Conquer Ninja was well organized, professional, and such a fun experience for both the kiddos and the parents watching. The prices were reasonable, especially given that you get the whole place to yourself when you reserve a party. All you have to do is show up ready for some ninja warrior fun! Coach Matt and Coach Carly did an awesome job facilitating the group competition and encouraging the kids through different challenges. There also happens to be a small park, tennis & sand volleyball courts and plenty of orange groves. Unfortunately, the average visitor is discouraged from playing amongst the trees. My sons have both played in baseball tournaments at fields all over the valley. For some reason, neither had played at this facility in Mesa. In fact, I'd never heard of it before. The short history is this... It was built in 1984 and served as the Spring Training home of the Angels until 2006. I find it hard to believe that this tiny little complex was a major league ball team's pre-season home. However, it is an excellent little league park. Even if the fences are over 360 feet down the lines. And kudos to Mesa! You can tell right away that the folks in charge of maintenance know what they are doing! Pay attention here Gilbert! Are you listening Victory Lane? The field layout is traditional, but with only three diamonds, parking is exceptionally close. The grass is green and manicured. The backstop screens are green and appear new. I like that they discourage spectators from hanging out behind home plate. Fans are pushed further apart than normal, but so are the dugouts. And as an added bonus, there are extra bleachers that are close to first and third. That's right, each teams dugout is nearly past the corners of the infield. Check it out! It's a clever and very enjoyable layout for the parents and fans. The only downside is the really large amount of foul territory behind home. Better not let any wild pitches past! Gene Autry Sports Complex is a beautiful place to watch some baseball (and other stuff) and is worth the drive across town. It's easily one of my top two favorites, up there with Pioneer Park in Peoria. Mesa is clearly proud to have this facility. Can't wait to get back there again!

There is a waiting/viewing area downstairs and upstairs to watch the kids behind the glass. The walls and ceilings are lined with trophies and banners. You can see the big kids in the back doing all their spins on the un even bars, backflips on the mats and twirls on the high beam. Made me realize oh this is a legit gymnastics school.Lols I've spoken to the owner Kristin a few times and she's very nice, she is also one of the coaches for the classes. It's been almost two months and my 6 year old still loves her gymnastics class. Her coach Christina is great and supportive. The first 20ish min of class they do a lot of strengthening moves and stretching. Then they focus on techniques. The last 5 minutes they play a game on the trampoline. There is very little seating that is always taken up or so far away you cannot see your kid. There is an area upstairs that is now closed off I used to be able to watch the toddler class. The lower level never has seating. This is so unsafe, there is a million adults and kids and you cannot know who belongs to who. Any creeper could walk in no questions asked and walk out with a kid they told to keep quiet. Parents need to be able to view and watch their kids for safety. Something bad will happen and then change will occur and that is just sad.

It includes song time and a bit of outdoor play with bubbles if weather permits. I like having affordable, short term commitment classes like this for my son, esp during the summer. I really have zero complaints: registration is easy, it's affordable, it's nearby, it's entertainment for my little man.

Here's why: After moving to a different area we uprooted our girls from DB Gymnastics to a different competing gym. My girls now 7 & 5 yrs old couldn't even do a back handspring and little one couldn't even do a back walkover. The new competing gym had my girls doing these moves in less than 2 months proficiently for my oldest and 6 months for my little one. The new gym begins working on these moves at a much earlier age than DB gymnastics. I also noticed the difference in coaching between the two gyms. DB was good but obviously not nearly as hands-on as new gym. Overall, our family had a good experience with DB Gymnastics but after comparison my girls could've gotten a lot more out of it.

Since parents have to sit behind a window, we can help direct our kiddo. Either shorten the class sizes, have more "coaches" with the younger ones, or allow a parent-tot class where parents can help guide their kid.

I was invited to D-Bat by my niece as she's training for her upcoming college softball season…read more It's nice to see indoor batting cages are available as it's quite miserable outdoors to be hitting balls for an hour. The cage we used was in good shape- the floors, the netting, etc. The speed, the type of pitch and the pitch location are all able to be selected prior to entering the cage from a screen outside. The pitches were quite accurate to the settings we chose and almost every pitch was a strike, so you're not wasting your time with poor pitches. The downsides were limited, but included waiting about 3-5mins for the machines to rotate between baseballs and softballs. I also found it difficult to time up the pitches as the tubing to deliver the ball to the machine was short and not completely transparent, and once the ball hit those wheels it was halfway to me. Being a guest, I'm not sure what the membership rates are or what the price for individual sessions cost, but my niece said it's reasonable. Having hit in most of the batting cages in the East Valley, I'm trusting her input. Thanks D-Bat for a fun time
