Dropped in Saturday for lunch at this family-run Vietnamese-Korean spot and left very happy. Warm welcome, super clean and a good size menu blending the best of both cuisines (even a few Thai options!). I asked the nice guy taking our order to pick between two dishes - he instantly said "Beef bibimbap!" and it was delicious: sizzling stone bowl, rice, tender bulgogi, colorful veggies, and that gooey egg. My husband got the loaded "Everything" banh mi on a crusty-yet-airy baguette, He also ordered the pork & shrimp summer rolls because he couldn't resist. Great decision - fresh, perfectly balanced rolls with generous homemade peanut sauce (actually enough of it!) and crushed peanuts on top. We're already planning our next visit.

Amazing service and food. Very clean and super friendly staff. We love it here and can't wait to come back!

Glad to see Saigon Cafe finally opened. I stopped in to check it out and the store front interior was fresh and inviting. I was initially going to stop in for a bahn mi sandwich but I wasn't too hungry so I decided to have an order of Vietnamese egg rolls and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both items were reasonably priced and the egg rolls came three to an order. They were crispy and tasty and the coffee was bold and refreshing. Service was attentive. I will definitely return to try a bahn mi when I have an appetite.

Ribeye Pho

Pho is delish... huge bowl with plenty of noodles and meat...I like the ribeye personally... the Banh mi sandwiches are so tasty and the bread is so fresh and crunchy.... The food is a little pricey but so worth it.... The staff are very nice and helpful... definitely check this place out!

Ordered oxtail pho. Two pieces of oxtail smaller than a mandarin orange. $17 for this bowl delivered. Are you kidding me?

This was their oxtail pho. Two pieces smaller than a cutie. Ordered for delivery... cost me $17 for this snack.

Holy moly! Can you say delicious?! Combo spring rolls, ribeye pho, beef bulgogi?! Yes please!! My only mistake was not asking for double beef in the pho. Flavor sensation!!! People, please post pictures so others can see how amazing their food is!!

The Deep End is on the 11th floor. Since it was super windy out, they had the high-tech premium screen windshields down, so you couldn't really see the exterior, including the water views and the Gulf. You can't really hear the wind noise either these were high tech sun windscreens. We have the Shishido peppers and they were absolutely delicious. Definitely a must get when you order anything at this place. My better half got the corn and it was OK. I wouldn't order that again. He also got a number of different drinks that I also would never order here, including the passion martini. I would just stick to the usual original drinks such as the bloody Mary, daiquiris. We both like this strawberry basil Collins drink. That was the highlight of the night that my better half and I both agree since we don't agree on much when it comes to food and drinks lol. I wish the drinks would have garnish in them such as mint leaves, slices of oranges, etc. They have french fries here that are thin, just like McDonald's fries and they're absolutely delicious. I will get these every time when I come here. I can't wait until it gets warmer out, and I would come here for a late lunch and just soak in the view

The restaurant wasn't very busy so we were surprised especially because the server started out seemingly great. Then the $56 lobster came out cold and in 2 hours of a 4 person dinner we were only able to get the servers attention to get 1 drink each. When we asked to speak with a manager she came out on the offense and was incredibly rude. I don't think I would go back to eat here, but I definitely suggest seeing the sunset on the rooftop! Also- The shishito peppers were delish!

I found the restaurant while I was still deciding on what hotel we were going to stay at and then just so happened to choose the Wyndham Grand (which was also amazing but that's a different story). I was very pleasantly surprised to see them hand us a discount card at check in which got us 10% off on our meal here - even better! I booked us an outdoor table at 5 pm hoping we'd have a perfect view of the sunset. And, well, the attached pictures speak for themselves! It was really gorgeous, beautiful atmosphere and our waiter was great. The meal started with some complimentary edamame which is always a plus. My girlfriend ordered the scallops which were so good, as well as an order of sashimi which is not my personal preference but she was visibly in heaven. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and two kamikaze rolls which were specifically recommended by our waiter (although to be honest I would've ordered it anyway - shrimp tempura and spicy lobster, it doesn't get better than that). No exaggeration, it was the best sushi roll I've ever had. If I go back, I'm just going to order three of them and call it a night. Long story short, I was optimistic about this place but didn't really know what to expect, and it managed to exceed all expectations. Very glad I chose this for our anniversary dinner, thanks for making it so special Ocean Hai!

The brussel sprouts appetizer is HUGE. It was double the size I have received at other places, so took some back to the hotel for leftovers. They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it. The filet steak was tender served over some mashed potatoes and thick asparagus wrapped in salty, yummy bacon. The smoky old fashioned and expresso martini (with Baileys added extra!) drinks were tasty. Make a reservation online and Uber/Lyft if you are close as it's easy in and out!

We ended up splitting the seafood pasta dish, and it was more than either of us could eat, even after splitting it. Service was good for dinner. Martini was good, but the blue cheese stuffed olives were prepackaged from a jar. Breakfast blew us away. Every dish we had was great. I don't think you can go wrong. Breakfast pizza was surprisingly great and enough for two people to split. Service at breakfast was fantastic. The coffee was always flowing and the servers were always smiling. The atmosphere and ambience are OK. I don't love the vibe, as it felt like a dated dining room experience. But Food was still great. If you are staying at the Opal Sands, the entire complex has amazing food and you don't even have to leave. Huge benefit to staying there.

The site says 7pm so we got back to our hotel and immediately drove to this place. It was around 6pm when we got there and the sign says food was sold out. We were heart broken and hungry. We sat in the car searching for another food spot when a man walked up to us (we thought it's the last customer coming out with to go food). We asked him if it's truly sold out, he said yes and handed us his food. We tried to turning him down, we didn't want to take his food. He was very insistent and then finally came out as the owner of the restaurant. He said, here have the food, we offered to pay but he couldn't take payments since his system has been closed. He even walked back inside the restaurant and gave us rice to go. We didn't get to see and taste all of their food, but the chicken adobo, humba, lumpia, pork sausage and monggo that he gave was delicious!! We went back to the hotel and gobbled the food. Now I know why the food was delicious, because the owner has a big heart. It reflects on the food that he serves. He definitely gained new loyal customer with his welcoming attitude. He didn't have to give us food, he could've just simply told us to come back the next day, but he didn't. Filipino hospitality was on full display through the owner. I will come back again to this restaurant whenever I visit St. Pete. Thank you so much for your kindness. I hope that karma blesses you back 10x more, you deserve high ratings for the food and your kindness.
