I gave them two stars because their billing department is an absolute nightmare. They do not pre-authorize visits appropriately, leaving you with unexpected charges of $400 + that you aren't notified of ahead of time, instead of your normal copay. This is not the first time we've had a billing issue with them, the billing office used to be in house now it's remote and you can't get anybody. Multiple times I have sat on hold for 30 to 45 minutes and then it disconnects instead of putting you through to someone. Or someone puts you on hold for half an hour and then it disconnects without them ever picking back up. So, good service from the providers, incredibly poor service from the billing department. Make sure you do your homework ahead of time and know what you're going to be paying. Contact your insurance company yourself because they're not always going to do it for you. The billing issue I'm having right now is for an established patient, no change in insurance, seeing a therapist that we were referred to WITHIN the office who knows our coverage. It is already so hard to find mental health providers and when you have kids who need help and are Asking for help, it is so frustrating when you can't do that for them because of issues like this. I will no longer have my card on file with them because they're going to charge it whether you know about it or not and it may not be what you're expecting.

I'd like to start my review by saying this is not about any of the providers at Geode Health. They…read moreare all wonderful people. My issue is with management and how they handled terminating my therapist. I received a call on Monday, the 18th at 11:28 PM from Katelyn Heckler regarding my appointment scheduled for Friday, the 22nd at 1:00 PM with Sarah Candelaria. She told me, and I quote from the voicemail: "I was just reaching out in regard to your appointment scheduled for this upcoming Friday, the 22nd at 1:00 PM with Sarah Candelaria. Unfortunately, last Friday, May 15th, we found out that afternoon that that was going to be Sarah's last day in office." I saw the voicemail and answered before it ended. When I asked what happened or why, I was told they didn't know; no explanation or further details were provided. This was a complete shock because I had seen Sarah on the 15th (the same day) at 8:00 AM, and she showed no signs of leaving; she was her usual cheerful and caring self. I just couldn't understand why this happened. There were no openings for me to see my other psychiatric care provider before my scheduled appointment, which was at that time still a week and a half away (now about a weeks). I immediately felt a panic attack coming on; my chest tightened, and I could feel the blood rushing to my head. This sent me spiraling. I was alone at home, overwhelmed with my thoughts. I cried and screamed into a pillow for about 20 minutes before I desperately tried to find answers. I do hope they start letting patients know how to find her if they'd like to continue seeing her; it feels almost like keeping people in-house and making money is more important than people getting the care they need. I was only ever asked if I'd like to "schedule an appointment with a new therapist," not "here's how to reach her." What concerns me most is that Geode never gave me that option. In past experiences, when a therapist left, I was always told how to contact them if I chose to follow. Patients deserve that same freedom. I worry about other patients who may not know how to reach her and could be left feeling abandoned or unsupported. For a mental health office, handling a transition like this so poorly can have a serious impact on vulnerable patients. I don't know what management could do now to improve my review. I have PTSD connected to past psychiatric care, and the way this was handled did not protect my mental health. In my opinion, this falls far short of what a mental health practice should provide.

100% BEST DR EVER HANDS DOWN!!!…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Vastanti's for almost a year now. I had to relocate to another state for business reasons and I'm going to have to get another doctor which breaks my heart. She has become more than just my doctor. She has become more than just a counselor that I can trust, more than just a therapist who really listens. She has become a true, close and valued friend who is genuinely interested in my well-being and in me achieving my best daily healthy self. I have never once been left hanging when I would ask a question. I have never been ignored or disregarded as just another patient. Several times I have needed her help in situations that were very important and in every single situation not only was I responded too quickly and professionally, but was also responded to in a respectful and caring manner as well. On top of that, the advice and information that she so generously gives is always extremely relevant and helpful. Because of her help, kindness, wisdom, experience and genuine care I have seen a complete turnaround in my life. There's no doubt in my mind or heart that God Himself had a hand in bringing Dr. Noushin Vastani into my life to get me the help that I needed. Help that I tried to get from several other professionals, but was not able to find. I highly recommend her and can tell you with full assurance that she will care for everyone who comes into her office with the exact same heart, kind-hearted manner, and genuine interest in your life! Not resting until you find all the answers needed is just the kind of person she is to the core! She truly desires to see each of her patients become the best healthy versions of themselves that they can possibly become! I speak this from experience! Thank you Dr. V with all of my heart for everything! You're definitely #1 in my eyes and I wish you only the best and every possible success and joy life has to offer. Thank you for helping me get my life back!

A medical office where the staff does not wear surgical masks during a year-long medical pandemic…read morecrisis. It is disgusting. If you ask to speak to a qualified medical doctor - a psychiatrist - you will be referred to a nurse practitioner. This entire chain does not have psychiatric medical doctors on staff; and their nurse practitioners are not directly supervised BY a medical doctor - which is really kind of hinky if you ask me. I suspect that this chain - LifeStance d/b/a Georgia Behavioral Health - is one of those vulture capitalist corporations where they try to scoop up all the insurance and Medicare dollars they can; wring what money they can out of the business and then crash and burn the whole thing, leaving patients hanging a** to the wind with no competent medical psychiatric care. Their main concern is not your health. If you need qualified psychiatric medical care - look elsewhere. If you want to get COVID-19, this might be a good place to start.

Finally, someone answered and they don't take Medicare which doesn't do me a lot of good. Let me elaborate: I was seeing another doctor in John's Creek before he quit and went to some place in Atlanta. I told him months ago that I would be on Medicare by the time of our next visit. He said he believed they could accommodate that. Wrong. The company itself does not accept Medicare so I have to keep searching.
