However, once I got into natural lighting, I noticed the nail color appeared a bit blotchy and could have used an additional coat for a smoother, darker finish. I called today to ask if I could come in for a quick fix, fully expecting there might be a small charge for the adjustment. I was surprised to be told I would need to pay for a full service again ($45), especially considering I had just spent around $90 two days ago. This was disappointing, as I was simply hoping for a minor correction rather than a completely new service. I've always supported your business and recommended it often, which is why this experience was upsetting. While your service is usually great, this situation makes me reconsider returning in the future. I appreciate the work you do, but I do wish there had been more consideration in this case.

Stopped the service at the 1 hour and 15 mark. Additionally the receptionist was speaking very loudly and profane on the phone, apparently with an ex partner, which is in my opinion extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional even if there is no other customers but me. He kept at it "the price is the same but it's a higher end acrylic I know that's what you want right!?!" Still no, after multiple nos, I finally told him I was allergic and had bad rashes in responding to the powder. I had good success with Gel.x and wanted them again. He wasn't satisfied! Like I was just parroting something I heard but there was no way I could know my own mind? "Gel x is like a press on nail you don't want that" - Yes actually I did. And again, this wasn't my first set ever, I knew the glue lasts for 2-4 weeks so I was really baffled why he was pushing this so hard- additionally with acrylics he was going to be quite literally gluing on a nail to mine to build from- and low on the nail bed despite my chronic thin nails and this placements prone to creating rips and painful breaks. The tech was insistent, a poor listener and the highlight of why I rarely go into these shops anymore- a full set with the wrong shape and 1 coat of see through color. It was a complete wash and waste of $100. It also seems I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy or appreciate these encounters- every time I think it can be different and enter a shop it is a GHOST town. Stay away.

Let me tell you, I am so glad I did. To start, the shop is clean. Everyone is wearing masks and they are sanitizing between customers. They didn't notice me come in but you just sign in and wait. I appreciated they were very focused on the customers they were already working on. Myself and another lady were waiting, then someone else came in wanting a pedicure but they made sure to take everyone in order. While I will admit there is a wait, as soon as they cleaned and sanitized the pedi massage chair, they set me down with some warm water and relaxing bubbles. On top of that, the massage chair was amazing so if I had to wait 30 minutes with my book and music, I was in pure heaven. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait! I selected the Royal with the Shellac and was treated to a wonderful experience by Helen, my pedicurist (not sure of the term here). The Royal included a massage and foot treatments that rivaled any of the spas I have been to. By the end of the treatment my calves and feet were glowing and I felt so relaxed. Helen also did an amazing job on my toes and everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will warn people that on busy days expect a wait, and they only take walk-ins but if you are willing to wait you will be in for a treat.

Was referred to Imelda (by her sister who works there, too). I brought photos of the colors I wanted, and showed them on their hair chart what I wanted. Anyway, by the time they did the wrap and washed my hair, I could tell it was the worst job ever! I had BLACK streaks, and dark brown streaks in my hair! Horrible! I get foils as it gets to the scalp closer, but I had about 3/4" roots showing. I complained about the bad color, and they said it would come out over the weekend. So I go back the next Tuesday, and ask if there is ANYTHING they can do to make it look like I wanted, like Marilyn Monroe's color. Oh sure, they said. They put me at the sink, and then my hair was TOTALLY BROWN with black streaks! I asked again, I would pay extra, just get it looking at least silver again. Asked how much, they said $38. I said OK then. I don't think they did anything but shampoo it again. Then, they said their credit card machine was wrong, and charged me $20, and wanted me to write in $18 for a tip. I wrote NO TIP and $18 at the top. I spent $108 for a BAD job by Evolutions! So I disputed the $38 with the credit card company. Went to KETZIA'S STYLING SALON a week later, and Angie shampooed my hair once, and my hair was almost silver-gray again, just a little bit orange. At least I looked like myself again. I went back to Evolutions to "forgive" them as I hated to hate, and when I walked in, they said "See how good your hair looks!" I said I had another place fix it with one shampoo. Then the owner came out, and said she was calling the Alamo police because of "theft of services" because my credit card recredited me $18! And I was not allowed in their salon again. Sure enough, that afternoon, the Alamo police department came to my house. I explained the situation to the officer, showed him the before and after photos, and what I wanted. I had a lady friend whose hair was always so elegant looking. Come to find out, she's been going to Ketzia's for a decade! I've been back to get a perm, and it came out really good, considering all the hell my hair has been thru being processed so many times. It's really sexy looking on me! I'd recommend Ketzia, Angie, any of her stylists, and her hair products, for great service at good prices! There are about 4 people that work there, and men often go there, too. I go to the zumba classes next door, and often stop in to visit. Really nice people at Ketzia's Styling Salon!
