I have a go-to of sushi rice base topped with sweet corn, edamame, cucumbers, ginger, avocado, ahi tuna, salmon, yum sauce, tempura flakes, roasted garlic, and dried seaweed. I feel like their quality is very consistent and at that their quality is great! Compared to other poke places I've been too Poke Fun (9 times out of 10) has great quality fish, there rice is always warm and fresh, their avocado is usually always perfectly ripe, I always seem to get the right amount of sauce and they don't skimp on your fish either! I compare them to many other poke places that either had no avocado available or it was never ripe, other places rice was usually cold/ old, never enough sauce or enough rice, etc.. so I feel like you always end up satisfied like you got your moneys worth here! read more

The large looked huge. The quality of their fish is good. You can tell it's been handled properly. All of the add ons and toppings tasted and looked fresh. The poke sauce is strong and has a very distinct flavor. I requested poke sauce to be on the lighter side. Their prices are very reasonable for poke and the amount of food you get. It is a very clean fast order POKE restaurant. You pick what bas, I picked white rice. Then you pick what type of fish. The portions are small so I order more and then it gets pricey. Should serve more fish for the money. But the only POKE place in Murfreesboro that I know of. read more

The only reason I rated them 4 stars is that it is not a fancy restaurant. It is sophisticated fast food, but excellent fast food. Your meal is served in disposable dinnerware, on a tray. But it is very good. This review will describe the experience and then talk about the actual food I ate. Poke was new to me. It is like a scattered sushi. It is served in a bowl, in layers and is quite tasty. There are so many combination options. The ingredients are staged in the serving area. As you ask for ingredients, the preparer adds the items to your bowl. It is more along the idea of Blue Coast Burrito or Subway. You never touch the serving spoons, so you are guaranteed safer food. You can choose your own ingredients or go with one of their suggested combinations. If you choose to build your own, you have to pick what size, and that is governed by how many proteins you select. From there, you pick your base which is a choice of rices or (yes) tortilla. One mistake I made was to allow them to give me a full portion of rice. My diabetes and capacity did not like that. It was very good, however. Eleven "Add-ons" are available, and you can choose any or ALL of them. There is no limit "Adding your flavor" is the next step, which are sauces. You can pick two, but more will cost a slight upcharge. Toppings are unlimited as well, but a select three are an upcharge. There are Ten options. Beer is not available, but there is a self-serve soft drink machine. Make sure you find the refrigerator case of Hawaiian and Japanese soft drinks is. The Surfing Signature Bowl was wonderful. There was plenty of wonderful sashimi. It was diced, but easy to eat with chopsticks. All the toppings were wonderful. I will be going back. read more

Wasn't quite sure how Poke would be in Murfreesboro but decided to give it a try. The quality of the tuna and salmon in the Volcano I had was first class, the sushi rice was good and sticky and very flavorful and the green mix was super fresh. There are a vast amount of toppings and sauces to add. We also shared an order of green tea mochi ice cream which was great. The service was excellent, the staff came over to check how we liked our meal and were very friendly. This beats the local offerings of very average sushi in town, so will now be a regular at Poke fun and give the sushi a miss. Great place I hope it's well supported so we don't lose it!! read more

The workers are very friendly and helpful. We were greeted and immediately asked if we have tried Poke before. We went with the bowls of Volcano, Surfing, and Shrimp/crab (for my mom bc she doesn't eat raw fish.) Everything turned out delicious and it was very filling. Once you get your bowl, you mix everything together and eat it. At first I was scared to stir the entire portion of wasabi I was given into my bowl. I actually took it out and put it on the side to add on here and there. In the end, I used the whole thing. Next time, I'm just gonna leave the entire wasabi in there since I do like a kick. If anyone is wondering about the raw fish scoops/portion. It was a lot! It definitely didn't look like you had a lot when they are first assembling your personal bowl. (I had the Volcano.) I'm a Nashville local and was in Murfreesboro for a couple of days for an event. I looked up restaurants close to me with a focus on Thai and sushi and saw this in the results as a Poke restaurant. It is conveniently located yet a small place in a large plaza so may take a little looking to find it. I arrived around 1230 - prime lunch time on a Friday. There were 4 - 5 people in front of me with half picking up online orders. I ordered the Volcano bowl and subbed the standard proteins with cubed spicy tuna and shrimp and a greens base. The food was prepared in front of me and I paid within 2 minutes or ordering. The tuna melted in my mouth full of flavor itself with plenty of additional with what's included with the volcano bowl. Everything tasted very fresh and I would not hesitate to go back again (considering going back for dinner tonight). I've seen similar reviews where the protein portions could have been larger; however, I did not find myself hungry before dinner. Definitely check out this place if you're a sushi, Thai, or Poke fan.
