FRAUDULENT- BUYER BEWARE! PODS did a Bait and Switch tactic on me. Quoted me for a job they did NOT finish, then called me only a few hours (8 hrs) before the drop off of the POD to tell me they could not deliver to my zip code when they had my delivery zip code from day one (at least two weeks in advance). Very deceitful. In comparison, U-Pack did not do that, they quoted me $500 less and told me they could not deliver to my zip code. I opted to use PODS because PODS told me they "could" deliver to my zip code 90293 and I also paid extra for the POD to be picked up on the same day. Very fraudulent company. Do not use PODS, beware. There are several complaints of customers saying the same thing. I spent hours on the phone with a couple of supervisors who could not help me at all. They took zero ownership for their mistake. They tie you in and once you are stuck with them and you have no other choice (because your POD container is with them/they have your belongings) they tell you it will cost an additional $699. plus tax for them to hire a different service company to deliver to your location. This is FRAUD!!!!!! BEWARE!! Do not use PODS. You are better off using U-Pack (they are honest) or even getting your own truck, a U-Haul. Do NOT use PODS! read more

They told us one time then forced us to reschedule to another day when they wanted to come earlier (and we weren't ready) forcing another month of payment since we would be one day past the grace period. I was divorced in 2016. I was already out of the home & the godforsaken Rio Grande Valley. My ex put my belongings into a pod. I am the sole payer on the account & have been since it was opened. However, because my ex was the person present when the items were put into storage, his name is on the account. At least 3 times a year for the last several years I have requested the name on account to be corrected & have been told they would do this & it is yet to happen. Interestingly, they still manage to take $155 a month out of MY account, and they manage to get that right. read more

I had such good service until they needed to actually deliver the units I needed for a house move that was planned to the last moment. They were the only supplier that let me down. it was all confirmed and on the day of the pod delivery they called me and said they couldn't deliver until the day after the movers were supposed to pack the pods. They tried to scramble when I objected strongly but I'd lost faith by then cancelled. What an expensive let down they proved to be. Will never use them again. Or attempt to use them again. read more

The customer service representatives were very nice. However, they were too pushy on booking the reservation. They are much more expense than other services even with a discount. I explained I wanted to call around first. They insisted if I don't book now I won't find a cheaper option. I was able to find different options and then it took a while on the phone to cancel the reservation. read more

We sought to make use of the military discount, which was a reason to consider this business. Their consistent mishandling of the registration process suggests a complete disregard for the military and veterans, as well as the general public. All representatives were pleasant, but ultimately either incompetent or dishonest. The first rep, Alex, quoted a great price with delivery and retrieval of a pod to the residence for a period of three months, with no penalty. Alex claimed the order was in the system for a Monday delivery, but payment would have to be through a supervisor that would call soon after. That call never came, so we called PODS again and this time, James, said there was no order placed in the system, so another order had to be placed and it would be for Tuesday. James even asked for measurements for where the POD would be delivered and positioned which were provided to him after going outside and measuring and forwarding his requested information. This call took just under two hours. Again, a great price was quoted and, again, a supervisor was supposed to call back. No one from PODS called back. We called a third time and spoke to Arnold, who told us that the order was not in the system and we went through the registration process again. Despite Arnold's seemingly sincere apologies for the incredible inconvenience this process caused, the very same scenario of the call from the phantom supervisor was again proposed. And again, nothing! Our final call was received by a woman whose name I forgot to write down, but who seemed to be in a higher position than Alex, James or Arnold. She also claimed that no order was submitted, despite having all of our contact information and apparent records of the previous calls. It appears that the initial operators who take calls can suggest or offer various discounts or savings, but all those discounts and savings are ignored by those who actually approve the proposals. The woman claimed to be sorry that we had wasted so much time talking to PODS representatives to no avail, but then disregarded the discounts and waived fees that Alex, James and Arnold had offered and provided an estimate that was greatly higher than any of the three. This is abhorrent and dishonest customer service with no accountability, communication or cooperation. This "company" deserves zero stars! read more

