Especially once I got…read moremy driver's license as I really like the arcade as there are quite the variety of games. Plus, you can play mini golf or even take a ride in the bumper boats or race karts. Definitely a timeless classic for me, and why I prefer Golfland over Sunsplash. Though Sunsplash isn't my favorite, I've still enjoyed myself there as my previous company used to do a holiday splash party each summer. The rental spaces are great, though the catered food was nothing special (hamburgers and hot dogs). All in all, it was still a fun event and you can count on me being in the lazy river if visiting Sunsplash!

It's off season and the water park is only open for 5 hours. That's fine and dandy but let's talk…read moreabout this for a minute. It's $40/$41 if you buy a water part ticket before you visit. $41/42 if you buy the day of. That's really expensive for a water park only open for 5 hours AND only half of it being open. Only the Sunsplash part was open and all the slides weren't. All the Golfland side of the water park was closed. They should have off season prices. If you decide to take advantage of all the other activities AND the waterpark for the day they have a pass that's $50/$51 if you buy before the day you go and $51/52 if you buy the day of. That does indeed make it a lot more worth it but they still should have off season prices. And honestly... if the prices I saw WERE off season prices and they only go up, that is crazy. CRRRRAAAAAZZZZZYYYYYYYY. I swear when I was younger you used to be able to bring in your own food. I gotta think when Covid happened and they were closed for over an entire season that they hurt so bad they stopped letting people bring their own food in? Maybe it was before that. I had not been in so long, the last time I remember going for a full day was 7 years ago, not including when I worked a cannabis event 3 years ago and attended another cannabis event there 5 ? Years ago. Just referring to the water park. I also remember way back In the day there used to be a subway. And you can't enter from the water park entrance anymore unless you go to the castle to get a wristband first. So you can't pay at the ticket counter at the water park anymore. That looks long shut down? Maybe just for off season idk. The prices are crazy and you can't bring your own food in. What about people with dietary restrictions? They'd probably get a lot more business if they let people bring their own food in. But to spend so much money to go and then spend so much more to eat, especially in this economy probably discourages people from visiting. AZ diamondbacks chase stadium started letting people bring their own food in and sales skyrocketed. I'm sure if enough people complained they'd do something. The laser tag game was lame. My gun didn't work for crap. My husbands gun and vest didn't work at all so they spend half the 10 minute game trying to get something for him to work so the never turned the lights down or turned the music on and we just walked around with lights and silence. It seems as if this place has gone up in price and down in quality. They had money to make a new slide maybe thinking that would bring more people in but I'm not sure it's really going to. But have to up charge for everything and not allow food in because they don't make enough money because Covid happened?? Okay.. The memberships they have aren't bad tho honestly. If you live close, they could definitely be worth it. They offer you a monthly pass for $19/m which gives you a discount on a pass that grants access to the water park. If you decide to pay for that, after your first year of having the monthly pass, you get the water park pass for free the next year. But how they suck you in is if you cancel ever, you'd have to do it all over again. Along time ago the membership options were way better. My kiddo was grandfathered into the old program with the old price. (which is how I know) They also sucked those people in, if they ever cancel they can never get that price back. You can't find the membership options on the app, you have to use the website. All the employees are kids. Seems like a good place to get a first time job. There are 3 different golf courses, bumper cars and boats and race carts plus the arcade and laser tag. It was a fun day but there was a lot to say and improvement that this place could get. It's old and needs a little fine tuning. Not a new waterslide ha.

So I can only relate my experience here and let it stand for itself. This is a former junior high, turned into a recreation complex. The pool itself is really three pools--one is the kiddie section with a sloped beach entrance and a tower with buckets that fill up and dump out water sporadically. There's a small slide for the wee ones, in the shape of a frog. The kidlets slide down the frog's tongue and giggle and squeal. Then at the other end is the diving area. Two lower diving boards and a high dive. Not so high, but high enough that every so often a kid will get up there and wuss out. I've done it once as a 10-year-old, so no judgments from me. The other pool is the landing area for the waterslides. Two small ones--big enough that there are height restrictions, but not like a waterpark kind of slide. Just enough that the younguns will have something to break up the simple pool bobbing. There are a few lap swim lanes, and there are bleachers on the north side with shade, so I'm guessing there are probably swim meets here? Then you've got one big pavilion with cement and a large umbrella with grass. Pull your chairs in and hunker down. There's also a small area with tables for your snack needs. The facility is nice. The pool is nice. The bathrooms/changing rooms area little nappy--but that's their design. Concrete floor and a trough of dribbles and drips under the urinals. Other than that, the lobby serves its purpose and is indeed air conditioned.

