Adorable retro style neighborhood diner. Chef is the owner and very present and interacts with the customers. Solid breakfast with quality food. Great bacon and perfectly spongy pancakes! Egg omelettes were very good as well. Have to go back and try their burgers and chicken salad ( the owner gave me a small sample of the Chicken salad and it was delicious. Fantastic place for breakfast and lunch. Best pancake ever maybe even in the world and unbelievable home fries. Service is always wonderful with mark (owner) as the chef Sam as the waitress and Henry. Ambiance is wonderful it feels like I am in a retro diner almost and I love the counter drink selection is very good basically has any drink and lunch is very good the burgers are so good. Was in the area so we picked this cute little spot. Hometown feels and nostalgic vibes. Our server was nice. Service was quick. Food was nothing gourmet but definitely comforting. LOVE that they call it Taylor Ham! #TeamTaylorHam. My friend got the chicken tenders (which were actually 2 chicken cutlets) and onion rings. And I got a grilled cheese with tomato and onion rings. Originally wanted fried shrimp and onion rings but they didn't have it "til tomorrow". Prices were FANTASTIC! Food was ok. Place was clean. But the BEST part? The cook! SO! MUCH!! SASS!!! PROS: This is a quaint diner that I found on Yelp. the staff is very nice, including the waitress Abby (or Abbie). the food was great and SUPER fast. it's a family business which generates a lot of locals to come in and the menu had a strong variety at good prices CONS: The parking lot is tiny and they only have a one person bathroom. Inside it isn't as spacious as other diners and its also easy to miss while driving by OVERALL: If I lived in the area I would always come here. Need a quick cup of coffee or their famous "Tower" breakfast sandwich then head to Abbie's. This small restaurant has 4 tables and about 6 bar stools. They have great pancakes and a good cup of coffee. Many locals go here for their morning caffeine hit and local news. People call in their orders and run in and pick up. It's a "guy" kind of place and many local landscapers, and tradesmen are getting a great breakfast sandwich and coffee on the run for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going with your girlfriends though. read more

This is a perfect little local diner. Service is so friendly and food delicious. We walked in, with my family of five, close to closing time but we're still warmly welcomed. This isn't a typical diner. There are four small tables in front, seating two people each, and about 6 stools at the counter. It's kind of a cross between a deli/very small diner. The owner let us know his pancakes and burgers are the best so of course we ordered them. He wasn't lying about the pancakes. They were fluffy and delicious. My husband and son enjoyed their burgers. My other son devoured his sunny side up eggs. The owner made us feel like we were regulars there which is why I'm giving Abbie's five stars. This kind of service is extremely rare these days and it was a very pleasant surprise. Now if only I could move Abbie's closer to my home :) read more

Abbie's is a bit smaller than expected, but in my opinion, that just adds to the charm. I informed the server that I was a bit pressed for time, so she suggested the chicken cutlet sandwich. It arrived within about 5 minutes, and was delicious. Excellent prices, but be aware that this is cash only establishment. Coffee and hot drinks are served behind the counter, while cold beverages are self serve from a cooler in the back. If I had to complain about anything (and this is nit-picking), it would be that the space is a bit small, as it's an old fashioned counter top along with 2-3 tables and my chicken cutlet was a touch small for the bun/roll. Other than that, great service and great food. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in the area again for business. read more

I planned to eat here with a group of people on a Saturday morning. They advertise as a 24 hour a day restaurant. When I got there, there was a sign on the window that said "Closed for the weekend-see you Monday." We had to find a different place to eat on short notice. It is strange for a 24 hour a day diner to close on a Saturday morning in September. We lived in Wyckoff for years and didn't know we had a diner. It's a homey little place with a counter and about four tables. Seems to be frequented by local tradesmen either dining in or taking out. We stopped in for lunch and had a very nice hamburger with fries and a triple decker roast beef sandwich. The food was plentiful and good. The coffee ( with refills) was also good. Lots of breakfast and lunch things on the menu with no prices over $8. The service was homey and efficient. This was my first visit to Abbie's Diner. It was a Wednesday at 8am. Most of the tables were taken but there was ample room at the counter. I ordered the 3 pancakes. There is no television or music so I enjoyed my meal while listening to everyone's conversations. I was sitting by the cook so he gave me free bacon since he prepared too many. Staff was great and attentive despite the busy atmosphere. I also bought a Daisy's blueberry muffin which was ok. I wasn't thrilled to see cigarettes for sell though. read more

So I decided, Abbie's Diner would be a great place to have breakfast! I was completely right. I had ordered the original tower breakfast sandwich and it was perfect. It has that original diner feeling and was all around an incredible atmosphere to hang out or just have a quick bite. Located in the same building as a Deli and a Pharmacy, next to a gas station. The interior is small, but they make good use of it. You can sit at either a table or the counter, choose a beverage from their large refrigerated section, and my personal favorite... order breakfast after 12, noon! On my two visits, I tried the taylor ham, egg & cheese on a plain bagel and corned beef hash with over-easy eggs and white toast. Both were delicious, perfectly portioned and came out quick. It's a small cute hole in the wall place. This is the first time we had been here but the people that worked at the spot said that they've been around for many many years. It is incredibly cheap and affordable, we even ask them how do you survive this way and they said they have so many loyal customers that they never have to feel the need to increase their prices. My friends and I stumbled upon this place heading back to NYC. We entered and were seated right away. It's small but there's enough room to hold 12-14 people between the tables and the lunch counter. The waitress came over quickly for our orders. The menu had breakfast and lunch options. We kept it simple with sandwiches. The food arrived quickly and it was good. What a service disaster today. I never write ratings but need to here. The waitress was scary rude. Like trying to humiliate the customers rude. They were out of home fries, coffee, sausage, and had no cups to give us a glass of water. What we did get was horrible (eggs, Taylor ham and pancakes). So I have a job that requires me to get up very early and I have been to my fair share of diners and luncheonettes. First off. These people are the heroes of the early morning workers. These people are up before every one else and are open every day so that we can get our early morning cup of joe and egg and meat sandwiches to go. This place Abbie's is one of these places. I personally stop here once in a while for their world famous (their description) tower. It's only a meat, egg, and cheese sandwich on a hard roll with salt, pepper, ketchup as an option. As the food goes really nothing of note. Not to say its bad but its not something that knocks your socks off. The coffee is a little weak in my opinion as well but it'll do in a pinch. The reason for three stars is the service. It looks like a father son team which as a son of a father son team workforce I know the challenges that brings. The thing is these guys are always happy to see you and that your bringing you patronage to them. I know this is more of a diatribe about the working man than a review on food but small places like these in the 'burbs do need to be recognized for the effort they put forth every single day without fail. I just went here with my friend for lunch. We tried it based on the yelp reviews. The place is very tiny and tucked in a corner next to the market basket. They have about 4 little tables and a counter to sit at. Everyone talked about their "tower"sandwich. So I tried it. Ehh. It was a basic Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a hard roll. Nothing special. I've honestly had better. I also wanted to try the home fries since the reviews said they were really good. Well they must have been great because they were all out! So I settled on french fries instead. They were of the shoestring variety but good. My friend and I shared them and it was more than enough. Would I go back?