Got 2 pods. First one was good. Second delivery was a first gen POD with wood walls and base. The thing stunk. I waited a day to RAID the inside. I started sweeping and noticed all the mice feces. I asked for a swap which was a pain because they wanted to wait the following week because of logistics. I had a time crunch because I needed to move. They replaced it a couple of days later. I was originally charged 418.00 for that POD. They charged me 426.00 for the replacement but refunded me 422.50. They technically owe me $3.75 right? I've spend hours on the phone trying to get my money. Called many times and they keep brushing me away and insist that math is right. I do NOT care if it is a few dollars. They owe me money and I should get it. They still haven't refunded me and it has been 6 weeks from completing this order/move. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Initial delivery and pickup went well. Things started to go south when we scheduled a container visit at the pods warehouse. The website said the warehouse was open until 5. We arrived at 3:30 only to find out that apparently the warehouse closes at 3 and the website was not up to date. Then after scheduling drop of the container, we called to reschedule the POD to be dropped off at the new house a day sooner. The service agent took it upon themself to reschedule it to arrive a week sooner Instead. After trying to fix it online, the original date we had was no longer available. I have had to call costumer service to try and get issues resolved more times than I can count. This has not been smooth or easy. read more

Just because they are a well-known name does NOT mean they are reputable or reliable. The driver called 15 minutes before delivery, and I explained the driveway was clear and ready for delivery. 20 minutes later, we get a call from our neighbor.... they delivered the POD to THEIR HOUSE and NOT ours... The street number wasn't even remotely close. I called an hour later, driver is nowhere to be found. Everyone at PODs is saying "oh, it was a mix up/error/mistake," yet that's a pretty easy mistake to avoid by simply checking the number on the mailbox? Not to mention, the box smelled and was not metal as expected...we live in FL and it rains here often during this time of year. I asked them to remove the POD from my neighbor ASAP as this is unacceptable and to provide us with a POD that wasn't going to make all of our possessions smell and get damp from the rain. They said no problem however the new POD would not be able to be delivered until Saturday. That was no problem. The next day, my husband goes to our house, what do you know?! The stinky POD is there!!!! I call them again and explain I want a refund, and I want the POD gone IMMEDIATELY. They say "ma'am it was a misunderstanding, are you saying you DIDN'T want the POD dropped off at your neighbor's house?" Are you kidding me!? I was attempting to get a price quote from a representative online and this representative took down all my information about an upcoming move and then just hung up without any assistance after we had been online for close to an hour. This representative kept asking for the same information even thou I had repeated the details of my upcoming move several times and it was in writing as well, so all this representative had to do was read the information. Terrible customer service and scheduling. I scheduled all my pods to be delivered on a specific date so i could have movers on site. Pods missed their pickup of one of the containers but promised it would get delivered with all the others on time. When i followed up to double check this, turns out my 3rd pod is now going to arrive 4 days after. When i called they would not help and said their is nothing they could do and they would not get a manager on the line with me. They would not help make the situation right given i now had to hire a second set of movers due to their incompetence. The customer service agents have no idea what fits into a POD. ordered their largest POD and was surprised how small it was. you have to pack up because not very wide. it's very difficult to pack up when you have to stack items. 2 PODS didn't come close to holding a 2 bedroom house without a basement. had to give away a lot of furniture. Also have to pay for delivery back and forth. they only pick up / deliver one POD at a time so it took over 4 hours to get 2 PODS delivered because of the back and forth. had to dismantle furniture more than I thought in order to make space work. To respond to the manager - WE DID pack the unit correctly so your response is not valid. It was very, very time consuming to figure out how to stack and pack which I wasn't expecting. Every email they've sent about about when they'll be arriving or delivering has had mistakes in, requiring us to constantly call them to correct and get accurate information. Do not use Pods. Ever. Our container was dropped and half of our furniture was destroyed. Large heavy duty bookcases had their wood completely broken in half. Pods covered nothing, and told us it was due to improper packing. We had it packed incredibly well and fastened in every way possible. Read before using PODS. We just got our second POD. OUR PODS were A week LATE customer service was Terrible . We paid to move to another state had movers scheduled and after PODS confirmed our Delivery they sent another message that our pods will be a week later they deliver one and the next day the other one. We paid for movers to unload had to cancel because Pods were A week LATE. So we had to pay a cancellation fee and reschedule the Movers. We were at their miserable