I've had PokeDoke several times now, and I've been impressed every time! The Central West End location somewhat recently moved across the street, so I visited their new location for the first time last night! The interior is very nice, clean, and spacious! Service has been great in all my past visits, but the employees who helped us last night were especially amazing! They were all so incredibly friendly and personable. The food itself is delicious. I created my own bowl with brown rice, chicken, edamame, carrots, green onion, sesame seeds, pineapple, mango, cucumber, and teriyaki mayo. They have a wide variety of topping options... there's something for everyone! If you like spice, my boyfriend loves the Volcano Bowl. Love this place! read more

Im back out again! And I've never heard of poke doke until That day. Looking at the place it was nicely put together and nice inside. Due to going to training I couldn't stop and eat but we took the food to go. They were so friendly to explain how to order the bowl was delicious! It reminded me of chipotle/qdoba but with raw meat! I couldn't try the other options! But the honey dew boba tea is definitely 10/10 recommend. It's a bit expensive but it's truly good. I would come back indeed! read more

This is a pretty standard poke restaurant. They offer a quite a few options for sizes, and there are a lot of ingredient options to choose from. The fish tasted clean and fresh, and my combination overall tasted great. Price is pretty standard for poke. Service was pretty quick and nice. There's not really anybody inside eating, so it would probably be better doing takeout, which is what I did. Overall, if you're looking for a quick bite in Central West End, I think this is a good option. read more

It's been a while since I've had poke, but this place was good. There was a really solid amount of meat on my Volcano Bowl, although I would've appreciated more crispy onions. I noticed they've moved from across the street and the food quality has definitely improved. Poke is one of my favorites and I always feel taken care of by the staff when ordering. The store is not busy so if you need a quick bite and a little bit of peace I'd recommend. Oh how I love the poke bowls here. I usually get the build your own regular sized bowl, which is very generous size. You get 2 big scoops of protein (I get salmon and tuna; keep in mind this is poke, so it's raw, but they do have some cooked options). I usually get the white sushi rice, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, non spicy sauce, pineapple, sometimes avocado, crab meat, and the teriyaki mayo. Oh. My. Lawd. It's so freaking good. I just discovered won ton chips, which are the perfect accompaniment to this poke masterpiece. I generally order online ahead of time. It's always ready at the specified time, and it's always been correct. It's an easy pick up, although last time, several employees were just sitting looking at me while I stood there trying to pick up my bag. That seemed to be an off day, though. This is in the central west end, so if you're picking up for lunch during the week, keep in mind- that area is crazy and parking isn't easy. It's worth the extra effort, though. read more

Located in delmar loop, the shop has a rly nice ambiance though there were some tables that were dirty (I'm guessing from a shortage of workers). This poke place gets good reviews, but being one of only two customers there during lunch time (when most of the other restaurants in the area were full) should have been a red flag that PokeDoke just isn't very good. I was not very impressed with my poke bowl: the ahi tuna I ordered was so/so quality (not properly trimmed so there were tendons in it), the topping selection was just ok (most poke places I've visited have twice as many toppings), and the sauces were not very flavorful. Also, the size of my bowl was pretty small for the price (and $20 is a lot to pay for a poke bowl, even a larger sized one). My poke bowl was good, decent portions and good fresh fish. Flavors were all there. My issue was the price is $$$$ a little much. I'm used to a medium poke bowl being $14 but I'm also from the west coast so prices I'm sure must be justified somewhere. But I literally spent almost $30 for a drink and SMALL poke bowl for one person. It was pretty excessive. Also the actual restaurant had a sewer-like smell. Needed to grab a quick and easy dinner one night while we were out and about in Central West End. Walking past Poke Doke, my boyfriend and I were both very interested! While we really were looking to dine-in, we decided the offerings at Poke Doke were well worth a grab and go situation. Ordering was really easy online. You picked your size and base. We both got soba noodles, but I ALMOST got the wonton chips. Next you select your poke and mix ins. I ordered Ahi and Spicy Tuna. Finally you picked your toppings and drizzles. They had so many awesome options. I chose avocado, edamame, crabmeat, masago and ginger. The drizzles all sounded so good, and I'm a sauce feind! I'm not even ashamed to say that I got my bowl topped with spicy mayo, teriyaki mayo, sweet thai chili, soy sauce and gochujang. There was a moment after I hit submit that I may have gone overboard on the sauces, but you only live once dear reader. Shout out to the AMAZINGLY friendly employees of Poke Doke who made my meal so deliciously. Thanks for being awesome Ronnie, Ashley, Eric and John!! We ordered when we got to the restaurant and they allowed only 2 people inside at a time - totally understandable but be prepared to wait in the cold if thats the case! A great Poke restaurant located in the busy CWE neighborhood. Great staff who always get my order perfect (even with recent online ordering d/t COVID). I've never had a problem with portion size or the quality of my food. Great portion for the price of the food. Good variety in food options. My go to is the regular bowl w/ salmon, shrimp, octopus, spicy poke sauce, cucumber, all add ons (except avocado and kimchi) with my choice of drizzle on the side. It's a delicious option. I haven't been able to try any of their pre selected options as I am a creature of habit and rarely deviate from an order if I find it suits me well. Parking could be a bit better, but there is plenty of street parking located within a short distance from the restaurant. I think they have adapted amazingly to COVID. Only allowing online ordering, no indoor dining whatsoever, and contactless pick up. read more

