I went here on December 1st to rinse off the rental car before heading into Arches. I used the credit card reader which said $3 just to use the high pressure water and only used it for a minute or 2. I checked my credit card statement today and this car wash tried to sneak in a $15 charge on my credit card. Avoid this car wash!!! I used this car wash yesterday and then I looked at my car today and the brush left lots of little scratches on my car. I read online this is due to negligence of the car wash not keeping their brushes cleaned. They don't seem to care too much about that since this is a town that thrives off of tourists who are not staying long; so they get away with it, thus damaging peoples paint job. We came to get an oil change because we traveled across the country. They are super friendly and told us all about they recommend while we are in Moab. I sort of wish they would tell you their prices before they started but that is okay we didn't ask. The people who work here are really nice and very efficient. I got an oil change and fluids topped up for under $50. I think they had it all done in maybe 15-20 minutes. The owner is just the sweetest! She totally took care of us. Or I should say made sure we were taken care of. We arrived and weren't sure what to do or how the process went, no one really explained anything but eventually a guy came up and asked if it was for an oil change. We said yes and he had us pull forward, we chose to wait in the car which was kind of hot but we made conversation with the owner. The guy showed us our air filter (filthy!!!) and asked us if we wanted a new one, which we did, then gave us our change. $70 later we had an oil change and new air filter. I was away from home and past due for an oil change. Overall, they did a fantastic job. I was greeted immediately and shown where to take my car. The lady who took my information was professional and answered my questions. I knew from previous reviews that the prices were going to be high and they were. It was over $100 for an oil change on a Toyota Camry, and I did not have any additional services. That is double what I am used to paying. The staff was professional, courteous, and efficient. They completed the service within 10 minutes. I cannot dock them for pricing because they were upfront and honest. In summary, you are going to receive great service, but more than likely you are going to pay way more for the service than what you are accustomed to paying. I will not ever put myself in a situation again where I have to get an oil change in Moab. read more

Traveling and need an oil change in my new four winds 22e so after pulling it up on line looked good. Staff all very nice, quick and informative. The only reason I gave a 3 star review is because I was charged an extra $20 plus tax I assume for oversized charge. Sorry I don't understand the rv fit in the building with no concern of safety or anything as it is the smaller version. It is no difference underneath the unit and everything on top is under the hood. Next oil change I will drill down more on costs. read more

I had my oil changed for a trip and was not asked if I wanted them to look at the other fluid levels which they topped them off at considerable additional expense (which they did). I asked for full synthetic oil for the change and did not understand it amounted to an additional $50, In other words, I was not informed what the cost would be for the oil change, and additional cost for topping up fluids that were not low, before they actually did the work. Contrary to some reviews, they were NOT upfront regarding the cost, obviously because any prudent person would drive away upon hearing the cost. The $39.95 oil change costs $50 dollars additional to $89.95 if you ask for synthetic. You can buy 5 quarts retail of synthetic oil for $29 anywhere, less on sale. I filled my washer fluid before leaving home (54 miles away) yet somehow I was charged $3 to "fill" my window washer. My brake fluid was fine yet an additional $1.80 added charge My coolant was also within the Min-Max range on the overflow tank yet this amounted to an additional $10 charge. This business is a grifter/scam operation, meant to take advantage of people who are in a hurry and don't ask the cost; which any honest operation would quote BEFORE doing the work. Shame on me for not asking. I got home and examined the receipt and called them. The girl (definitely not a woman or adult) who answered was defensive from the start of our conversation (hint: they get this all the time). Not getting anywhere we asked for the mgr. SHE was the manager. We hung up. A few minutes later we received a call back from the owner, who sounded barely 25 yrs old. He would not give his name and we got nowhere with him, as he was defensive from the start. People such as these ought not be in any business, even a lemonade stand. I've been driving for 50 yrs. These people will not last, no one will return. They don't get it. Stay away, Jiffy Lube is a franchise and responsible to customer satisfaction. These jokers are not. $115 for an oil change. What a rip off. Ask for pricing up front, because I was NOT told the price up front. Price of oil retail is $28. They supposedly checked my fluids, which I happen to know were full, then told me they topped my fluids off and charged me an additional $16. The 'technicians' did not even say hello, and never once looked me in the eye. When my husband called afterward to complain, first the 'manager' and then the owner (who would not give us his name- so unprofessional) were defensive. Their responses had been rehearsed: they obviously have received similar phone calls time and again. Recommendation from a friend: go to Point S. The company, Thayn Enterprises Inc. d.b.a. Lube-It Express in Moab, Utah provided negligent auto servicing and made deliberate false statements to me. Based on their web page they were retained to perform a full oil change and lube on my car. I specifically requested that the completed job be personally inspected by the manager, Andy Card, to check for post-servicing oil leaks etc. since the next part of my trip involved back country off-road driving and an oil leak would be expensive and possibly dangerous. Card agreed and he provided assurances to me upon completion that his inspection was performed as agreed earlier. However the very next day - and hundreds of miles away - I accidentally discovered that there was in fact an engine area oil leak. Many hours of my time were required to locate in an unfamiliar city a qualified local firm to undertake problem diagnosis/repairs on an emergency/unscheduled basis. The professional firm I found/employed provided a written affidavit attesting to the negligent Lube-It Express/Thayn Enterprises Inc. servicing which was responsible for the leak. I then complained to the company - both Thayn and Card - in writing several times but they ignored my letters. Thayn finally responded to my third letter with a discussion of his experience with consumer scams(!) and made excessive demands for information regarding the incident. It became clear that Thayn was stonewalling and obstructing the complaint process apparently in the belief that a senior citizen, thousands of miles from home, could not afford to proceed and accordingly would drop his well justified complaint if Thayn made the complaint process sufficiently costly and onerous. I have tried for many months to resolve this problem but Thayn has refused to make a fair settlement offer for all the costs I have incurred due to his negligence. Thayn and his paid agents have engaged in ad hominem attacks and have employed other disreputable techniques to avoid his responsibilities. While the case is not yet being litigated I have concluded that Thayn has no intention to make a fair settlement offer and accordingly that formal complaints will be required to obtain just treatment. read more

The mechanic was talking to another customer, and I noticed on the board of prices that a synthetic oil change was over $80. Needed an oil change for our F-250 diesel while traveling near Moab and found this on the Maps app as the closest place. Called to see if they could do it that day they said yes. Took it in and got the oil change. After leaving, we noticed on the receipt that we were charged $3 for a 4x4, which our truck is not. Later, after we parked for awhile, we checked the dip stick and see that the oil level is below the add mark. Now we have to find oil to add before we can travel. We are not staying in Moab, so it is inconvenient for us to go back. Don't use this place. Ask someone for a better recommendation. They take advantage of tourists! read more
