Cute spot, my Dad and I came here to find dinner and stayed to gamble a bit. Did a little black jack and slots. I really wanted to play roulette, but only two tables were open and there was no standing room anywhere around those table tables.

    View from the room.

Generally a very nice experience. My fiancée and I enjoyed a stay at talking stick over the weekend. We really enjoyed the massage experience. The staff that the spa were nice enough to discount the price of the spa experience due to the steam room and jacuzzi being under construction and inoperable when I visited. The view from the spa patio is wonderful- highly recommend! We also enjoyed the pool at the resort. It is big enough for lots of people to enjoy without feeling overcrowded. I did find the hot tub appeared a bit dirty with lots of little leaves in the water. However, this is minor critique compared to the overall good experience. I would also say we were a bit lost when arriving to the hotel. We had to walk around a bit before we figured out where to go. It is my recommendation to improve signage when arriving from the 101 so hotel guests can figure out exactly where to go without driving around aimlessly. The room service was lightning fast, offsetting the somewhat expensive cost. The food was also delicious so I'm really not complaining... all things considered, it was a great stay!

Talking Stick Resort looks and feels like a proper destination casino -- clean, modern, stylish. The lobby shines, the restrooms are spotless, and the employees are genuinely wonderful. They greet you like you belong, which is more than I can say for plenty of other casinos. But let's not kid ourselves: the slots are tighter than an unopened pickle jar from 1975. A crisp $100 disappeared faster than a mirage in the Arizona desert. Play carefully here, because while there are plenty of ways to gamble and have a nice time, the machines aren't feeling generous. The resort sits on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land, opening in 2010 as a luxury replacement for Casino Arizona. The name "Talking Stick" comes from a traditional Pima tool used in tribal council meetings, passed from speaker to speaker so every voice could be heard. It's a reminder that this is more than just a casino -- it's tied to culture and history that goes deeper than the neon lights. Covered parking exists, but there isn't enough -- even with a handicapped placard you'll end up circling. Once you're inside, though, it's a comfortable space to escape the Arizona heat and roll the dice on your luck. Clean casino, clean bathrooms, dirty slots. House always wins -- and here, it doesn't even buy you dinner first. Talking Stick Resort is polished, professional, and historically significant, but if you're here for slots, bring caution (and maybe a backup wallet). Come for the vibe, the history, and the people -- just don't expect to leave richer than you arrived.

Resort pool area that can shift into nighttime concerts.

*Why did you stay at the Talking Stick it's sort of off the grid?* I stayed here 1.5 days for the Black Rodeo event. I'm more shocked with reading others reviews about their experiences as I want to return on my own terms. Perhaps because I was with the group my stay was five stars. *What type of room did you have?* I reserved a double bed room. Clean, modern and nice comfortable bed. Plentiful light with shudders that cannot black out. A small mini fridge, iron & board. Various types of outlets. *How was your stay?* I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Talking Stick Resort. The property beautifully blends luxury with culture, the Native American mini-museum inside the resort really stood out and gave the whole place a sense of history. *Tell me about the pools, that's why I'm at the resort.* The pools are stunning! There are two massive resort pools (concerts happen here, and you can enjoy the music from the water or your cabana), plus elevated west-side pools and reserved casitas with air-conditioned lounges and mineral pools. No matter your mood, family time, relaxing alone with a book, or laughing with friends, there's a perfect spot. I was there a short time and did them all, lol. *What was your casino experience?* The casino was a highlight for me, especially since it's non-smoking (with outdoor smoking areas). Plenty of slots, and the layout is big enough to explore but not overwhelming. I play keno, bingo, and slots. Though plentiful table games. Craps was popular. *How is the food?* Surprisingly good. I had a meal at 2:00 p.m., 3:00 a.m. and at 9:00 a.m. All at different eateries. Dining was good across the board, whether it was dinner at one of the restaurants or a quick bite at the café with great pastries. *What was the nightlife?* I was here for an event so of course it was lively with a bar and spacious enough for line dancing. Or lounging. Or bar sitting. Or hanging out. *What's the landscape beautification?* The grounds are beautiful, the amenities are well thought out, and I had so many moments I just wanted to capture in photos. OVERALL: A fantastic resort whether you're on a family trip, solo getaway, or reunion. Before I read the other reviews of her return in a heartbeat now I'm cautious. "Life is unpredictable fill it with beautiful moments." #thetalkingstickresort #scottsdalearizona

We like to stay here once in a while in Room 3348 to be specific, best corner room with the golf course/mountain view. The balconies are huge, rooms are good but they need to put a small chair in there not just a desk chair. Bathroom is great. Very quiet. Casino is always very busy but we had a very nice dinner up on the top floor at Orange Sky. Food and service were amazing! Best restaurant there. Check it out! Front desk staff on the other hand need to step it up, not friendly whatsoever and they told us our room wasn't ready and then we waited til almost 4 and went to check back and it was finally ready but no one let us know. We shouldn't have had to wait that long for it. Overall I would come back but only during the week nights.

