We sat in a beautiful spot and were able to watch a gorgeous sunset. It ends there. We arrived at 6:50 PM and didn't eat until 8:10 PM! It still doesn't end--the communication between the chef and waitresses was terrible because the gluten free chicken parmesan had no bread crumbs, was rubbery and the pasta was overcooked. The "wrap" ordered at the table was a pita bread! The Marsala had huge pieces of overcooked chicken, not medallions. When I spoke to the woman in charge she looked me up and down in a judgmental manner and then said, "ok, I will take the charge for the meal off the bill," with no offer of apology or ownership of the quality of service. My son and his family had to rush off after waiting until 8:25 for someone to come with the bill, on my insistence. My husband and I waited until 8:35 for a second waitress to finally come over and give us the bill. Though she was nice enough and apologetic, the parmesan cheese we asked for when the meal arrived was never delivered by the young man who went to get it. We were lost in the shuffle of the evening! It didn't appear to be that busy, either. As they say, "you're only as good as your last meal," and that was our last time going after tonight.

It was a balmy evening, and our party of six was pleased to see some cloud cover as we dined on the Point Breeze deck. Point Breeze offers beautiful views of Webster Lake, and a large deck with spacious seating. The views have typically been better than the food or service, often much better. But on this evening, Point Breeze execute quite well, satisfying five out of the six diners, with good food and very good service. Point Breeze was able guarantee an outside table reservation, something other dining establishments in the area were unable to accommodate. We ordered: * Point Breeze Platter $26.95 Whole Belly Clams, Haddock, Shrimp, Scallops, FF & Cole Slaw * Grilled Apple Trout $17.95 * Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad: $11.95 * Fried Calamari $14.45 * Fra Diavlo $20.95 Roasted Peppers & Onions in a Spicy Tomato Sauce We thought the Point Breeze Platter was very good, as was the Fried Calamari and Fra Diavlo. The diner wasn't happy with the trout, as she didn't care for the sauce. The Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad was good, but heavy handed on the dressing. Overall, this was one of the better dinners we've had here, and the view was lovely. A four-star dining experience on this evening. Note to management: The dish collection tray was fairly close to our table. Two waitresses quietly placed their used dishes in the bucket. The remaining staff tossed them in loudly. That was annoying, but could be an easy fix with some training!

They were able to make my drink, no issues and it tasted great. I ordered surf and turf. 6oz steak filet with scallops And a side of broccoli and it came with New England Clam Chowder. I had them make the soup to go. Otherwise I would not have been able to eat the main course. The downside was that they were out of lobster . It was the number one reason why I stopped in but the upside was that the steak and scallops were delicious. Not over or undercooked at all, which has happened at other restaurants. Wifi was great. Plenty of parking and busy, even on a Monday night. Received 4 stars only because they were out of lobster . I didn't even get a chance to check out the water views.

    Fritters And Chowder

Asked for a spot on the deck outside overlooking the lake and was added to waitlist. 15-20 minutes later we were seated on the deck which was worth the wait and is always the best part of eating at Point Breeze. I also counted five empty tables on the way out to ours. Giovanni provided great service. Very kind, considerate, and attentive. The food was mixed. I tried the New England clam chowder and three clam fritters which came with maple syrup. I thought the soup was thick and bland, the fritters lacked clams, and both were barely warm. I also tried the Maine steamers, maybe 2 dozen maybe a couple more, which was disappointing given the price which I think was 29.00. The clams came covered with tinfoil which I suspect was meant to keep them warm which unfortunately fell short. The clams had been sitting a while. The baked haddock and sweet potato fries were good but the fish seemed a bit under cooked to me. The view, and table service turned out to be the best part of lunch which I suspect continues to be the draw for so many customers.

I don't know where to begin, but here it goes. 1. Staff is rude and crass. 2. Broken umbrella outside. 3. My Alfredo was TASTELESS, chicken was dried out. 4. Partners lobster was so rubbery he couldn't even cut through it. 5. Clam fritters were hard and tasted burnt. Maybe change the cooking oil once in awhile??? I know there are few restaurants out here in Webster, but come on now, how is this place still in business?? For the price they charge, it could be at least edible ... Gordan Ramsey where are you!! Never coming back here. Some people need to be fired.

Haddock Your Way with lobster and cornbread stuffing. Not good.

