Solid food, tasty, and very friendly service. I am in the area a few times a year for work, and this a solid take out place.

Solid poke bowl spot. Flavors were on point. Order and service were fast & efficient. Price is on the higher side but I'm assuming that's normal for the area. I ate here while traveling for a work trip. It felt like a much healthier option than other food in the area, and it definitely hit the spot! I got double protein after seeing the first scoop. I would eat here again! read more

My favorite poke place for so many years. The owners are so kind and the food is unbeatable! Cannot recommend enough!!

I usually order takeout here with my family and it hits every time! Since we love it so much we actually hosted my nieces birthday here. It's a small space but since they're not busy for dine in usually, we were able to accommodate a medium sized party. Their donuts are also insanely good. Airy and sweet. Crispy on the outside. Soft on the inside. I usually get tempura shrimp bowl but got tofu this time and their rice is always the perfect texture and temperature (I don't like when it's too cold). read more

Very fresh fish and veg. Quality is A. Ordering experience is B-. Minus one star because of the bizarre practice of the guy (owner?) who makes the bowls: He wants you to simultaneously tell him what ingredients you want if you're ordering multiple bowls. But very fast. I'm getting 2 bowls but with very different ingredients. He's asking very fast "carrot/whatever in both?" It's very rushed and twice he has made mistakes: put spicy tuna in one when I wanted spicy salmon in the other. Slow down. Build one bowl at a time. It's always empty when I'm there and I don't understand this protocol at all. Particularly since he has made mistakes on the protein in bowling two of my orders. But again, the ingredients are very fresh and the cleanliness is also A. Ordering experience is a B-. But I don't go often because of the weird ordering experience. I hope he reconsiders how he wants people to order. read more

I am becoming a poke fan. I don't have a lot of experience at it, & sometimes I shy away from the raw fish (like this time). But a poke bowl is so healthy & full of so many great flavors. Poke Island won me over. The place was clean & inviting. And the gentleman that took my order was so kind & helpful in guiding me. I got a tempura shrimp salad bowl. I added veggies like cucumbers, cabbage, onions, carrots, edamame, corn, & cilantro. Plus I had some awesome shaved ginger, scallions, & pineapple. The sauce I chose is called Yummy Sauce. It pulled it all together but the sauce didn't seem to have any flavor. So next time I'll try a different sauce for sure. I added a Vietnamese Coffee to my lunch & now I'm perked up for the rest of the day. Like I said, I'm liking poke more & more. I guess I'm becoming a "Pokémon", lol. read more

SOOO delicious!!! Extremely kind worker there and so many options. Free ice cold water as well. I will be back for sure

This was my first time here. I've been wanting to try it for a while now, but I'm usually in the Plaza on Sundays, when they're closed. I got the Poke burrito with 2 proteins: spicy salmon & tempura shrimp. I added spicy mayo, eel sauce, edamame, carrots, cucumber, cream cheese, sesame seeds & crispy wontons. There was no additional charge for any of my toppings, but the easy-to-read menu informs you if anything you want to add comes with an additional fee, so there's no surprises. Every item looked and tasted extremely fresh & delicious! Inside there are several tables with condiments on them, and there is free iced lemon water near the entrance. Outside there are 2 small tables. The gentleman who helped me came to check on me several times, as I dined inside. He even offered to bring me extra sauces. I will definitely be back. Great experience, all around! read more

Bumping up to five stars since my original review over a year ago. Poké Island Plus is one of my go-to places, and favorite poké spot in Tampa. Reliability and consistency, fresh quality ingredients, friendly staff with great service inside or to go, plus allergy friendly. I switch hit the 2 Scoop protein and 3 Scoop protein bowls with slightly different toppings combinations. Depends on whether or not I can pick just two. Both are hefty portions for me so I'm getting leftovers either way. The leftovers fare well. I'm kind of addicted to spicy mayo, so I can't vouch for the other sauces. I'll probably try them someday though. They still don't serve gluten-free soy and/or tamari, so I use my own. I learned there is additional parking behind the plaza, which is clutch since the front is a busy takeout scene. read more

Poké Island Plus - 2 Create Your Own 2 Scoop Poke - Vietnamese Near Me - Oldsmar, Florida

Oldsmar, FL This is a Wonderful restaurant! Fabulous Poke selections that are always fresh, but also many delicious other Vietnamese dishes. Portions are so big and there's something for everyone. it's reasonably priced compared with other poke restaurants that don't offer additional menu. The owners and staff are always so sweet and accommodating and you can tell they love their restaurant. if I could afford it I would eat there everyday lol The place is small and cute, plenty of seating to eat in with tv on the wall. read more

10/10 best place for Poké! I have been a consistent customer for 5 years and their portions are good, friendly staff, and the food quality is excellent. I drive 25 minutes to come to this specific establishment because it really is the best around. (And I've tried a lot of them in the Clearwater/ Tampa/ Port Richey/ Tarpon area.) The atmosphere of the place is welcoming and they always have the TV on so you can enjoy if you're alone. Very clean. Never any issues- give it a try! read more

