it was... it seemed like it had been baked a few days ago but I was hungry so I ate it! They had many dessert options on display near the entrance and they seemed to have many options on the menu but I did not try anything else. I would come back here to try fresh food though. The employees there were friendly :)

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

We rented an Airbnb nearby and wanted a fun Sunday brunch with a beautiful view, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. We made an 11 AM reservation and were glad we arrived before the crowds started rolling in. They offered both a featured brunch menu and an extensive drink menu with lots of options for the group. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. She even took a table photo for us and later noticed us struggling to take a group picture outside after brunch -- she actually came outside to take photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really went above and beyond for such a special occasion. The atmosphere was also so welcoming. The locals were incredibly kind, and one woman even bought our table a bottle of champagne after hearing we were celebrating a bride-to-be. It made the whole experience feel extra memorable. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciated that they offered gluten-free options, including gluten-free toast. I had the spinach and feta omelet with home fries, and everything was delicious. My sister is a huge Eggs Benedict fan and loved their version as well. The location right on Greenwood Lake is beautiful. They have dock space for people arriving by boat, plus outdoor seating that would be amazing on a nice summer day. There are also two parking lots on either side of the restaurant, which made parking easy for us, although I could see it filling up quickly during peak summer weekends. The prices were definitely on the higher end, but honestly, for a nice restaurant directly on the lake with great service and atmosphere, it felt worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back next time we're in the area!

The restaurant is very pretty overall, though the interior is quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu without additional light. The tables were also placed fairly close together. Our server was polite and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the Korean fried chicken and tuna tataki. The chicken was moist and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant. It was distracting, and I honestly wish they had just walked quickly instead of sprinting through the space.
