We went back after 3 years and the food was very nice. The flavors come out in every bite. We started with their fried cheese balls and I loved the textures and the subtle flavors of the cheese. I went on to the chicken with white sauce which was subtly spicy and diverse. We also tried the arrabbiata cheese main course which was also wonderfully nice. We were in early so the service was stellar and the ambiance is that of a nice quiet higher end restaurant. We will be back sooner than 3 years.

Arancini ... the BEST I've ever had!

Wow wow wow! This place is a best kept secret of LG! We had a fabulous anniversary dinner here. It is a small restaurant with an unassuming little entrance in a back parking lot. There are around 10 tables with some seating at the bar... incredibly romantic with dimmed lights and comfy seating. The service was so friendly and kindly welcomed us upon arrival. All of the staff seemed like they truly cared about their diners and made sure the food that was coming out was top notch. What sets this restaurant apart is that all of their pasta is made from scratch and gluten free! This means we felt less guilty and bloated after eating all of the pasta. ;) The start of the meal was the arancini... omg out of this world good. The buttery wine sauce with melted cheese was sinfully delicious. I will go back just for those. I loved my grapefruit tequila cocktail, and we had the servers constantly checking to make sure we were good with how much water and sparkling water was poured which was a nice touch. I had the burrata strawberry salad and it was fresh and just what I wanted for the night. My husband had the vodka pasta, and had to fight me off from stealing too much. ;) When pasta is made fresh like at this restaurant, the pasta is irresistibly soft; makes all the difference in the flavor. It was so tasty. Lastly, we had the cannoli and it was good as well, but I definitely want to go back to try the other desserts because cannolis are just not my favorite.

Thank you thank you Today is my 35th wedding anniversary. My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease in May. we haven't been able to go out and really celebrate with a good meal because almost every single time he gets cross contamination and before you know it he's in the bathroom with severe stomach cramps. Today's meal was so good so flavorful the service was amazing so much that my husband was overwhelmed that he went outside and teared up because we are both foodies and enjoyed eating and our life has changed tremendously since the diagnosis even though we live about an hour and a half away, we know that this could always be our place to go to for future celebrations or just to get away for a good meal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this happen.

Quality went down, shrinkflation went up. It sucks how much has changed within a year. The bread is no longer complimentary. I've been looking forward to the Brushetta flight because it was sooooo good last time. Charred, huge slice of bread, plenty of toppings. This time, just plain, cold, small slices of a baguette. Toppings were definitely smaller. This really disappointed me. As for the entrees, my partner got the beef short rib ragu and barely touched it. He didnt like it, said it was gamey and the sauce wasn't good. For me, I was still pretty hungry so I ate all of the lamb shank. But its not worth $48. Taste was average. It's pretty cold in the restaurant, we kept our coats on. And the waitress was fine. They are definitely nicer to the groups of 4 than the groups of 2. We didnt like the food enough to even look at the dessert menu. Due to the decrease in quality, I wouldn't come again

Food: food here was amazing, love that they are gluten free kitchen. Enjoyed the calamari and pork chop! I will say that the drink here are pretty expensive around $20 each and nothing super special about them. And the bread is no longer free, a bread plate is $5. Service: service here is great. They are very attentive. Ambiance: this is a very intimate space, if you are not comfortable being close to someone I would not recommend. I did feel a little close and feel like I could easily hear both conversations to the right and left of me. I will say the one down fall is the bathroom, there is no inside bathroom and the outdoor bathroom is pretty bad. When paying over $200 for a 2 person bathroom expect a little bit better in this area.

What an absolute gem of a place. I've parked in the parking lot so many times and never noticed this lovely quaint restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant it feels very private with lovely white table cloth setting. Lovely comfortable chairs. It's not a large space, more an intimate setting which I find refreshing as you don't need to look for a staff member. Chris, our service was just absolutely fantastic. She's so very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. Also, compliments to the chef, for the memorable and delicious mean. The filet was perfection, and the mashed potatoes were so fluffy and tasty. My friend ordered the strawberry salad and I immediately wished I had also ordered that as well, but I will go again soon and order the strawberry salad. She said she'll order that again next time. I'm super excited that I found Polenteria and it's in my top favorite restaurants now. Great price point as well.

Delicious! This was such a delightful find. My son has celiac and it is always difficult to find an Italian restaurants that take gluten allergy seriously. This gem is completely gluten free! The bread, pasta and desserts are all made in-house and my son was over the moon! we had the flight of bruschettas (Napoli, Funghi, Piemonte & Roma), the Polenta con salsiccia e funghi, Bucatini alla Norma, Braised Beef Pappardelle and finished it off with Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant is tiny but elegant - perfect for an intimate romantic dinner. Well heeled clientele and appreciated my Prosecco coming in a coupe. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Third review of this place , this time for brunch. Food was interesting and fresh, especially the gluten free biscuit, but the portions were very small and overpriced. My eggs Benedict had ONE poached egg. For $23.. that's a bit insane. The waiter was super nice and as always, the place was very classy, but I was surprised at the portion size. Hopefully they take this into consideration as they serve brunch more. Or at least serve it with a side of fruit or something to supplement. The baked good also leave a bit to be desired and are $7 each. I may go back to try the pancakes, but only for an occasion. I prefer this place for dinner

