We noticed over the course of several years that the regular spider control service on our property was getting worse and worse. I complained once and they came out for a free spraying but then the rest of their services continued to be poor. I asked them to discontinue services but they still came out and charged me. Don't walk, run away! They trapped rodents under my house without enough food which sent theem into my vents and home!

Between the lack of follow through, the complete inability to find all entry points for rodents the first time, the fact that none of the staff seemed to want to write appropriate notes or read them I would not recommend them for services. They missed an entry point for vermin. They broke a vent for my HVAC in my crawl space, they never followed my requests to lock the gates or exterior doors behind them. This cost me more money out if my pocket than it should have as it prolonged service as well as the cost for my electricity from the damaged HVAC. read more

I have used their routine service calls for a number of years. They never disappoint. When you call you speak to a live person, always polite, and take care of any request. For the first time, I needed a visit in between my regularly scheduled quarterly visits. It was a couple days before Christmas when I called and they were here promptly the day after Christmas. Had this service for a few years and wish I never started with them. This is a list of ongoing below-par service that went on over a few years and I should have canceled sooner. Was hoping each issue was an anomaly but it became a pattern that wasn't worth continuing. 1. Increased the service fee but did not inform me beforehand. Customer should be notified BEFORE the service price is increased. I shouldn't learn of an increase when it shows up on my bill. I understand costs go up but give me a chance to cancel or decide if I want to continue the service before charging me more. 2. Scheduling service appointments but not providing a time. That's what crappy cable companies do. Give me a time range that's better than sometime between 9-5. I have a life outside of waiting for a service tech to show up over 8 hours. 3. Not showing on a day that was scheduled. When they did show on a different unscheduled day, they missed 80% of the service area (backyard) because the gates were locked. Why were they locked? Becasue no service was scheduled. Was charged the full rate of service, even though technician didn't do 80% of the yard. No call by technician to follow up and perform the rest of the service area. Poor communication overall. When I called they acted like it was my fault for having my gates locked. Hello, they wouldn't have been locked had I known someone was coming over that day. 4. Despite rarely ever servicing the interior of the house, was charged the same rate regardless. There should be different prices for interior and exterior service. Not one price regardless if I never use interior service. 5. When I had a rat problem, the techs repeatedly placed bait packages within the interior of my home, which caused decayed dead rats inside the home. You can imagine what that smells like. It's really poor practice to treat for rats and allow dead rats to die from poisoning within the interior of the home. It's not something I thought about at the time but since they are in the business, one would think they would communicate that this might occur, as opposed to rats dying outside the house. 6. When I paid $500 for specific rat baiting and removal of any live rats, no rats were trapped using this service. Spending $500 and catching zero rats is a bit expensive. No offer for service credit or any partial refund. 7. On the last service scheduling I received an email. When I responded to that email saying I was canceling the service, was told I had to call, couldn't cancel by email. That's BS. I felt like saying if you show up you won't be allowed on my property and if you charge my credit card I will dispute the charge. Was so frustrated with this company at this point I called and canceled, which they could and should have honored via email. They tried to apologize for all these issues but in the end they offered no credit, no refund, and really didn't make much effort to keep me as a customer. read more