Mercy. The amount of stress and Life Inconvenience stress Is Truly not worth any amount of the 500 hundred dollars that they want to give. Cesar carefully maneuvered the new POD to have enough room on both sides of the driveway. Cesar was respectful, kind, and professional. My experience with POD was awful and I would never recommend someone to do business with them going forward. I relocated from Florida to Colorado and utilized POD services for a 16ft container. I booked my POD contract on 7/28/25 with the intent of the POD being dropped off 8/19/25. I did my part, paid my fees on time, POD was dropped off as agreed on 8/19 and picked up on 8/22/25 with no issues. When I signed my contract on 7/28, they said it would take them 10 days to get the POD to Colorado so to give extra time for unforeseen circumstances I scheduled drop off in Colorado for 9/6/25 giving them 16 days to get my POD to my home. As we moved to somewhere 2,000 miles away and completely away from everything we have ever known we planned around our POD delivery. I took a 3-week vacation from work and rented my AirBNBs all based around the POD delivery. On the evening of 9/5/25, I logged in and saw my POD was being delivered 9/6/25 between 7:15AM-10:15AM. I called into POD on 9/5/25 to confirm the scheduled delivery so we could check out of our AirBNB. We woke up the morning of 9/6 at 5AM, checked out of our AirBNB and headed over to our new home here in Colorado. At 7:10AM I got a new email that said the delivery had been rescheduled for 9/10/25!!! We had paid movers waiting at the house for the POD, we had NOTHING at our house for our kids to sleep on, eat on, sit on, NOTHING! I have special need children, one who requires oxygen support. All his additional medical equipment was in the POD and with no notification that the POD was delayed I was short the medical equipment he needed. I called POD and they advised me that the reason the POD was delayed because the truck carrying the POD broke down in Missouri. SO WHY DID THE POD TEAM GIVE ME A DELIVERY WINDOW WHEN THE POD WASN'T EVEN IN THE STATE THAT IT WAS BEING DELIVERED TO? With no notice, I had no option of extending my AirBNB or staying anywhere else. POD acted like it wasn't their problem, I was just supposed to accept it and adjust. Despite the employee guaranteeing me that the POD would be delivered on 9/6, not their problem. When I spoke to a supervisor they were going to hold my POD in Missouri until their truck was fixed instead of sending out another truck to pick up my POD and bring it to Colorado at the scheduled time. I had to request they send out another truck to pick up my POD!!!!! My family was forced to go out and pay extra money for beds, dishes, tv, etc. as well as I had to go to various doctors offices and hospitals trying to get the equipment my son needed since POD screwed my family so bad. I spoke to several supervisors all of whom said there was nothing they could do, it was entirely my problem that I had to deal with. I send my complaint and all of my receipts for POD to see that due to their negligence the amount of money I had to pay and listed all of my concerns. The dispute team reached back out saying sorry for your experience, let me refund $134 to you. The dispute team does not have direct numbers to contact and discuss your experience. I don't care about the money, the money isn't the issue here. You stranded my family with nothing and luckily we are blessed to have the extra money to get our kids what they needed, but many don't and this is not ok. You don't give a delivery window when the POD isn't even in the correct state, you don't set up a family to fail with having nothing with zero notification. I called on 9/8/25 to ensure my POD was moving, and the employee again guaranteed me the POD would arrive on 9/10/25. To make it even worse, I then on Tuesday 9/9 got a notification that my POD was moved to delivery to 9/13/25! I called in and guess what, the second truck carrying my POD broke down. One truck breaking down is an unforeseen circumstance, 2 is negligence. Clearly POD isn't maintaining or servicing their trucks as they should or their trucks wouldn't continue to break down. I again had to request another truck go pick up my POD. Again supervisor after supervisor, call after call, and its no one else's problem but mine, yet their employees use the word 'guarantee' like its candy. The dispute department treats you like you're a number and not a customer. Just someone they can say sorry to, here is $134 and click send. You aren't just moving people's couches or kitchen tables, these are people's lives. Luckily I was able to find all the medical equipment my son needed until the POD comes because if not he could be taken away into foster care until my home was deemed suitable, AGAIN POD THESE ARE PEOPLE AND FAMILIES NOT JUST STUFF! So I submit all my receipts, all my complaints to the dispute department about their operational and logistical issues. None of my concerns were addressed or explained in anyway and the dispute team wouldn't even review my receipts until they were in PDF format. They couldn't move my pod there, because it was out of the "service area"... probably out of the terminal where my pod was picked up initially. I would give 0 stars if I could. Where to start....... My fiancée and I recently bought a house that is 45 miles/50 minutes from our current house. She booked a pod for moving. It showed up on time and when it was reserved, we were told they would pick it up and deliver it to the new house within ~2 days after they pick it up. Kind of odd that it wasn't faster considering how close the new