Ok - yet again - why did I wait so long to try this place??!! It's a 3 minute walk from my home. I'm almost embarrassed to admit, I've never had poke before. BIG MISTAKE! It was delicious! I like many of the components of the poke bowl so, of course, I enjoyed it. It's carry out only right now due to Covid. The online ordering is great. We simply selected the items we wanted to include in our bowls. We randomly selected items we like. There may be an official way to do this but we picked anything that sounded good. And it worked because we can't wait to go back!! The food was ready at the correct time. The online ordering is easy to use. There were other people picking up orders as I went in. They were definitely regulars! It's always comforting to see regulars. It's a sign of a good restaurant. I thought the price point was good. Our small bowls were each $11.50. We had plenty of food. This is probably my favorite Poke place in the city, all the fish was fresh, they had great sauce options, good portion sizes for the price - a ton of food. The dumplings were bomb. It's also extremely easy to order then pick up. My only complaint was we need more topping options!! As someone that is a heavy veggie eater, I felt like they had like 3 options. It was a little sparse in that sense. I would have liked to see a little more. Also, don't get the boba tea, it's $5 for a small and you can find better options for a better price around the corner. St. Louis is always little slow on food trends, but I was super excited to hear poke was finally starting to arrive! This place has been on my radar even before it opened, thank you social media. My spouse and I checked out PokeDoke for dinner one night. Parking was pretty difficult to find, but it's to be expected as this restaurant is located in CWE. I was having trouble figuring out which of the three sizes to choose. Small, regular, or large. I decided to go with the small which came with two scoops of protein. I had two scoops of the salmon with a base of white rice. I went with the medium poke sauce, but I think I'm going to go with the spicy next time. Toppings: mango, seaweed salad, masago, green onion, friend onion, and wasabi, all topped with a drizzle of wasabi mayo. I'm not sure I can say it's the best poke I've ever had in my life, but it sure was tasty. The salmon was pretty good, I liked the poke sauce that was used. The toppings went really well with the meat and the rice. I really just see poke as a deconstructed sushi roll, which I already love. I was really surprised as to how full I was at the end of the meal. Though I chose the smallest size, I was pretty stuffed. If I had chosen the regular size, I would've been very uncomfortable. Right next to Barnes and Jewish, this place is way more convenient for me than the Blk Market. But - this restaurant fails mainly in it's execution. First, if you say you are gluten free - have a list or train your employees. Some of the staff are great and others are meh. And please have your employees wear gloves. I saw them dump frozen crab raggon with their bare hands. And I've been here now multiple times and although the food is decent and it's getting better. I am not the biggest fan. Things to Note: 1) Three sizes: 2 - 4 tiny scoops. The large is equal to the standard at the Blk Market competitor. 2) Lots of seating and it is hot inside 3) Fish needs to be colder. This is the thing that bothers me the most 4) Quality of Tuna is much lower than Blk Market and not seasoned well 5) They have soba noodles 6) Wifi is coming. Oooo 7) Customize your own, but there isn't a opt in standard if you don't know how to mix/match Pros: 1) Lots of Seaweed Salad 2) Choose whatever toppings but avocado is extra Cons: 1) Seems like they always run out of stuff, and they didn't even have a simple spicy mayo sauce left by 1pm. Make more! 2) Not generous with their scoops or they just need bigger spoons! Or make sure u just get the large scoops bc of the ratio/rice/salad. 3) Warm rice was too mushy 4) Basic mix salads and they emptied the edamame right out of the frozen bag I love Poki but this place is the reason why you shouldn't have Poki in the midwest. Raw fish should be cold! If this is your first time with Poki, then it's decent. But - def. go to the Blk Market which is like down the street for better Poki and fresher ingredients. One girl was helping another customer and the other was cashing someone else out. So a gentleman came from the back. Then she passed us off to the last young lady who was also pleasant and helpful. The bowl was yummy, noodles are now my favorite base. The seafood options had a great taste and texture. My only not so great point was the Thai Boba Tea. The boba has a great taste and texture but the tea was pretty bland and not as creamy as i'm use to.