Great job! I was impressed how thoroughly the technician inspected the house and went back around treating every sq inch of the outside of my home. He went around first and knocked down all cob webs then went around every window and door with spray and the eaves and foundation then he went around again then he hit the whole yard. First off, I have rats, and they've been chewing through parts of my house and I can hear them in the walls. There has been work but I've had to call out everything from the contract each visit as communication has been awful. Brett , their service guy that came out, should get should get 10/5 stars, as he found work that was done poorly and is going to be redone by him. He was even more thorough and listened to issues I've had for weeks. I communicated with Jeremy (the guy that sold me the plan) multiple times, still have not received any paperwork or emails as promised besides my initial estimate. I haven't seen before and after pictures as promised until Brett took me through everything and pointed it out. He even went through the attic more thoroughly and found where their nest is. The contract was written up and I asked before they came out to update it to what was actually discussed. Jeremy assured me it would all get taken care of. Come to find out later, if it wasn't in the contract, it wasn't going to get done without more charge. I was told that if they have to keep coming because they haven't done their job, then they will do what it takes to get them out and keep them out. I've had to baby sit the entire operation up until today because there has been no communication it seems and every time there is a new contractor that comes out. Brett told me he will try to assign himself to my house exclusively, I hope it can be so. I've paid $1500 and so far almost three weeks later we are still starting at square one. Beware the HIDDEN $95 cancellation fee!!! Pushy sales people will lie to you, hide information, try to scare you, and use every trick in the book to get your money!!! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING ELECTRONICALLY WHEN THEY COME DOOR-TO-DOOR!!! I had a sales rep come to my house today. She told me that my neighbors were signed up for Pointe Pest Services, and that because their house is "on an incredibly active anthill"- I NEED to get my house sprayed as a preventative measure. She said that all of the pests from my neighbor's house would come to my house. TOTALLY FREAKED ME OUT. I said okay, I guess they can spray my house and we made an appointment for the next day. She had me give her an electronic signature, and explained that I was simply signing to hold the reservation.... Well, THAT WAS A LIE! Later in the evening, I was going through my emails and noticed that there was an attachment linked to an email they'd sent me. I opened it and IT WAS A CONTRACT!!! The contract states that I had agreed to an entire YEAR of pest control and that if I canceled there would be a $95 cancellation fee!!! Honestly, I am shocked at how deceitful this sales person was! She literally told me and my husband that there was "no commitment" in regards to this appointment. She laughed that we could "fire them" any time we wanted. She did NOT explain that there was any kind of contract!!! I am going to call the company first thing tomorrow morning and make sure they do not charge me the $95 fee. I feel incredibly lied to and taken advantage of! *Will update this review when I get ahold of them tomorrow, and give an update on how it ***Update: I called the office first thing in the morning and spoke with a VERY nice lady who completely sympathized me with my concerns. She was incredibly helpful and supportive, and informed me that she would delete my household's "account" and with that delete any payment info that they had. Great for ant control. Completely useless for wasp control. Hopefully good for rodents... These guys have been awesome at dealing with ants at our house. We've had bad ant problems for years before I signed up for their service. And I'm keeping their service another year just so I don't have to deal with ants in the house. Totally worth it to me! However, a couple of months ago we resodded our back lawn. Last several weeks we've had hundreds of not thousands of wasps hovering all over the lawn. I called pointe pest control thinking they'd take care of the problem and their phone message lists wasps as something they help control. Well, they sent their guy out, he took a quick walk around the back yard and then told me there was nothing he could do about the wasps because he did not find a nest. This is a bit disappointing. I am paying for them to control pests at my house but now I am the one placing and dealing with wasp traps on my own at my additional expense. Isn't that what I'm paying the pest control company to do?!?! We also found out we have rats under the house and their crew is starting to work on that problem. Hopefully their rodent control service will be as good as their ant control service or at least MUCH better than their wasp control service. read more

Get your own TERMIDOR and spray yourself! At $360 a year, I actually expect not to see a spider. Have had them out 3 times in the last 2 months...and now the spiders are not only on the side of the house taking up residence on my husband's trailer, but are now getting comfy on my deck! Whatever they are spraying DOESN'T WORK. My grandfather, my father, my brother...all termite & pest guys. I grew up in it. I even got my termite AND pest license a few years back. Being that I work and I'm tired when I come home, figured I'd hire these folks. What a WASTE. Nevermind, I'll do it my damn self. Termidor for the win. $65 on Amazon gets me 24 gallons a 5 year shelf life...yeah, your "service" isn't worth the gauging you're charging! And please , don't bother with the "guarantee"...theyll come back out for free, spray more of their crap that doesn't work (probably just water in their little sprayers), but will not refund your money...and if you cancel the service...theyll charge you another $95 to cancel AND keep the $360 for the year that you agreed to in contract. Their only "money back guarantee" is by tgem coming back out to "re-treat" and won't charge you more money to walk around a spray they're useless crap again. read more

