After I posted this review, the maintenance guy either left or was let go, and two new people took over. The difference has been huge. Both pools are now consistently maintained, and the trash is no longer scattered. However, I faced a lot of resistance from property management after posting the review. When I applied for a cheaper unit, I was denied because of "my online review." I've since applied to other UDR properties, but my name is on the do-not-rent list. read more

Pointe at Northridge - Apartments Near Me - Salinas, California

My mother and I had our apartment inspected recently here at Northridge by Mark and Oscar from maintenance, I would just like to comment on how courteous, respectful and professional they were during the inspection. They answered all my questions and were helpful in giving me some information on how to prevent pests. Thank you both! read more

Mark was great and very professional. I had a few questions and he was quick to give me an answer. Thank you! Very satisfied.

This complex is getting out of control major road work tenant not notified. Came back from vacation and I cannot get to my Appartment my neighbor cannot get to work. The support on site is great by the management company leaves a lot to be desired! read more

Do yourself a favor and don't move here. Save your time and money and look into other properties. We reported cockroaches and got told multiple that someone would spray, they never did. Also be aware of your neighbors. They have their own version of Central Park Amy, we would have the cops called on us constantly to the point cops told us they wouldn't bother us because they knew she was falsely accusing people. The office refused to take sides because she would threaten them with a disability lawyer, even though we had videos of her clearly harassing us, the only good thing they did was let us break our lease. Even then! We were there for 3 months, 3 months and they kept most of our deposit due to needing to have the carpet replaced. This place is a joke. read more

I've lived there for a year in a downstairs apartment. The upstairs neighbors dog would pee on their balcony which ended up in my patio. As funny as it is, the dog peed on me and one of my guests. I told the neighbor myself she got mad so I had informed the apartment complex. They didn't want to do anything about it. So the whole year I didn't have a patio which was one of the reasons why I wanted to live there. There are kids everywhere that make a lot of noise, loud music, there were cockroaches when I first moved in and there is a serious mold problem. You will never ever speak to a person that works there. It's all done by text or email. You would be able to speak to an actual person when they get you to sign the lease but once your in, it will be very hard for your questions to be answer. When you finally get a text or email back from them the question still won't be answered. It's sad because the complex is nice. If you rent here you will pay for every utility you can think of including parking $50 bucks. There are cars everywhere! Your guest have to park a mile away just to visit you. One other thing going back to the dog pee... I was not the only resident with that problem. read more

0/10 do not recommend. Had been complaining of cockroaches for over 6 months and the problem never got fixed. Finally moved out and was told the "supposed" apartment that has the massive cockroach problem was going to be evicted. Either way, it is is completely unsanitary and inhumane having residents live with roaches and not take immediate action. read more

Worst leasing on site staff. We made an appointment to view and when we showed up, they weren't there. We waited 15minutes before leaving. I called three times after to talk to someone. When I finally got ahold of them, she stated she was in the office during those hours. Then added she was attending business at the complex and the other "manager" was at a meeting. So I asked to speak with her boss (the other manager) and she told me she was with the first girl. She was very rude and I think if you can't think of a simple note or even call to inform your appointment that something comes up and you guys wouldn't be there, YOU SHOULD FIND A NEW JOB. They seem shady and very unprofessional. I will never rent here, especially hearing about the roaches from others. Also the business the ladies were tending to was that the stairs are collapsing. read more

They made me applied online an I paid 600 plus more and now they wont even answer. I wouldn't recommend even applying in this place they wont help you at all. I've tried calling multiple times and they dont answer they only made me waste my time so don't even try applying because they only answer fast to tell you to apply read more

Save your money! Look elsewhere! New management will stick up for their staff TIME AND TIME AGAIN. They NEVER take fault in anything they do EVER! I had two faulty outlets that needed to be fixed in my apartment. They came in and I moved clear my sons (changing table) so that they can work behind it. When asked if they touched the changing table they lied and said they did not! They moved it back DAMAGED IT AND DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO TELL ME. Now with that being said I escalated it to corporate and they tell me unless I have it RECORDED that they damaged it or "hard evidence" they can't do anything about it? Are you serious???? Mind you my son hasn't even been born yet all the furniture in that room is BRAND NEW. It doesn't end there, my washer and dryer got replaced and the SAME TWO MEN WHO DAMAGED MY SONS CHANGING TABLE ALSO DAMAGED MY WASHER AND LEFT A DENT IN IT BY NOT BEING CAREFUL. Third I was promised by the maintenance manager JUAN again part of the TWO MEN WHO DAMAGED BOTH ITEMS STATED ABOVE that he would contact me and let me know WHEN HE CAN REPLACE a sink/counter top that was incredibly damaged by the tenants before us. NEVER received a call back until I had to physically reach out to the apartment manager "Christine" to help. In which of course she said they can't do anything about it. It's pretty sad that we pay so much money to live in a "gated community" and pay all these extra fees to be treated as liars and not fairly when it comes to being tenants. I've had to deal with my next door neighbors banging on our walls for over a YEAR. Again was told that they couldn't take our word for it and even though they had broken wall decor and we saved that for evidence (fell off our wall from the banging) I STILL HAD TO TAKE A VIDEO to prove that they were banging on our walls at ALL HOURS OF THE DAY. So, I'll say this UNLESS you have time to deal with the BULLSH*T this complex will put you through when something goes wrong don't waste your time. Management is HORRIBLE THE STAFF ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND CORPORATE IS A JOKE! read more

