Avoid this psychiatrist. He is a monster who used to work at the Emory University Hospital…read morePsychiatric Unit. I was there the summer of 1970. He physically abused me under the pretense of performing a physical during the first 3-4 days I was there. It is very clear to me still and I was able to tell my life long psychiatrist about the incident before he died. I am now 73 and haven't forgotten it. If AI is correct Dr. Barry Neill Jones is now 82. If this is correct, he would've been around 26 when the abuse occurred. I still want someone to know about this, even though I am very late speaking out. I cannot rate my experience even with one star. The type of care was supposed to be for severe depression, the quality of care was zero as I wouldn't talk to him during sessions after what he did and I was referred to my life-long psychiatrist because he said he couldn't help me because I didn't like him. Back during this time, girls who were physically abused and touched inappropriately did not speak of it. Being in a psychiatric unit made it even worse, as no one would have believed me. The nurse who accompanied him into my room had been one of the nurses who was on duty when I was admitted. She was very nice to me when I was admitted, but during the time she was in the room with him when he asked me to take off my clothes, she said nothing. I still feel extreme hatred toward Dr. Barry Neill Jones. It seems that I am forced to give a star rating. I have to hit one star to post this. I am sorry I have to rate even with one star in order to post this. I hope I can save at least one young person from this doctor who put me through this horrific experience back in the summer of 1970.

I agree with the first post completely. This is a BUSINESS not a care provider…read more I have several reasons for terminating this practice as my provider, but without going on and on, a couple examples are: Each time I went in, it was like I was here for the first time. Susanne, who I saw each time, never seemed to have any recollection of previous visits, as I had to remind her of everything previously explained. I understand that they have a lot of patients, and it would be impossible to remember every single detail, but it was like she didn't even take 2 minutes to simply review my chart. It was impossible to progress at all as each time it was like starting over. And keep in mind, they have you come every single week for the first couple of months, so there was not much of a time lapse between each one. I was also "tricked" into taking a test for ADHD, the TOVA test. I was told before taking the test, that I may need to start taking a low dose of Aderall. I took the test, paid out of pocket, and was then told that I would need to be a patient of theirs for a year, before the would consider prescribing me the medication THEY suggested in the first place. Please stay away from this place.

Very frustrated with this practrice. Dr wants a blood draw on my family member , but she doesnt…read morehave the ability to write orders. In order to get meds refilled , dr wants us to go to another provider for the rx , and then to the lab. now dr mattam is literally lying and telling me she sent orders when she and her receptionist told me in person they have no affiliation with a lab , and I needed to see the primary care physician in the next door office if I want orders. after her story changed , When I asked where the labs were sent she said " how would I know". You own the business lady. Pull the file and tell us where to Go. I am not clueless. No one sent them. They tokd me twice they didnt have that ability. insurance really needs to drop her. We just needed a refill and this was a complete waste of time and money for adhd meds , as her dr closed his practice due to covid . We Never received Any orders or rx For refills . This dr is rude , hung up on me , then talked over me when I asked her three times not to do so , loses insurance cards and lies. Do not see her. Horrible work ethic. finally , the Person who told us she took our insurance , had warned me about her horrible bed side manner. Apparently , dr mattahm forced him to wrie a positive google review , while standing over his shoulder. This is a huge ethical issue in book.

This psychiatrist was bad news from my first phone call as a new patient. She would not take…read moreherself off of speaker phone until the third or fourth time I had to ask her to please repeat herself because I could not understand a thing!! Just rude. It was about her convenience, certainly not mine. I have been a patient under a few psychiatrists for nearly 15 years and I have never experienced such an ego or lack of compassion. She kept trying to catch me in lies about my dosage, diagnosis, previous doctor visits, and personal life. Insulted my previous doctor who was nothing but compassionate and professional. Scoffed at the kind of insurance I carry.... I left my first appointment sorry I had even asked for help and wondering what the heck had just happened. The tone during the appointment ranged from adversarial to insulting. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone who needs to heal. Good chance she will treat you like a liar or an idiot or both. Who does that?! The other reviewer was spot on as well.
