I purchased an ink cartridge that should have replaced the one that HP had discontinued. I was very clear with young man behind counter that I was unsure about the product because where one replacement had worked perfectly, another had not. He allowed me to purchase without ever a mention of the fact that my $30 would not be returned if the cartridge did not work for me. Pak n Mail allowed me to return the cartridge that did not work with a smile. The young man at Polestar told me "sorry, no can do" and sent me on my way with a very flippant "have a nice day"... I called Jeoff from Polestar on a Sunday holiday weekend when we were having a major network problem that was taking down our websites, e-commerce and all our point of sale registers. He called and said he was on his way to us and would troubleshoot the problem. In short order he found the problem that was knocking out our main network router. He found a bad cable that was essentially shorting out our primary internet ISP and failover backup. This is at least the 2nd time he has bailed us out from a disaster. I am SO happy with the work I had done at Polestar! I needed my computer completely wiped clean due to an infection by a virus. I called another place in the county and was quoted a price of about $200 (!). Then I called Polestar and was told $70 even, out the door. Very helpful, great service, and always has what we need. We are two preforming, indie, musicians, so we print our own fliers, CDs, posters, etc. We're always coming to Polestar buying printer ink and other supplies for our little indie selves. They've fixed our computers before when they've needed debugging. Did a great job. The staff here is very eager to help and always gives accurate information. These people ripped me off. The owner sold me a used computer that had a "fried" memory board, then charged me $75 to come out to my house to verify that it was not a working computer, and refused to refund the money I paid for the broken computer. He had to know that the computer he sold me was no good; but he sold it to me anyway. and then refused to refund the $100 he charged me for it. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE! read more