I have been here a handful of times for the restaurant, casino, and just recently for the Country Down Under show. The show was delayed due to the previous running past schedule but they managed it well. Heavy security was present during the show and everyone had a great time. Seating was great and we had a good view. The show was a lot of fun.

Not a bad place to check out. Slots are ok. Huge poker room. Beer drafts are $9.00. The Tosh restaurant is pretty good. I liked my beef short ribs there. They have a nice patio there too. It's upstairs by players services where you get your players cards just up the stairs. The Cajun restaurant there is the bomb. I would definitely check that place out. The night we were there they had plumbing issues. Everyone had to walk an 1/8 of mile from the casino to the restrooms at the hotel. Massive chaos for sure. I decided to leave early that night. Overall a great experience.

Don't be like me and think the resort is near the amphitheater. This left my cousin and I in a bind to get to the concert quickly, and didn't get to enjoy what we thought would be a convenient stay. Outside of that snafu, I don't think the rooms are anything special for the price point we paid. We do not gamble, so I definitely say it might be better for those who do. Overall, an average stay and likely wouldn't return unless there truly was a nearby event where this resort was convenient.

I stayed here last year for my birthday and enjoyed myself for thr most part. Then came here for an after party after the rodeo. We ate dinner and I was so hungry that I forgot to snap a picture. The resort was clean. The casino was popping. They played really good music in the bar area.

This is an amazing resort. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This resort has a casino, multiple restaurants and pools, golf course and a gift shop. During my stay there were two concerts so the main pool was closed but I definitely enjoyed the west pool. The pool has a bar where you can purchase drinks and food. Resort was secure and elevators to the rooms have security to check keys at all times before you can access the elevators. There are free shuttles that will take you to nearby areas of the staff is available. The rooms are very clean and room service will clean everyday. The resort provides house shoes. You can also get $25 free play which can be used at the casino. The resort has a live band and dj on certain nights. The resort is very well kept and all the staff were great. This resort seems t be centrally located. Highly recommend

Alexa was our server and she killed it. So friendly, so quick with service, great recommendations. Bathrooms and amenities were clean. Good was surprisingly good at the pool. Service was amazing. If you're looking for somewhere to beat the Phoenix heat, this is the place.

The Scott is a very airy hotel. Its cabana vibes are very welcoming when you walk in. I stayed at…read morethe Scott for a retreat, which bought out the hotel for this event. This was a very beautiful hotel, but some areas need improvement. Walking in, you're greeted by staff, bellhops, and staff at the front desk. You can receive assistance to your hotel rooms with your bags, and it's helpful if you're on the 2nd floor since there aren't any elevators. You walk through a beautiful scene of outdoor booths, bonfires, and a pool oasis with palm trees. It's truly a beautiful scene morning, noon, and night. The rooms are also very pretty. We had two queens in a spacious room. While there isn't a dresser, there is a long table that doubles as an office desk. There is shelving in the closet, but that's not the worst condition. There was also a Nespresso coffee bar in our room. We didn't receive any complimentary bottles of water, so I wasn't sure what they expected us to use. I certainly wasn't going to pay for the glass bottles of water, as they charged quite a bit of money. We also found that we weren't always getting our Nespresso pods refilled, and if they did, it was with decaf coffee only. Weird because why would anyone only drink decaf? We had to constantly call to get our coffee station refilled as we prepped for the day. The rooms have a balcony with French doors. Ours was facing the street, but there's a wall separating the resort from the street, which added a nice bit of privacy. Unfortunatly I had to always keep the doors to the patio open when it was 40-50 F degrees because my room was always humid! I would like to preface that I went to The Scott Resort for a BOOK RETREAT. I ended up with some warped books, which I had to work on flattening when I got home. Sometimes I felt the carpets were moist due to the amount of humidity. I wasn't sure if the humidifier was on high, but it wasn't humid outside. The conference rooms were very spacious and nice. The hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I do think they charge a very high amount for food in the room service and the hotel bar. My friend paid $30 for a martini. The Scott was lovely to stay in, although there were some issues. Because of the humidity issue, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless that problem is solved.