What a POKE BOWL! We have enjoyed Poke Island Plus since they opened and then when they temporarily suspended operation due to COVID last year we were so sad. But fear not! They are back and better than ever! The place is kept immaculate and feels so bright & cheery AND the staff matches that vibe. Every visit they thank you and are genuinely pleased to provide great service. The options for bowls are fantastic and every flavor is fresh. Next time I will take photos of the food. Yesterday I was starving and started eating right away. read more

I'll go for five stars for Poké Island Plus also. We really NEED Poké Bowls every couple of weeks, and my favorite place on Hwy 19 folded recently, so this was my first visit. Poké Island Plus is generous with their ingredients - nicely prepared and very fresh, lots of sauces to choose from (get advice regarding spiciness), but could add additional toppings. I'm used to ground cashews. I carried out last night, but the smallish restaurant is decorated cutely and appears very clean so I wouldn't hesitate to eat in and/or order other selections on their menu. The owner told me they've been in business for five years, and that speaks well for their location, food quality, and service, and I'll be back! read more

By far one of the best pho bowls and pokè bowls you can get in the Pinellas County area. Pokè Island Plus not only provides delicious food and drinks but their friendly hospitality definitely shines along with their outstanding customer service. I have only had the Poké and boba drinks here so this is my review on what I had. They do offer Viet cuisine, but I haven't had it yet. I really like the style and cleanliness of this establishment. I also like the friendliness of the staff. I think I usually pick great toppings so my poke bowls have been good. My biggest issues: - not many protein options - not many veggie and topping options - too many toppings are considered premium - to get everything you want in a bowl it gets close to $20 for 1 person - the boba is okay and so far the best I've had in the immediate area... I get the best Boba drinks in East Tampa - all the competition in the area for poke bowls have much more toppings and is less expensive - I don't like that the sauce is only a topping and they don't mix the poke with the sauce beforehand - no marinated ahí Due to price I won't be coming back very often because I have one closer to my house that has all the toppings that I want and aren't charging me a premium for them. Since my favorite Vietnamese restaurant isn't very far I don't for see myself ordering Viet food from here but who knows. If you're OK with only one crunchy topping available no seaweed, no mango and paying a premium for toppings then this place is for you. read more

Pho, yes. Crab bao buns, yes. Pork bao buns, yes. Poke bowl, yes. Tofu bao buns, hell yes. Everything we have tried from here has been outstanding. We've only ever ordered the take out so I can't comment on the vibe of the restaurant ect. But the food has never disappointed. Definitely recommend. read more

Great poke, but the extra cost for certain add ons get expensive. There are a couple things I've noticed as I eat my way around Tampa Bay's poke places. Usually there is an option of two or three protein scoops, this place gives the option for one as well. This place charges extra for masago and seaweed salad and doesn't offer krab salad as a topping. I love my masago, seaweed salad, and krab salad toppings, which is why I'll probably stick with Poke Falls. I thought maybe because they charge extra for those toppings their bowls are cheaper. Not the case, their two scoop is about fifty cents more expensive than Poke Falls. Other than the upcharges, this place is good! Unlike other poke places, it offers a variety of other foods. My husband will appreciate this, because he doesn't like raw fish. I also really liked the Yummy Sauce. It's like the white sauce you get at hibachi restaurants. It made my bowl taste creamy and a little more decadent. I got two scoops of salmon on a salad bowl with edamame, red onions, pineapple, crispy wonton, masago, and cilantro. I haven't met a poke bowl I dislike and this was no exception. If I'm going somewhere to eat with people who don't like poke and that's what I'm craving, I'd go here. Otherwise, I'm going places that don't charge for masago, seaweed salad, and krab salad. read more

Poké Island Plus - Build your own poke bowl - Vietnamese Near Me - Oldsmar, Florida

4.5 stars restaurant. Not yet 5 stars to my book. This restaurant has plus at back of the name. This mean they beyond just poke only. The restaurant also has the Vietnamese cuisine. So you can get poke and cook meal. I got best of both worlds. I start with mixed poke. I got the base as rice and protein as tuna. They are generous for one scoop of protein. This is why they have 5 stars. I got all the mixed in ingredients and topping that have have no up charge. The sauce are poke sauce, eel and special ask for sesame oil. It was really good for mixed in. I would pre them to do mixed in ingredients and protein separately than added into the base then add topping. But they don't have this procedure. They do put the sauce over base then on top of mixed in ingredients. This area they can improve. We also got the combination pho and grilled pork bun. Their Vietnamese side food also delicious. The grilled pork is well marinated and their pho is deep with herb smell. read more

Decided to get some poke as a hurricane preparation. The poke is delicious and now the storm is projected to miss so luck counts! I only ordered the free ingredients like carrots and cucumber and edamame but they are all fresh and tasty. I got the yummy sauce which is tasty! This portion will last me three meals for sure. The gyoza were steamed but not grilled so while tasty, they were not my favorite. Life is good with poke with yummy sauce! read more

