We were a party of 4 adults for lunch last Tuesday; 3 were there for sushi burritos (new to the experience) and 1 ordered the aloha poke bowl (already being a fan). The employee seemed a little flustered at 5 people suddenly in queue, but was quick and polite. Our orders were taken quickly, and another employee came out to help. Those who ordered the burritos rated them 2- 4 out of 5, and 1- 5 out of 5 rating. For the poke bowl; it was amazing! The rice was fresh & warm, the amount of salmon & tuna was generous, and the seaweed salad was a perfect touch. While we were waiting for our food, 3 separate doordash orders came thru; the dining area only had one other table occupied, but it seems like this place may be a popular takeout spot. read more

First time here, definitely returning. I like that they offer a few options that are their own concoction. Sometimes we know what we like but do not know exactly what goes well together. You do have the option to make a custom bowl but I opted for the easy Salmon Oasis which was REALLY good. Very good! The interior is clean and quiet (and sparsely decorated) but the food is great! You can load up the poke bowls with lots of free toppings and make it however you want, or choose from some specialty poke bowls on the menu. You get a lot of fresh options for the price, and my bowl was the perfect size for a meal on its own. Bf ordered Kung Pao chicken from the Asian Wok and he really enjoyed it. This is also a great option for dietary restrictions--very easy to make pescatarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc.! read more

I'm giving three stars because to be fair I didn't eat there, but honestly I couldn't because as soon as I walked in to the empty restaurant the smell hit me...and then I knew I probably shouldn't try it. It smelled bad y'all, kinda like old Asian sauce. I know hard to imagine it's hard for me to explain but it just smelled old and stale. I got one scoop of salmon and one scoop of the marinated tuna, edamame, cucumber, green onion, cilantro, masago, jalapeno, fried onion, and citrus ponzu. This little hole in the wall on Mass St. makes some of the best sushi bowls. You can choose to either build your own sushi bowl or burrito OR you can choose off their pre-made options. They also offer sides + an entire separate menu just for Chinese food! It's fresh, tasty, and affordable with top-notch service. Everyone in my group that I went with approved of their meal. Absolutely LOVE this place! Truly the only place of it's kind in Lawrence. Always great service, always great food, super fresh and quick! As someone who has a very strict diet, Poke Point has become one of my go-to local restaurants in town. Loved this poke place!! A wide range of toppings and with 2 proteins it's only 10-11!! They had most of the toppings I wanted and they had this wasabi aioli which I mixed with a sweet shoyu that was really good!! I am a huge fan of wasabi so I really liked it! This is the only poke place in town (yes, Sushi Station has a poke item and no, that doesn't count). It has no competition and I wish it did. This is a Chipotle-style build you own bowl place that has rice bowl and sushi burrito options. It is...adequate. Sometimes the fish doesn't taste the freshest and there's variability in the size of the portions. The fountain drink machine has been broken for a while. The price is in the normal range for this type of place. I do like the citrus ponzu sauce, which I haven't seen offered as often at these places. They also offer an Asian stir fry menu - think American-style Chinese food with heavy sauces - though I have yet to try that. It does smell good. The crab Rangoon dip intrigues me but I'm afraid I might like it too much and keep going back. read more

I'm going to call this "high end fast food" or "fast food sushi" or maybe "Chipotle meets sushi". If your a sushi fan, you'll like this. If you don't, they have non-sushi items too. I had my first sushi burrito in California this summer and LOVED it....a little more than Pokéloha's sushi burritos, but I think it's because California's was wrapped in seaweed but with the rice and tempura flakes on the OUTSIDE, so more like the sushi rolls I'm used to. But YUM!!! Pokeloha's quality is excellent. This is high quality, fresh, VERY delicious fast food... and I don't eat fast food. I do wish that this place had a recycling bin for plastic cups. I love health food and I love sushi, so I was happy to visit Poke Point for the first time last week to try it out. I ended up getting the vegan poke bowl, a safe option for me, because the staff working there were not knowledgeable and a bit impatient. When I sat down I was frustrated, and began contemplating a review. As I was thinking about what to write, I was eating my vegan poke bowl, and that's when I had a sudden realization that it was really tasty :) It was fresh, nicely presented, tasted good, and the sauces were wonderful. So I brought my family there this Sunday. We had sushi burritos with salmon and tuna, and miso soup. The food again was great - fresh, fast, flavorful, and healthful. We loved the sushi burritos. Unfortunately, again, the staff working there were not very knowledgeable. Pros: - The food is great and fresh - Healthy choices! - A wonderful, nicely lit space - Clean Cons: - a tad overpriced - no spot on the bill to leave a tip and no tip jar (maybe that's why the workers are a bit impatient?) - I had to ask how to tip and they issued me a separate check - no recycling (come on, healthy food place, you can do it! Get a recycling bin!) - no gender-neutral restroom - yes, this matters - no gluten-free soy sauce. Literally everything else seems to be gluten free, so I do not understand why the place cannot take this extra step to accommodate those of us who avoid gluten. Every other sushi place in town does it! I'll be back, but hopefully the place will improve and get five stars from me down the road. read more