The sales guy was so pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. I told him my concern was the yard and the trees. He never once said they can't treat that. They only treat the perimeter of the house. So when they came out to treat it, I noticed they didn't spray the trees. So I ask and he says he can't treat that area. Now I have to pay $99 for that one time after they mislead me. They won't refund my money. I don't think I should pay for a service that was incomplete and very misleading. They also charge $95 cancellation fee and you must be in a year contract. They will only treat selected pests and not the usual ones to try to prevent it. They also charge extra for certain pests including carpenter ants.. I feel ripped off. This company is a scam. One of the worse Pest Control companies ever! First of all the guy going door to door. Yes you heard me right door to door, the salesman sold us on the fact that both my neighbors signed up therefor all the bugs would migrate to our home. Mind you after signing up and talking to my neighbors neither ones did actually render their services. So let's move on to the spraying. The first time the young gentleman came out it took him literally ten minutes and we had more Ants after they came! I've had to call them to constantly come out to respray. Plus their contact is basically signing over your first born. Then on top of that when we were out of town due to a emergency they TOLD us when THEY were coming out to spray next. I had to call twice just reconfirm I was not in town and did not want anyone on our property. I would rather pay the fee to break their horrendous contract then to have them come out again. Their product doesn't work and they'll try to find a way to squeeze out another payment after you cancel your service. They offer free service to come back in between the quarterly service, but it became a hassle and not worth the effort to call so often. What I wanted was for their product to work the way they claimed it would. I work for a living and my free time shouldn't be spent scheduling additional appointments. I entered into a one year contract with the door salesman and I honored the length of the contract plus some. After a year and some months, I called to cancel once I realized they were going to just keep showing up for quarterly treatments even after the agreed terms. It was never mentioned by the salesman. I thought I was finished with the company after canceling. 8 months after canceling, I get a voicemail saying they need payment for a service they recently did that I didn't schedule or approve. I assume they just sprayed my front door and left since I wasn't there to approve the service or let them in my house or backyard. After a few calls they told me my account wasn't actually canceled. Instead they placed me on a plan where they'll call me when a technician is close by and asking me to call back to schedule an appointment if I want service. I never called back to schedule. Should have been a done deal - don't come to my house. The technician DID come to my house and claims he got approval from someone at my house. Not possible since my wife and I were at work during the time stamp of the service. Hmm... Pointe, please don't respond trying to educate me about spiders and bugs. You've done 18 months of treatment. You can't tell me it takes 2 years to finally work. Long story long, I feel like they're out for your money, not to help. I was clear the first time that their service wasn't up to my expectations and doesn't meet what they claim. No big deal, let's just part ways. Now I'm here and it's been made abundantly clear that I want my entire profile deleted and to never receive another treatment or phone call from their company. Edit: Jacob makes a good point. I did forget to mention they did not end up charging me for the unscheduled, unapproved treatment of my front door after it was clear no one called them back to schedule and no one was at the house at the time to approve treatment. Thanks? My point is that the attempt was made. How many other times have they been successful with that tactic? It could be by design of the company or could be an integrity issue that needs to be addressed with that technician. We started off the visit with a miscommunication, what we thought was a 1 time visit for $130 turned out to be a 1 year contract including 5 visits, once for $130 and then 4 additional visits under contract for slightly less. That was not what we wanted and changed to a 1 time service visit for $175. The visit was to include removal of all cobwebs on house, shed and play structure, a dusting under the house, exterior pest control spray and removal of wasp nest in play structure. After the technician left I went out and noticed no cobwebs had been removed on the shed or the play structure and the wasp nest was also still present. I called and the technician was sent out the next day. My husband pointed out all the specific areas she had missed. Once she left we went out and checked, the wasp nest is gone but there are still lots of cob webs in the play house and on the shed. I called again and asked for a partial refund because we shouldn't need 3 trips for cobwebs, they wanted to give me a $20 discount off of my next service and when I told her I would not be using them again she even asked me "can I ask why?", which seems self explanatory to me. They agreed refund me $20 only after asking me to have a conversation with the technician, which I declined. read more

The estimator came here, did the inspection, said that the issue is difficult and he needs to return with his manager to recheck before offering me a solution. Don't sign up with this company. Their services are very expensive and lots of additional fees. I thought I was getting One service and removing wasps nests. It was expensive but needed to be done. The way misunderstandings are created is that they have a very nice charismatic sales person come to your door and lock you in a contract when you sign and agree to the service. That's not the technician or the same day that your service will be done. After they were finished the first time, I was told it was a year contract or the initial "discounted" service was actually about $100 more, (I don't remember exactly how much, it was a year ago). There's also no way to know if they are actually spraying unless you follow them around because we never got rid of spiders. I get it. Customer service is difficult & humans can be very annoying. And if it is too late and you already signed up for a year, do NOT let them auto bill to your bank account or debit card, whatever you do. They have hidden fees everywhere. Or should I say extra fee charges after the fact, depending on what you need done. I had similar experiences to the others who posted here regarding this business. The keyword is "misunderstanding" and a lot of them. The technicians who came out to spray were in a hurry and not very nice. 2 of the 5 services, I had technicians who were angry or in a bad mood, didn't want to answer any questions or spray the inside of the garage. One was wearing earphones and was visably annoyed when I tried to point out problem areas. What ever they were using was ineffective but safe for pets & kids (water?) and didn't kill anything. I was told to leave the spider webs. That's how they know where to spray. That's also how I know the spray wasn't working. We always had spiders alive in the same webs. One technician even told me since the spiders were here before these homes were built & they're less than 10 years old, that we will continue to see spiders even with pest control - "They were here first". So we have controlled spiders, instead of dead ones! Notice they are not called"exterminators" anymore? When I reported this, I was told that when they spray the outside, that the spiders will come inside. When I spray spiders with store bought do-it-yourself spray, they die. They offered to spray inside too, but because of a baby and cats we would have to stay somewhere else for a few days. The 5th & final service, a female technician came to the door & asked to come in. I was shocked. It was raining and she said she was here to pick up the rat bate stations (which by the way, were not in the house) & since I misunderstood why she was here, maybe she would throw in a final spraying. I told her I'd been complaining to the company that they never got rid of spiders & she said, "oh I have something stronger we can use". Why weren't they using the good stuff the entire 12 months? This was my 5th & final service. I confirmed & reconfirmed by text (see photos) & also a phone call which they replied back texts & with a voice mail and that we were paid in full. She thought we had more than 2 bate stations (anything to get more money out of your bank account). We were given 2 and charged for two. I said this was supposed to be a service call. She said as a favor to me, she would maybe throw in a final service? After a year of expensive, annoying & worthless service, they've continued billing & caused an overdraft. I had to call the bank to deny the charge. I learned a good lesson! Don't give out your debit card number & if you want something done right, do it yourself! read more