I don't understand how a property manager could allow people to move into this apartment complex. The quality of the apartment is horrible and way over priced. I can't wait to move out and hope people never have to live here. The apartment is getting mold from the lack of ventilation even when I have my windows open all day. My cloths is getting smelly and moldy from the lack of ventilation in the closet. And property management doesn't do anything about it. I I truly regret moving in. read more

If you are planning to move in check the appliances they are infested with roaches check the stove and the back of the fridge, I've been trying to have my stove replaced because it is infested when I moved in. They also seem not be able to keep track of time or I don't know because they never go by the hours that they have on their door. It is Monday and I have important mail coming and I'm waiting outside from 4:30 pm till 5:00 pm basically my lunch break from my work I spent it outside their door waiting for them, I also called and left a message but I bet you they won't return my call because they never do. Another issue is SECURITY. So many times I called they never answer, I leave messages I don't get reply or they don't even respond. Here you charge us for parking so when I come to park and there's another car there if I call security to have them tow the car that's in my spot what should I do if they don't answer or come. Should I block that car? Or should I park on the street? But why should I when I get charged for parking. Please respond to our phone calls, respect your own hours and be on time or leave a note at least so that we don't wait outside, PLEASE DONT IGNORE YOUR RESIDENTS read more

If we could give no stars we would! Talk about a infestation! Couple months after we moved in we started to notice these small roaches here and there. Thinking to ourselves we LITERALLY clean our house every single Sunday. We don't leave things on the floor, our kitchen is always spotless, as well as our bathroom what are we doing wrong? Little did we know these little bugs had a full on nest in our closet located by our front entrance! Talk about unhealthy and disgusting! That's not the only part! These little critters got into our stove and rest where our time is being displayed! Now that disgusting this is where we cook! Our advice to you.... go somewhere that does NOT have a infestation! This is simply disgusting! read more

I think this place is okay because in everywhere you go you to pay rent the rent here it is expensive and more than I'm a college student It's makes it hard for me but what I like about this place is that is a peaceful place. and what I don't like is that is expensive but I think that's everywhere is. Not the good but either the worst. read more

I cannot attest to the quality of the property itself, but I can tell anyone looking to rent here about the shady and unprofessional way their staff conducts business. I applied for an apartment and did not meet the income requirements so my application was denied. That itself was not the issue. The online system asks for your income but still lets you pay the application fee and $500 fee for the unit. I spoke with their staff numerous times and the income requirements were never disclosed. After my application was denied I assumed that I would just be refunded the $500 for the apartment that I would not be renting. I was wrong. I applied on a Thursday and heard nothing until Tuesday morning after I sent a nasty email to them. Apparently they have to send a check from corporate that takes 5-10 business days. As for contacting the office by phone, forget about it. They have an answering service that cuts in and takes messages for the office after you have been on hold for a few minutes so you don't tie up their lines. I called one day 19 times and left messages; they did not get a call until late the next afternoon. I have never spoken to someone directly when calling, it is always a hassle. This seems to be the case with all UDR Properties. Their customer service deserves an F read more

I filled out an application august 8th got denied they took my $250 deposit it is now the SEPTEMBER 27th and I still haven't got my money back I have to take them to small claims court to prove that they haven't returned my money they will hang up in your face give you the run around and you won't be able to get ahold of anybody even up at corporate unprofessional company and don't waste your time they dont care about anything but making money read more

I really enjoy living here. Office staff is very friendly. Property has two pools and a playground which my son enjoys. I also love their newly renovated gym! Do NOT move here! This place is disgusting! My apartment was infested with cockroaches for 3 months. No rent was reduced for it. Had to have apartment sprayed every week for almost 3 months to get rid of them. Had to throw out a ton of appliances like keurig because cockroaches were living in it. They steal your money from your deposit when you move out for ridiculous charges. I got charged for drip pans when I replaced them with brand new ones. Apartment was super loud with a lot of questionable people. Gates were always propped open. read more

move in was very easy, leasing office specialist yesenia is very helpful and kind. the environment feels safe, and family's who live here are very kept to themselves. this is a perfect location for a first time renter, or if you want to live in quiet and safety. the apartment units are very clean and nice on the inside as well. read more

