I understand in a place like Moab there could be a reason to charge higher prices, but the labor was right in line with what I pay back in Arizona. It was well worth it to pay that rather than do a sketchy repair ourselves in the Carquest parking lot

I did a search and Point S Tires came up, I gave them a call and Colby had me come in the first thing the following morning. I dropped the truck off at 7:30, even though they don't open until 8:00 and received a call from the shop at 10:30 telling me the truck was done. When I went to pick the truck up, I was pleasantly surprised by the total price. When I got back to my 5th wheel and reviewed the receipt I was concerned that the shop had only charged me for one rotor. I gave them a call to ensure that I had paid for the complete services rendered and the Lady on the phone pulled up my invoice and assured me that I had paid for everything. These guys were able to get me in within a few minutes and it was determined that I had a puncture. They were able to get it repaired within 15minutes or so. I was on a road trip from another state and it had snowed, so it was a relief. They were very nice and would definitely recommend them.

I called around and finally found Westauto Repair in Moab and they not only squeezed me in but the owner went above and beyond by dropping me off and picking me up from the Hotel while they installed the new parts in less than 2 hours! The Ford dealership said it would be a 3 1/2 to 4 hour job. So they fixed it in half the time and saved me several hundred dollars in labor charges! So as a previous shop owner, I thought long an hard about updating this review because of the…read morepossible impact on this business. But, I believe it is my duty to let people know what they are possibly facing if bringing their car in for a come back. Here is my story. A few months back I had some repair work done at this shop. It was to replace a egr pipe on the back of my sprinter engine. About 3 months later the same part broke again. Diagnosed by the mechanic I used in Portland. The cause? The middle bolts had not been attached by the previous mechanic. Because the bolts had been twisted off due to corrosion an some rust etc. Now, this is a regular occurence in auto repair. Bolts break all the time. But usually, when something like this happens, you present it to the customer. You give them the choice of finishing the job the short way, or the longer more complete way. None of these options were presented to me. The work was done cutting corners I didn't approve of, and in the long run, caused the failure of the part because it was not attached properly. Asking them about a warranty was an upward battle. Pro tip- if you ask about a warranty, and their answer is "depends, who is this?", You're about to head down a shitty road After they figured out who it was, a string of excuses rolled in - stuff like, "we don't know how you drive.", "You cancelled on an appointment once with us", "maybe that part was built to break" etc. The front end of their service is great when they're accepting your money. But standing by their work, you'll have to meet a tight rope standard before they will consider it.