The first thing that I noticed when walking in was the smell. It smelled of a string chemical cleaner (possibly Fabuloso) and something rotten. I could smell the cleaner the whole time I was eating, making me sick. I definitely do not want to smell chemicals that give me headaches while eating. The place is a bit run down and was very chilly. It was pretty empty and they seated our party of 7 quickly. We went in a Sunday. The waiter was great, but the food was not. The only thing I liked was the calamari, except they had it covered in juicy jalapeños, so I could only eat the ones on the side not touching. The clam chowder was incredibly thick and didn't have much taste. My "Haddock Your Way" with lobster and cornbread stuffing was not good. The lobster chucks were completely hard and the stuffing was grainy, almost like corn meal was in it. My daughter got the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, and after one bite, said it was horrible, especially the chicken. She didn't eat any of it, so we ended up driving home and getting her something there after. It's very sad what became of this place. I'm surprised it's still open. I did notice it was mostly older people there that I'm guessing have been frequents for a long time and just used to the routine. Do better, Point Breeze.

We met a family member halfway between where we live and where she lives and it turned out to be Webster, Massachusetts and so we selected the Point Breeze restaurant for lunch on a lazy Sunday during a long Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful location for a restaurant on Webster Lake. The point breeze platter is a combination of fried scallops, fried shrimp, a piece of fried white fish, french fries and coleslaw. This is a fairly standard fisherman's platter for New England and at $26 it was pretty good but didn't have enough fish. The tuna melt came with french fries and was very good with fresh tuna and a pickle. The chicken Caesar wrap was good though unremarkable as Caesar wraps go. It was a beautiful day and this was a great location but the food was not necessarily something you would drive an hour and 30 minutes to have.

Tried to get a shot of the ceiling piece... a large round stained glass piece. Spectacular.

Had lunch at Point Breeze with my husband today. We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait over a half hour to be seated elsewhere. The restaurant was busy but the bar had many openings which would hopefully mean the service would be good... but it just WASN'T. We waited well over 15 minutes to even receive a menu then longer to get a drink (there were 4 other couples seated and I counted 5 employees around the other end of the bar). Thy have a large menu with many different items. We ordered mussels for an appetizer and we split the Point Breeze Platter (clams, shrimp, scallops, fish and fries). We got a cup of chowder to split that came with the meal. The chowder came as 2 cups. It was delicious- thick like chowder should be. Next our meal came. No steamers. Disappointing but they took it off our bill. The seafood platter was really good. We were surprised that the clams were whole belly. The shrimp were jumbo, large scallops and the fish came nugget sized. The plate wasn't overpowered by too many fries (what we usually get). It was all delicious and the perfect size for the 2 of us. The downfall to this review is the service. Slow, lacking in care and all around disappointing. It is really why we won't be going back. Yes- the food was good but the service is what makes the experience worthwhile. I was being generous with 3 stars. My husband was very irked about the service. Yes, the person who took our orders fell all over herself apologizing, but she shouldn't have had to do that. Our 2nd round of drinks was handled by another person who was very helpful and he made us feel acknowledged (not like an afterthought). Side note: the atmosphere was very nice- a view of the lake, lots of nice decor; lots to look at. It was a bit buzzy noisewise, but was okay.