I have been in the US for over 15 years, and this residence have earned 3rd place in my heart. It I right next to a High School and multiple shopping centers. It is very family oriented, and the management team of this property is very accommodating. When you ask for a repair in your unit they are there the same day or the following day if it is off hours. I bought a new big screen TV and wanted to mount it to wall. I went and talk to the general manager. The next morning he sent his maintenance manager take a look at what I had. The gentleman mounted the TV unit for me so I would put holes all over the wall (this would have caused me). The Assistant Manager Victoria always goes the extra miles. I love the Unit 58E on the second floor! It is a superb location to see fireworks on the 4th of July and start up of event at the coliseum. read more

As a first time renter, Yesenia really helped to calm my nerves about leasing a unit with this complex. She explained the ins and outs of everything, and is very responsive to emails. My unit was very clean upon moving in, and the surrounding tenants keep to themselves. I submitted a service request and it was done the next day. It wasn't a big deal and didn't have to be done right away, but I really appreciated their attention to the matter. The gated complex as a whole is fairly quiet, and I am happy that they have security at night patrolling the area. I recommend paying a little extra for reserved parking, as there are a ton of vehicles and street parking is a bit limited at the moment with construction happening across the street. You'll have peace of mind knowing you have a spot waiting for you. I'm really grateful for the attentiveness and friendliness of the leasing office, as lots of businesses here in Salinas are really lacking in the customer service department. read more

My experience at Pointe at Northridge Apartments has been a very pleasant one. The apartments are well maintained and the landscapers do a good job of keeping up with the grounds week to week. The part that makes living here more enjoyable is the staff in the front office and the maintenance workers. They are all extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Whenever I've needed help with a question or something to be fixed they make sure to answer quickly and thoroughly. Their maintenance worker Juan is very professional and polite and deserves a raise for all of the hard work he does. The residents that I've interacted with have all been nice and courteous of others living spaces. The dumpsters can get full a little quick but I'd definetly recommend living here as I've never had any issues. 5/5 stars. read more

Within 30 minutes of submitting a work order, Juan was at our apartment fixing the problem.

I currently live in these apartments . Moved in the end of October 2017. First of all, i would like to say that the staff treated us well on move in. It was a smooth move, no issues at all. We have had questions, and other small issues, and those few times we got a response really quick. One time our door wouldn't open because the lock got stuck... In a matter of minutes, we got a response, and in under I would say 15 minutes, our lock got switched out and we where in the apartment. That was very much appreciate it. There is a few things I really dislike about living here so far. I don't think it's most of the Apartments managements fault.... but, maybe things can be done differently? First of all would be the parking. You pay for your parking, but there has been times people have parked in my spot. If you have more then one vehicle.....then i would say this is not the place for you. It's super crowded, and there is absolutely no parking anywhere around for your second car. Even outside in the street is so crowded you have to park a block away. Second of all, there is people constantly blocking my way of parking. For example, they park in front of other cars that are parked, and there is basically no way to get into my parking spot. People park all over the "RED" curb line where they shouldn't park. People go in through the "Exit" and also go out Through the "Entrance" which they happen to get in the way... and this has been I would say an everyday thing. They told me there would be Security around, and I have yet to see one, being 3 months here. Too many ghetto people here, but for the most part.... I don't have to deal with these people other then the "leaving" and "entering" the apartments. That being said..... once inside my apartment...... it's pretty comfortable inside. It has a remodeled kitchen, and decent restroom. Surprisingly my neighbors are not too bad. It's fairly quite at night.. other then a few people at midnight playing music loud with bass. So in overall, I would say the management has been friendly and they have helped the times we had a question or needed something done. So we're good on that part... Basically the overall issue is the people living here, not management. I will review this place once again with an edit, at the end of my lease. read more

Braulio just finished fixing my mom's garbage disposal. He also went out of his way to fix her light fixture. Great job!

Maintenance braulio just left he fix my light fixture in the hallway I'm happy job well done thks

Ok so I used to be a resident and in the begining it was great quiet perfect location and well no worries for me and my daughter. But the staff is terrible. I will admit due to my pay period I recieved my paycheck 5 days after rent was due so I knew i would need to pay the late fee. The staff is rude and not very helpful anytime i was late they would only give me a notice for rent and not the full amount owed so by the end of the month I realized i was always behind. I tried calling emailing nothing. The office was always closed and they always gave me the run around every time I asked for a print out. I left 2 months before my lease was due with notice and now they are trying to say i was evicted. NEW STAFF AND THE PLACE WOULD BE GREAT BUT UDR HAS SHADY ASS PEOPLE who work for them. I hope when you rent from them you have someone else present just incase b/c they screwed alot of people over and half of the people i met left before and after i did. read more