A great fresh tasting poke bowl spot! I took a bike ride to Oldsmar from Carrollwood so I was really hungry but wanted something light so I could continue my bike ride back to carrollwood! I love me a poke bowl and so I was excited to try this place. I had the Poke salad bowl with 2 scoops of protein. With tip it came out to just under $15. Not excessively expensive but not cheap either. Poke salad Bowl- I created my own with fried chicken & spicy tuna. It was topped with all the free vegetables, all the free toppings except cream cheese and wasabi and it was topped with their original spice sauce and wasabi mayo sauce. The original spice sauce was reminiscent of kimchi with a spiciness to it. The wasabi mayo wasn't overpowered with wasabi and nor was it as thick as you would expect a mayo to be- which is what I like, a looser sauce! The fried chicken is prepared when ordered so you have a freshly fried chicken! As for the picture tuna, I wasn't the biggest fan because I don't like minced tuna. I like bigger chunks- like they had the spicy salmon in bigger chunks. You taste the freshness better! The bowl itself was pretty filling. 4/5 read more

Poké Island Plus is the third poké place that's opened up in near our house recently. Regardless, my fiancé and I wanted to try it to compare. The restaurant is located in the plaza with BWW. There is limited parking in the front, but an expansive lot behind the building. The inside is clean, with 2 TVs and lots of tables. You order and pay at the bar, then they bring your food out to your table. PIP offers custom poké bowls or sushirritos. They also have Vietnamese street food and boba tea on the menu. The pricing is fair for the poké; you pay per protein in your meal. I got 2 proteins in my sushirrito, plus 2 sauces, and a bunch of mix-ins. The ingredients are displayed in the work station and everything tasted fresh. The employees are all very nice and quick to work. The tables were all clean and the decor is bright and inviting. I had a great meal at Poké Island Plus. You can order ahead for fast takeout. I'll definitely be back to eat here again! read more

The poke bowl was a large portion and very flavorful. I particularly loved the shrimp tempura which were actually pretty large in size and cut up. Shrimp tempura is an option many poke spots do not carry so I was eager to try it and I love shrimp. Poke Island Plus has surf boards and pineapples on Grey walls with orange chairs to create a nice laid-back Hawaiian surfer vibe. It didn't take long to order and the sever was friendly. I look forward to trying more off their menu on another location. I've been here many times but I felt compelled to write a review tonight. I tried something new and it was FABULOUS!!!! I highly recommend the grilled chicken bun! I'm very picky with my chicken and this was cooked to perfection. The pickled carrots and daikon were crunchy and fresh. The noodles and sauce just bring it all together. It's light and healthy. Can't wait to come back again! Thanks for being so delicious, having great service and making customers feel welcomed! read more

Love the bao here, noodle salad is phenomenal as well and very crave worthy. Staff is friendly and very accommodating to extra requests.

This delicious little poké joint near the Hilton Garden Inn served up some incredible flavors for lunch today! Loved their build-your-own poké bowls (my friend did spicy salmon and avocado, while I had tempura shrimp and spicy tuna) with a yummy assortment of toppings, sauces and veggies to pile on to rice or salad greens. It was my first poké experiment and I left the table stuffed and pleased with all the offerings here. Sizable boba smoothie menu (tropical was excellent) is worth exploring, especially if you need to soothe your mouth after all the spicy sauces on your poké bowl! Enjoy, y'all! This is currently my go-to place for pho. The sliced beef pho is on point. The broth is flavorful and not laden with sodium. The portion sizes for noodles and toppings could be better, but all in all is the best I've had in the area. A little bit pricier ($1-$2 per item) than some other restaurants but, in my opinion worth it. Their sushi burritos are also really good. You are kind of the master of your own destiny here- you tell them exactly what you want on it. But all the ingredients have been of good quality each time we've visited. The bao are also shockingly good. The one think I recommend you AVOID on the menu are the boba drinks. They are made with syrups and not real fruit. I ordered a pineapple smoothie with boba and I couldn't drink it. Imagine a cup filled with pineapple snow cone flavoring and some mediocre boba at the bottom... not great. read more

Finally gave in and wanted to see what all the poke hype was about, years later I know . this is my first time trying a poke bowl and it did not disappoint. New business in the Oldsmar area, it's very clean with cute Hawaiian theme decor . I got the chicken with garden salad bowl . You can get unlimited vegetable toppings, I believe the avocado is extra. There is also a variety of sauces to choose from being I was on decisive they offered samples of a few sauces . I went with the yummy sauce. It was perfect for me, not too salty or sweet. The owners were there and that's the best service you can get. The side of shrimp chips was super fresh and delicious, iced Vietnamese coffee was also good not too strong as I like mines on the sweeter side . Excellent customer service , generous portions and fresh choices!! definitely will be back to try some of their other dishes. They are open seven days a week if you're looking for something healthy and fresh come give this new business a try . read more

This place just opened and it's absolutely delicious. The ingredients are extremely fresh, and their servings are plentiful. The owners are extremely friendly, and helpful. We've been there twice in less than a week it was so good. Instead of sushi rolls they make burritos... Great concept! If you aren't into sushi they have fried rice, bún as well as phó for entrees. They have plenty of starters to choose from like can rangoon, spring rolls, and a few others. They have a plethora of boba smoothies to choose from along with milk tea, Vietnamese coffee etc. This is a great little place that you'll go to more than once.... guaranteed! read more
