Pulled into Moab on our way to Overland Expo and our trailer was experiencing a hot hub. We did some quick looking and Point S had good reviews. We called and explained our situation and Collette Deeter was able to get a technician to look at the trailer within an hour. Mark was probably the best tech I've ever run across and took the time to fully explain how the brakes were misadjusted and that was what caused our hub to get so incredibly hot. I was able to watch from outside the shop since it was a trailer and fitting it inside the shop was a bit of a problem. He reset that, re-packed the bearings, put anti seize and torqued everything down perfectly all while being most engaging and telling me about the area and making recommendations for all of my questions. I left the area very confident in the problem being properly diagnosed and repaired in no time flat for a very reasonable price. Not good. Brought in overheating car to test for head gasket failure. They said it was actually the radiator. Picked up the car after a few days and it over heated before getting out of town. We were so impressed with this company and the ethics and the customer service and the professional service that they gave us. We got a couple of puncture holes in our brand new tires on our Polaris razor and wanted to go out on the trail the next day. We got there at 7:30 when they opened and they took us right in and fixed the holes with no problem at all. They did such a great job that we got to do two more very difficult trails with the same tire. We were from out of town, and they could've taken us for a ride as far as the money goes, but they only charged us $25! We are very impressed. The technician was absolutely fabulous and he really knew his stuff. Awesome shop! These guys were open Memorial Day weekend. A crappy shop in Colorado fixed our Suburban's exhaust leak with what the told us was a special gasket (the Tire Factory showed us it was 3 factory gaskets crammed in the hole) and the poor repair blew out here in Moab just as we were leaving town towing our 30' camper. Limped the truck into OTR Tire Factory and they got us in right away. Dawson immediately recognized what the other shop should have, that the flange was bent on our exhaust connection from my little off-road jaunt. They cut the exhaust system apart, pulled off the flange, heated it up and re shaped it, then lined everything back up and then welded the exhaust system back up. First class repair! Done right! Excellent friendly service. Our family's been traveling long distance and unfortunately sprung a leak in one of our rear tires. After limping to OTR the friendly staff was expertly able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution. We were originally expecting the worse and having to replace our entire tire but the staff at OTR was able to pinpoint the problem to the malfunctioning Schrader valve that shattered due to the below freezing temperatures. In the end they quickly replaced the valve and the problem was fixed in 10 minutes! Moreover they didn't require any payment for the fix but we insisted and tipped generously. Thanks OTR! read more

We're passing through Moab on a Southwest road trip coming from Texas. 350 miles from home and the tire went flat. We limped 5 miles back to Moab and into Point S store. The owner, Colby, is just the most helpful and calming person ever. Our tire was shredded due to uneven wear which we couldn't see, feel, or measure as the tires are wide and the car low to the ground. When the car was up on the rack, you could see that the other tires weren't long for this world either -- same uneven wear on the inside. Never again will I give this place my business. Bought four new tires because of a flat(whole in the sidewall) and they only had two in stock (which is fine) so I asked them to replace the flat and the next worse in shape. Long story short, they sent me on my without changing the flat. I got about 15 minutes down the highway and found myself fixing my flat on the side of the road. THEY SENT ME ON MY WAY WITH A HOLE IN MY SIDEWALL. Worse tire shop in town, do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere! read more

I am on a cross country road trip and needed a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. I looked up oil change and first I talked to Lube Express and they quoted me 86 bucks! God awful. Charged us $25 dollars to spray a can of fix-a-flat in our tire. When we brought the car back (because we could still hear air leaking rather rapidly) they made fun of us and literally accused us of being high and paranoid. We were in Moab at the beginning of a road trip from Chicago through the NPs of southern Utah when we experienced issues with our van which had died at 10pm in the back end of Arches NP. Took the van to Point S Tire & Auto early the next morning as we were supposed to head further into the interior of Utah that morning. Colby had a very full schedule but was able to fit me in and do a quick diagnostic. He addressed the primary issue and took the time to answer lots of additional questions from me which gave us the confidence to continue our trip (which went on without any issues).