I visited Great Wolf Lodge on 05/04/2026 from 11am to 7:30pm with my whole class for a fun field…read moretrip, and it ended up being such a great day. I hadn't been to this specific location before, but I've gone to the Garden Grove one many times. One thing I noticed right away was that this one felt a bit smaller--just a couple fewer slides and a little less space overall--but it didn't take away from the experience. We arrived around 10:45am, and my teacher grabbed our wristbands in about five minutes, which was awesome, especially since it seemed kind of busy. By 11, we had our stuff set down and headed into the indoor water park. The first thing I did was the white group raft slide (fits about 2-5 people), and it was such a fun way to kick off the day. Of course, I had to try the red group raft next too. After that, my friends and I spent a couple hours going between the wave pool and the lazy river, which never got old. By 1pm, we were ready for lunch. I brought my own food, but I couldn't resist getting dessert after--a double scoop of ice cream from the creamery (cookie dough and mint chip). It was honestly amazing and easily one of the best resort ice creams I've had. After lunch, we went back to the slides and lazy river again. Luckily, my mom had signed the permission slip for me to stay an extra six hours--best decision ever. Around 3:30pm, I started exploring more on my own and tried the solo slides. Just like the group ones, there were red and white versions, but flipped in terms of intensity. The white one was definitely more fun, and I loved the small drop right before the end. My absolute favorite, though, was the red group slide. It starts like a normal twisty slide, then slows down before dropping you a few feet and swinging you side to side--it had all of us laughing nonstop, especially when my friend accidentally bounced up in the air. Around 6:15pm, we grabbed dinner. I got two slices of pepperoni pizza, a Pepsi, and a cookie. The pizza was actually better than I expected, and the cookie--an Otis Spunkmeyer--was so good. Definitely something I'd get again. After eating, I relaxed in the hot tub around 6:45pm. It wasn't too hot, which I actually liked because super hot water can make me dizzy. We left at 7:30pm, and honestly, I was surprised how fast the day flew by. I thought I might get bored after a few hours, but I stayed entertained the entire time. I can definitely see myself coming back here with my family soon. Great Wolf Lodge is AWESOME!

Came to Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale for a family trip and there are certainly some great things,…read morebut also real drawbacks to coming here. Pros: you don't technically have to leave the premises, which is honestly a huge win with kids you can use Hilton Honors points to book the stay, which is a nice perk (although you don't earn points on the stay itself) they offer water diapers for the little ones, which makes things easier it's very clearly geared toward families and younger kids there are non water-based activities like story time, yoga, art, dance parties, and character appearances, and the app makes it easy to see the daily schedule the water park itself is clean and well staffed with lifeguards, which gave me some peace of mind check-in activities and the overall "camp" vibe are really exciting for kids right from the start make sure to grab the wolf ears at check-in, and ask about the photo op since the email about it may not actually come through Cons: food is not very healthy and also pretty overpriced for what it is kids get overstimulated quickly between the noise, crowds, and constant activity the water park doesn't open until 10 am and closes at 8 pm, which feels like a missed opportunity. earlier hours would make a big difference long lines for things like slides, food, and check-in during peak times rooms are very dark and they do not provide a night light the bunk beds look cute but the mattresses are thin and uncomfortable pillows were lumpy and not great for sleeping they really nickel and dime you for everything. ropes course, bowling, arcade, MagiQuest, etc all cost extra and it adds up fast the passes are basically necessary if your kids want to do multiple activities. we did the pup pass which included a build a bear (very basic, no clothing) and a few arcade games there are people on site trying to sell Hilton Grand Vacations packages, which felt intrusive and honestly a bit annoying during a family trip Bottom line: My daughter was so happy and still talks about her memories from this trip, which ultimately made it worth it. That said, it's not the most relaxing or cost-effective experience for parents. If I were to go again, I would bring my own food or do delivery, bring my own pillows, and skip the bunk beds even though they're cute. I'd also plan ahead for activities and probably just commit to a pass upfront to avoid the constant add-ons. It's one of those places that's magical for kids, but you definitely pay for that magic in more ways than one.

The overall stay here was stunningly beautiful, convenient and really Grand. The only issues I had were a few room related items which I bring up only as some constructive critique. Overall, it was all 5 stars. The program screen inside the spa/gym shows on but not logged in- with no instructions nearby on how to use it. (Front desk would need to assist, and they weren't easily available) seems like a waste of a service. Secondly, I found that the sheets on the bed are all flat- (they don't use fitted sheets- and it was troublesome as they didn't stay covering the mattress the whole night. Thankfully I asked for help and housekeeping doubled up on sheets for me. Lastly, I noticed some small rocks in my room upon check in. Needed vacuuming longer. Besides that everything felt very clean and tended too!