There wasn't many…read morereviews on the camping section of Indian ranch when we were looking so I thought writing one would be beneficial to others. We have a 40ft fifth wheel for reference. I wasn't able to make reservations online but after calling I was able to get a site for two nights to take my daughters to a show. There wasn't much info online about the campground, what it offers, and the rules and what not so we went into this pretty blind. I did ask on phone if it was full hookups, as that is important to us and they said all sites are full hookups up which is great! There is no "check in" time which was nice to not have to aim for a certain time but I did call and check and let them know an estimated arrival time. Upon arrival, they had a staff member on a golf cart waiting outside office and brought us to our site. He was very nice, friendly, and answered any questions I had while my husband was parking the camper. The sites are tight!!! That being said we have a large camper with slides on both sides. Thankfully no campers were on either side of us so it didn't take him long to get into the spot. Our site specifically was mixed with rocks and grass, was fine just slim. We did have some shade on the afternoon from the trees to the back of camper. There's a gas station with a subway and honey dew walking distance away which was nice to get a coffee at in the morning and grab anything I forgot to pack. This campground is mostly seasonal, I think the man said they had maybe 13? On rotation for weekenders. The campers that are there are very friendly, mostly older without kids but very nice and didn't seem to mind ours. Some campers seemed a little run down, but to each their own, there was a good mix. Seemed pretty quiet at night time and wasn't anyone overly loud. The next day we went to a show, it was really hot, like 90 degrees. They had a "cooling station" I didn't check it out but they did mention it. The pavilion is also right on the lake and a few kids went in the water cause it was really how in the sun. We did general admission as we've never been before and it's like bleachers on the sides and first come first serve. There's also an area in the way back that has picnic tables. The staff were nice down there as well. The slushy machines weren't freezing cause it was too hot, but that's 100% reasonable. Other than that we just got water. We tried the restaurant one night, it was ok. The bar was busy as they were having a boat cruise that night. The restaurant section was like 50% full. The chicken tenders were really good, burgers looked good and my kids like them. The view was pretty even with indoor seating. We made reservations and were sat promptly. Our server however was ehhh. Took about 10+ minutes to greet us and take order. After that food came out in reasonable time and was good. We maybe saw server once about checking on us but maybe she herself was busy? Check came out around $90 for two adults and three kids with no alcohol. Reasonable and fine, most staff were friendly, ours just seemed annoyed by us. We didn't check out the pool at all as we only stayed for a few days. The kids took a dip in the lake after the show when everyone left. We were the only ones down there. A family member who has friends seasonal there told me after the fact that we were supposed to use the beach? Unsure on this is it's true or not but staff saw us down there and didn't say anything to us and left us alone. There were picnic tables down there with umbrellas which were nice and at this time of the day there was a little breeze. Will attach photos of our site and the gas station across from us a few sites away. Some may not like that but we did. Overall I wouldn't book here for a weekend away but we would def book if we were going to another show at the venue. Never went to the bathrooms but the bathroom in restaurant was clean and nice.

The service was excellent. There were many staff walking around to either pass out hors d'oeuvres or clean up after us. I've never seen so many staff at a wedding venue doing this. This was over the top. For diner there were several rooms with 3 or 4 table each. We even had personalized menus with our names on them at our table. Never seen this. What a nice touch. The space is gorgeous, the vibe is elevated without being stuffy, and on most nights the service really shines. It's the kind of place you want to love. But our Easter brunch left me feeling more "hmm" than "wow." We opted for the 7‑course holiday tasting, which sounded festive and ambitious, but the execution didn't quite match the promise. Courses arrived beautifully plated, but several felt more conceptual than flavorful, and the pacing never fully found its rhythm. For the price point and the occasion, I was hoping for a bit more sparkle -- something that made the meal feel truly celebratory, as well as plentiful. The kids' options were another miss. While I appreciate that Anya aims for an elevated dining experience, the selections didn't feel particularly kid‑friendly. When you're trying to keep little ones happy through a long, multi‑course brunch, having approachable, familiar choices goes a long way. Here, the offerings felt more like scaled‑down adult dishes than something designed with kids in mind. That said, the staff was warm, the atmosphere was lovely, and there were moments where the meal hinted at what Anya does best. There's clearly talent in the kitchen and pride in the presentation -- it just didn't fully land this time. Overall, a beautiful spot with potential for a standout holiday experience, but our Easter brunch fell somewhere in the middle. Cheers

The shrimp were nicely cooked and very tasty and I thought the stuffing was delicious. My co-diner was less impressed with the stuffing, though overall I think this was a well executed dish. Unfortunately, the Crispy Duck a l 'Orange was anything but, the duck skin was soggy and the duck a little too rare. A rare miss, pardon the pun, for Anya's. I don't like to return a dish during dinner, as it disrupts the flow. So, I ate the duck which wasn't bad, but a premium price does infer the food is going to be properly prepared. After the tour you are free to roam the grounds and take photos, and there's also a small gift shop. Non-flash photography is allowed inside the house, but no video. Overall I found this to be a really beautiful historical spot in Woodstock, CT and would definitely recommend taking a tour!

My husband and I had our wedding here, the place was absolutely beautiful and that is the only…read morething that made the venue worth it. Laurie the women who handles Roseland cottage, on the other hand ended up being a bit difficult as our wedding got closer and closer. Sadly on the rehearsal day and wedding day she was rude and did things that we did not agree upon or said she wasn't going to do. She made herself seem understanding up until those days. She gave me sass remarks and honestly made the rehearsal day and wedding day more stressful. The only thing that made it worth it, like I said, was the beautiful venue. But Laurie in the end did make things feel way more stressful and difficult. Our catering was wonderful though, I could not have asked to better catering. They handled Laurie and everything else with class. Thank you renees Bistro.
