Didn't feel like going out so propped up the DoorDash and found this. I decided on the cajun bowl which has crawfish and shrimp tempura as the proteins. Based on the reviews from YELP and DoorDash, nearly everyone mentioned it so had to jump on the train. Pretty good bowl with all the ingredients combined with the sriracha aioli and poke city sauce along with the other cold veggies and garnishes. Not bad for a take out spot. They also offer Boba Tea/Smoothies, Teriyaki Bowls, Sushi Burritos, Sushi, Ramen, and Hibachi items. But with a name like Poke City, the Poke bowls are what they are known for. I'll have to try the other items sometime next time I'm back in Hammond. read more

Great spot to grab a quick bite to eat. We tried the cowboy ramen and the Cajun bowl. Both were full of flavor and filled to the rim. We definitely got our moneys worth. Place was clean and staff were very friendly. Will be back! read more

Bought a Cajun Bowl for someone else who had never had their bowls before and they loved it! I also tried an American bowl, and it was good (again for a cold raw food meal.) Also, their boba tea smoothies are ADDICTIVE! Particularly, for the hot Louisiana days! I recommend the Strawberry Smoothies (they are made with ice so they are very refreshing & cooling.) The regular teas don't have ice and are more like a liquid drink, the smoothies with the ice are (in my opinion) better and more substantial. read more

As of today a no protein bowl here cost over $10 due to imitation crab sticks now being considered "protein". This is not displayed on the menu. In fact my roommate ordered right before me and ordered the exact same thing as I did and WAS NOT CHARGED EXTRA. When confronted about the extra charge added they claimed it was a new policy. After retrieving the manager who did not speak to me the employee maintained a rude attitude claiming they would not removed the "custom order" charge for adding crab sticks. I felt bad for the employees daughter who was being yelled at by her mother while trying to translate this interaction. I have been a customer here for the last 3 years and have never had an up charge. If an older asian woman is working I would highly recommend to not order with her. All other staff has been nothing been but amazing. read more

First time trying poke city in hammond and it was quite delicious! Parking is right in front, same at the outlet mall parking for stores. The building my empty when we went but food was done quickly and was steaming hot when we got home still! The SLU sushi burrito was very good, but it was a little greasy towards the ends of the burrito! The cream cheese made the burrito. The crawfish in the burrito was a bit fishy, so I pulled those out. The Cajun bowl wasn't what either one of expected. It was good, but cold, which was a shocker. It did taste super fresh and it was a nice switch up for dinner read more

I typically order here once a week, but after my experience today I will never be back. I went in to pick up my food. The girl who was working seemed to be very rude to the new employee she was training and also looked like she didnt want to be there herself. I got my order and noticed there were wrong ingredients in one bowl and missing ingredients in the other. I went back in and nicely let them know. The new employee was very apologetic and I let him know it was ok as I know what it's like to be new and mistakes happen. The female employee said she'd scrape off the unwanted ingredient and told the new employee to add the missing ingredients. I kindly asked the girl if they could remake them as it was hard to see if there was anything else was missing and I didn't want the taste of the unwanted ingredient in my bowl. She rudely told me no and and that I wouldn't taste it. She then proceeded to take my bowl to the back where I couldnt see what she was doing to it. When she returned I asked her once again if they could be remade and she rudely again said no. I then told her if she wouldn't remake them I wanted a refund and didn't want the bowls. She refused to refund me. I once again told her I didn't want them if the weren't remade . She ignored me and pushed the bowls to me and rudely told me have a nice day. I had to get refunded through door dash to get any resolve and needless to say I wasn't eating the bowls that she took to the back to "fix". To make things worse , the entire time this was going on she was being mean to the new employee who was continuing to apologize for making a mistake. read more

Paid extra for additional sauces that were not included with my order. No silverware/chopsticks were provided to eat with. My rating is primarily based on service. This was my second visit to this establishment and the second and last time I will be treated like a second class citizen (which NO one should ever have to feel like). The workers cannot speak English and treated me like I should speak their language. This is the United States of America, an English speaking country. If you can't speak English you don't need to be running/working in a business where you have to talk to customers. I paid for my food and the lady checking me out had to answer the phone before she handed me my bag. I had to ask the other worker if she would hand it to me. She got aggravated because I disturbed her game playing on her iPad. Really??? I then had to ask for my receipt which irritated both of them. Food was ok. Nothing good or bad to say about it. This review is solely based on the food. The fish was cut way too small to actually taste it when you're eating, and the amount of protein they scoop are also small. The scoop is smaller than an ice cream scoop. I've been to plenty of poke places and this is the first place to serve lettuce and not spring mix. I prefer the spring mix. The rice was a little hard. They put SO MUCH cucumbers in my bowl that I felt l was really eating a cucumber salad. This is my favorite poke bowl place in Hammond, I have tried most of them. I highly recommend the Poke City bowl! The fish taste fresh and you always get a good portion for the price. This business has really gone downhill. Use to always come here for lunches to go. Two days ago, ordered a poke bowel over the phone from an employee named Abby with brown rice and a SIDE of eel and white sauce. Got there 30 min later and they had 1-2 people ahead of me and my bowl was not ready. No big deal. So after waiting a few minutes for them to make it, I paid and walked out to my car to discover...no side sauces in the bag. So I went back in and said "there are no side sauces like I asked." I clearly restated what I ordered (the bowl with brown rice and SIDE sauces) when I got there for them to make. They apologized profusely again and actually gave me double the amount of side sauces. When I opened my bowl, I put one side each of the sauces on top and went to stir it all together to discover....they DRENCHED the bottom of the bowl with sauce already. By this time, the $14 bowl was ruined. It was literally soup. Not worth the money or the lack of unprofessionalism. Called the business immediately and asked to speak to a mgr/owner. Left the message with Abby....stating the issue. Two days later, no return call from the mgr/owner after stating she would have them call me. Decided to try this place. It's Sunday literally placed an order at 3:51 pm they said it would be ready in 15-20 min it is 4:50 and we were still standing there waiting on our carry out order. Once they gave us our food which was a shrimp and steak teriyaki bowl with fried rice. The shrimp had a hair in it and they gave us white rice. Save your money go somewhere else. Also they are barely putting any boba or ice in the boba drinks and they are very bland. I think perhaps it's the employees they have there, not the owners. read more

If you want a $10.95 bowl of rice, look no further....when this place first opened the portions were phenomenal. They weren't stingy at all and the place was always full of customers. Fast forward 7 months...and the place is a ghost town on a Lenten Friday where they serve seafood...The avocados (which happen to be an up-charge) were brown brown. If you wanted more than a table spoon of sea weed...that's another $1.00. The employees were very nice but seemed to be held at up-charge gunpoint by the owner at all times. Being born and raised in Hawaii, my expectations for poke bowls in Louisiana are pretty low, but this was highly disappointing. The spicy tuna was more like minced tuna rather than nice meaty chunks. The portion of protein was a joke. There are other poke places that give a lot more bang for your buck. Save your money and find a different place for poke. read more
