This pan Asian poke place opened recently and i happened to be in the area to try. The poke place has a rather small store front and it was somewhat crammed inside the store. The staff did not do anything to mitigate it.
I opted for one of the warm bowls, the ahi tuna. I was going to go for the salmon but my friend advised that it had a fishy taste to it.
So like with most poke places, you choose your base and i selected brown rice because I'm so healthy. The ahi tuna bowl consisted of a variety of toppings such as edamame, sprouts, radish coins and furikake. The miso glace was quite nice but ...
I deducted two stars because I repeatedly told the staff for less sauce. When the first staff was making my food, he put some sauce o it, then passed it to the next one who also proceeded to add more sauce. I told them i had asked for less sauce and the second staff said "oh, this is already less sauce." I wasn't happy about the service. Instead of scraping off some sauce, she acted like she didn't do anything wrong. She continued to make my bowl and even stirred the sauce in a bit so I wasn't able to scrape it off myself.
Anyway, my poke bowl was a bit salty than i would've liked it. Don't think i would go back especially with that kind of attitude. read more