First visit to Polenteria LG. This new gluten-free restaurant really shows its commitment to quality and the overall experience is pleasant The dining atmosphere is warm and modern, and the space is simple but comfortable, suitable for dates or gatherings with friends. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and not noisy, allowing people to focus on the food itself In terms of dishes, the gluten-free bread provided before the meal is excellent, soft and full of flavor, and is one of the best I have tasted so far. The main dishes of mushroom sausage polenta and meat sauce polenta are seasoned just right, with a mellow taste, fully showing the advantages of the ingredients themselves. The Paloma cocktail is well-proportioned, refreshing but not overpowering, and is a good choice for pairing The service experience is generally satisfactory. The waiter is friendly and professional, and can explain the menu in detail. However, due to the popularity of the restaurant, the serving time is slightly delayed. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to ensure a smooth meal Overall, Polenteria LG has set a high standard in the field of gluten-free cuisine. The food is delicious and attentive, and the atmosphere is suitable. If the service efficiency can be optimized, I believe it will be even better. Looking forward to the next dining experience

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

Food very good! We had antipasti of mom's meatballs and calamari fritti, flavorful, not salty, just the right amount of EVERYTHING, bread is nice and crunchy chewy. Got anymore?? Service: Lorena Lorena...... best bartender, comedian, filipino sistah from another other mother. Whips up magic drinks and witty conversation out of the blue. She's a diamond! Ambiance: so very non descript from outside but inside is nice and cozy, surprising full of guests. Dim lighting, tasteful decor, no loud music to shout over... had a proper conversation with my girls. Definitely come by when in LG

There are only 2 seats at the bar, which makes for a perfect moment
Karen W.

Food was amazing. Perfectly breaded calamari with peppers. The steak was off the chain, right on the money medium rare and lightly seasoned, but the ambiance takes the cake. Feels like you are home with a beautiful sense of style.

Adorable little restaurant in Los Gatos! I went there with a few friends and tried the bruschetta flight, chicken Parmesan, and formaggio polenta. What works: -- the whole menu is gluten free! -- Lovely atmosphere. It's a small space with soft lighting, candles on each table, and throw pillows in each booth. It felt very cozy -- music was fun but not too loud or distracting -- the bruschetta flights were a fun way to try out some new flavors! I enjoyed the Vincenzo most -- the chicken Parmesan was really crispy and well breaded -- the polenta was very flavorful and creamy What didn't work: -- the polenta was very heavy. It's clear that there's a lot of butter and cream and while that makes it tasty, I do wish there were more fresh elements on the plate to balance it out -- very little pasta is on the menu which I found odd considering it is an Italian restaurant -- I was charged for a full bottle of sparkling water :/ I would've appreciated it if they gave a heads up that I'd be getting a whole bottle instead of just a glass Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere, it's a lovely place for a date or intimate dinner with friends.

The carbonara was amazing--served super hot with great flavor and a solid amount of meat. Easily a 10/10. One tip though: eat it while it's hot, because once it cools down, it's not quite the same. The seafood pasta was also a standout. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and it felt surprisingly light for a pasta dish. You know how pasta can sometimes feel heavy? This didn't have that at all. Another 10/10. The pesto pasta (a special that day) was just okay for me. It leaned a bit too oily, and the pesto flavor didn't really come through. They added ricotta, which kind of overpowered everything else. I did like the portion and the amount of meat, but overall I'd give it a 7/10. The ambiance was decent--nothing too special, but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. It felt like a family-run place--three brothers along with their wives and kids--and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They gave great recommendations and even helped accommodate my mom by seating us closer to the bathroom, which I really appreciated. Just a heads up: it's in downtown Los Gatos, so parking can be a bit tricky since there's no private lot. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. The portions and quality justify the price, and it stands out as one of the better Italian spots in the Bay Area.

Appetizers: Calamari - 3/5 the batter was light which I liked but I wished it had more seasoning. It felt on the more bland side. Pasta: I got the Saliccia e funghi, it was light and flavorful. I like the pasta noodle and the combination - which had chicken, mushrooms. I don't go out of my way for Italian food but I'm so glad I found this place! Definitely will be back to try different dishes.

But hey, for a higher price, they better deliver on the food quality! It most certainly disappoint. The food was amazing. Got the Linguini Fruti Di Mare, the seafood was good quality, the cioppino sauce was intense. It truly is the boss of the sauce. Also ordered the Chicken Marsala, I'm always cautious before ordering because the marsala wine can easily become overwhelming, or the sauce is too sour, or the chicken is tough and dry. I did not hit any of those, but rather, what I got was a few silky smooth and tender pieces of flattened chicken breasts, that is moist and flavorful. The sauce is great too, not to mention the mushroom, that is so fresh and flavorful on its own. Last but not least, their attention to detail went all the way to mashed potato and steamed vegetables. It was truly one of the best. Did I mention the free, fresh baked foccacia? It's among the top 3 I've had in any restaurants, ever. At the end, even it pinches my wallet a bit, it was well worth it. Parking wasn't too bad at 6pm (we could park in the middle areas of the hotel parking lot) but by the time we left, the parking lot was full. She provided us with recommendations at the top and when we were asking questions about getting multiple dishes family-style, she provided feedback on whether it would be enough for the table. We felt well-attended to. Asa does rotate through their menu and the main downside was timing for us! My sister really wanted the carbonara she had seen on the menu but they had literally switched over to their spring menu. No carbonara for my sis. :( We shared: Jamon Iberico (good, straightforward), Caesar salad (I wish I had had my own! Really well dressed), trumpet mushrooms (the vinegar was a little too strong for my sister but I thought it was tasty and delicious), cauliflower (sister's favorite dish), spring pasta à la vodka (good, although it didn't particularly stand out in my opinion), exotic mushroom rigatoni (delicious!) and my favorite, the Argentine steak. The chimichurri sauce was perfect to balance out the meat, and I loved dipping the fries in the remnants of the sauce. Only 2 of us got dessert and we both chose the olio nuevo ice cream. They used high quality olive oil and the entire thing was delicious. Would definitely get again! Overall, excellent experience and food at Asa.
