    Poke bowl

I usually love this place, but recently I DoorDashed from this spot and noticed rotten salmon pieces in my poke bowl. Had to throw the whole bowl away. The salmon that pieces that didn't look okay had a weird smell. Disappointed.

My first time experience coming here was great! Inside was squeaky clean, the setup is nicely displayed and stocked. The staff is really friendly being that it was my first time Jose was patient and helpful. Food is really fresh, and the spicy tuna has a nice smokey spicy flavor. I loved how my poke bowl came out! Portions are hefty, I have enough for my lunch and dinner! Prices are a little high but it's okay the quality is worth it. Great place to come for some fresh poke!

Decent poke place across the street from Round 1. As other reviewers have stated, it's a little pricier than other poke places and they charge for hamachi, shrimp, avocado, and tamago (egg). The cubes of fish are pretty small, as is their scooper, but because we ordered the large size with 4 proteins, I think it was filling enough. They charge $2 per scoop or hamachi so it was $4 more for our two scoops. $18.95 for the large bowl plus $4 so $22.95 plus tax. The fish tasted okay (nothing stood out) and the mix of brown rice and salad and the ponzu sauce were good. Portions for the sides were reasonable. The soda machine is out of order but the employee was nice enough to get us some cups of tap water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The parking lot is not very big and was pretty packed on Saturday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's 3 high two top high bar tables with bar stools and one lower table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a reasonable option for a quick dinner in the area.

I come here at least once a month and am super bummed their prices went up but not shocked because I know that happens. The same guy is always working there when I come in and he is pretty knowledgeable and offers good suggestions. I enjoy the poke here. It is a great spot to grab a quick lunch. I have never had to wait too long. I got a small bowl with tuna and salmon + spicy crab. I think this place is solid option for a quick bite and to eat something fresh. No complaints here.

Yummy !!! I got the basic spicy tuna and ahi tuna . So good I've been looking for a new spot and this may be the one . I get my moneys worth here opposed to the last few spots I've tried . Fresh fast and delish ! Great customer service and quick too :)

This used to be my go-to place when I'm craving poke, but unfortunately, the quality has gone down throughout the years. I ordered for pick up and decided to eat there since there were tables available. I ordered a large that's $18.95 which comes with 4 scoops of protein (salmon, ebi, spicy crab meat and tai) with half spring mix and white rice. The rice was extremely and it did not taste like sushi rice. The ingredients don't seem to be as fresh as it should be plus the price is a bit extreme for the quality that you get.

After several visits to PokeDon in Hayward, it's high time to share our experience. The create-your-own Poké bowls offer a satisfying customization experience, which allows customers to tailor their meal to their liking. During our multiple visits, we've always enjoyed the service and our final selections. Although prices have increased slightly, this is understandable and noticeable everywhere these days. An important note... while the inner parking lot can be a bit tight, venturing a bit further to the adjacent parking lot would be a better option. Overall, the simplicity of the ordering process coupled with the quality and freshness of the ingredients, especially their proteins such as the salmon and tuna options, definitely makes PokeDon a reliable choice for a quick and flavorful meal.

When I first found out about poke, my friends and I would drive all the way from Hayward to San Ramon for Poke Don. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. But I think I got it so often I grew tired of it. Fast forward to this year when my friend suggested poke for dinner I was excited, not realizing there is a Poke Don in my area. It was like that one scene in Ratatouille where the critic tastes it and suddenly was brought back to a flashback. That's what happened to me. I can't wait to go here again because of the quality of the food/ingredients. But not only that, one of the employees was very friendly and happy to be open, especially during these pandemic times, so you can tell that his heart was for his business.

Update price as of Match 25, 2025.

The food is good. Service is fair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There aren't as many tables, but the cleanliness is there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most people would buy Togo. Just want to update the pricing with this review. See attached photo.

My 2 protein bowl with edamame, Tuna, shrimp, seaweed salad, cucumber, brown rice, and spicy tuna

TO-GO REVIEW ONLY: 3.5 Stars So sad that my favorite poke bowl, POKE ONE place closed down so i decided to try this spot as i was craving poke. PARKING: Plenty of parking in front PRICE:$13.23 ORDER: 2 Protein Bowl, Shrimp & Tuna + spicy tuna. TOPPINGS: Seaweed salad, cucumber, edamame, brown rice, spicy mayo, ponzu, house soy sauce OVERVIEW: I noticed right away their shrimp was the baby shrimp not the big shrimp where most place uses n honestly i dont like the baby small shrimp. I can definitely taste the difference. it almost taste fake to me. They had all the sauces but for some reason the overall taste it was a strong taste not the best i ever had for sure. Their spicy tuna is grind up into small pieces not sure why?!. These places r usually a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they r good and some places r okay only. Sorry but i wont be back unless i am in the area and craving poke.

I usually love this place but this time around it wasn't it. The rice was hard and burnt. I had to toss my whole bowl out.

Why not have seared option for all other proteins? I also got this weird yellow color object(on table cloth) that almost broke my tooth. I don't even want to think what that was but looks like some sort of hard plastic(i am hoping that was it) or a piece of someone's yellow tooth (less preferred option) next!
