Since this is the closest ferry terminal from where my Tita lived, we came here for a Vashon Island day trip. Before properly/officially entering the vicinity a staff will greeted you and checked the business you wanna do. From here, you can also purchase ticket to hop on the ferry. Per vehicle is $26.55 (include the driver) and pay $6 for the additional person with the driver. Price is cheap and the overall total already include hopping back to the mainland. It was a breeze hopping on the ferry and they got good service and protocols are properly implemented. This ferry terminal even has a park that while waiting to get board you can roam around the garden and they have bathroom in here too. Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow Juanderers.

Very efficient at 945am on a Saturday for the twenty minute ferry to Vashon. Clean efficient and quick. $25 for two seniors +1 and our car.

    Beautiful views

What a beautiful ride across the Puget Sound. Beautiful views and lots of choices to stand or sit.

Everything was smooth regarding the purchase, boarding, ~30 minute ride, and dismissal to the island. Ferry for our return to Seattle arrived after to island several minutes after it was supposed to have departed. Wasn't a big deal as a pedestrian with a free schedule, but folks with a tight fit might want to allow a little more cushion in their planning. Driving a car on the ferry seemed like it would be a different animal as they were backed up in the parking lanes waiting to load on both ends. Not sure if they were all accommodated or had to wait for the next ferry, but I don't believe they take reservations for such things.

I thought it was really interesting that you have the option to either stay in your car for the duration of the ride or head upstairs to enjoy the indoor seating areas and walk around the ferry. There was also food available for purchase, plus puzzles and other little activities to help pass the time. My absolute favorite part, though, was taking in the views. The Seattle skyline, Bainbridge island, and the ocean scenery were all beautiful to look at throughout the ride. The trip back was especially stunning since we caught it during sunset golden hour, which made everything even more picturesque!! Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience and a fun way to travel to and from Bainbridge Island! I would definitely do it again :)

Just listen to the drive into the correct aisle of cars. They have a system and you just need to pay attention. The ferry itself is clean and warm. I love going outside for the views. On this trip to I did not as the temperature had dropped a bit. So I stayed inside. The cost is not much as I have a small vehicle. Great way to get to Whidbey island. Do it! Go in adventures. SYOY!

This was my first time, I am from Oregon. Never encountered this service. Got to the island the long way, GPS led me to the ferry on the way back. By the time I figured out there is only one lane to the terminal, the safest thing I could do was cut in line. It was not on purpose. It would not have been safe making a U-turn. I still cut in line far away from the terminal. So I sat there waiting for a while too. I drive up to the booth and some rude female employee with long grey hair tells me someone reported me as cutting in line and I have to turn around and go to the back of the line. At that point, I asked her how do I avoid the ferry altogether? She literally rolled her eyes at me. Thanks for the attitude! Really encourages people to come back to your area and spend money. Oh and thanks to forever reported me, I love snitches. Maybe look at the license plate and see if someone is not local and maybe cut them some slack. As someone that lives in a tourist town myself I can vouch that we treat tourists in our town much better. Oh, and I was told by a shop owner in one of the towns that sometimes the wait time for the ferry is three hours and sometimes, they don't run all of a sudden because there are not enough workers to run them... Good to know. Definitely will keep that in mind when I'm deciding if I want to come back here and is it worth the long drive because I sure am not gonna be taking this ferry. Was a great couple of days, but the last memory leaves a bad taste...

For walk-ons, they recommend getting there at least 15 minutes in advance. For driving on, it is recommended to get there at least 30 minutes in advance. The ferry runs roughly every 50-60 minutes - the schedule is posted on their website. For us, we decided to drive. On the way to Bainbridge, the car price ($27.81) included the cost of the driver, but we had to pay an additional $11.69 for an adult passenger. The kids were free. On the way back to Seattle, we just had to pay the car price (return tickets are free). We spent well over 3 hours with the ferry due to getting there early to enter the queue, loading/unloading, a delay, and then the transit time on the Puget Sound. For the queue, cars are lined up in columns with employees directing traffic. Once we parked, we were free to explore the upper passenger levels. The ferry is massive, so there is plenty of seating inside and a good amount of railing space on the outside if you want an unobstructed view. In my opinion, of all the different scenic spots we tried to visit, this ride gave the best views of Seattle. Restrooms on board. Coolest sighting - if you watch the water, every now and then, you'll see an Egg Yolk Jellyfish. They're bright yellow and grow up to two feet in diameter. Is it worth it? I think if you have time to spare, it's something worth doing. Definitely avoid if you're in a rush. Brendan's Rating: 4.8 Charlotte's Rating: 4.0 Shanying's Rating: 3.0 Winston's Rating: 4.0

It's currently 2:39 and just got seated. Highly unprofessional. No communication at all -- announcement about a delay, the cause, when we can expect progress, apology, etc. Let's see when we actually depart. Apparently, just found out it's pretty common for it to be delayed by an hour. Then they should adjust their schedule accordingly. People make plans around schedules! We need transportation schedules to be relatively accurate. DEPARTURE 2:48. 38 minute delay.