place is, but we were willing to do it. Booked the reservation for ~$500 understanding this timeframe. Cut to us scheduling the pickup. We had packed the pod already. My fiancee called and asked them to grab the pod and drop it off at the new house. The representative then told her that the pickup time could be when we originally wanted, but that the moving distance was NOW long distance and that the timeframe to move all our stuff to the new place after initial pickup was 7-10 DAYS. Pretty sure the houses didn't move farther away from each other. We went back and forth with the representative for about 30 minutes before I asked point blank "is there any way you can get it delivered in the original timeframe we agreed upon?". He told me no, and I told him to cancel the order. I then had to unload the pod told them to come pick it up empty. We then called them to get a refund as they completely changed the terms of our original agreement and they refused to pay us back. Worst moving experience I have ever experienced and I move around quite a bit. We wound up renting a U-Haul (for literally half the price and no 7-10 day waiting period). TLDR: Don't use Pods. Just don't. Horrible experience. Also, their pods leak water and they tore up our yard a ton when they came back and picked up the empty pod. As a member of the military community, I was referred to PODS as a recommended moving solution. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory. I am deeply disappointed that a company recommended to the military community has provided such a poor level of service and transparency. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to better serve your customers, especially those who have served our country. The problems started with miscommunication regarding the pod pickup. The representative suggested dropping off one pod at a time while picking up the full pod upon delivering a new empty one. However, this was not what transpired, despite our daily confirmations with PODS about the pickup date, all while knowing that our HOA would charge us for having a pod longer than five days. They delivered the new pod but showed no intention of collecting the initial one. This led to penalties from our HOA and restricted parking for our vehicles. On the day of our open house for the property we needed to sell, two pods were in the driveway, forcing us to cancel the event and leaving the house on the market for yet another week! I discovered that I needed to adjust the closing date of my home purchase after a supervisor mentioned there was a limited delivery schedule of only two days per week at my new location. To avoid incurring additional charges for extending into the following month, I insisted on the delivery date being five days before the end of the month. Consequently, I had to move my closing date earlier, which resulted in change fees. The lack of transparency and flexibility in your delivery schedule caused me considerable inconvenience and unexpected expenses. The overall rates charged by PODS were exorbitant, particularly given the issues I encountered. Even when informed that this was on the expensive side, I still opted for pods as I did not want to confront the reality that you get what you pay for. The lack of transparency in your pricing structure and hidden fees has left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. To make matters worse, your customer service representatives have been unresponsive and unhelpful in resolving these problems. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get a satisfactory resolution, to no avail. Every dispute was filed, yet the best that PODS could offer was an $84 refund. Oh my word! Pods is a great company so far. Our driver showed up early, and he is the Dude! Fernando can drive and manage this thing like butter. Like butter! I wanted him to land the pod in a regular parking spot, which has a big berm and it's difficult for cars to get over that and I'm telling you Fernando managed this thing thing like an absolute pro. He knows his dimensions, his equipment, his timing, his angles. It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen to have Fernando land that pod exactly where we needed it-to the inch! On top of it he's a really, really nice guy. And guess what, he was done in 15 minutes. So impressive! Now I don't have to worry and I can start my day early with the loading in the packing and whatnot. The pod is super clean. It looks like it's never even been used and also Fernando gave me a padlock which was really awesome as well. Thank you Pods and thank you Fernando, you guys are fantastic. I hope all your drivers are like Fernando. What a great experience. Five stars without a doubt, and I would give more if I could. Thanks again! read more

Nightmare experience- never ever again will I use this company. started off by not completing delivery for one of my PODS because the driver just decided to go home. After being strung along and told by rep the driver was enroute and to keep waiting - until after 9pm, after the warehouse had closed and they told me he had gone home. Had to pay extra to reschefule the movers that had been scheduled for the next day to load. Next was the broken app that did not allow me or the rep to schedule my containers to be delivered and removed - the rep had to put in a ticket to the backend to have them manually fix it which will take 3-5 business days - which will be well after my entire move is over!! Finally, the topper, the pickup from my old house was not completed in the scheduled day, with two containers left in my driveway blocking the garage On the day I turned over the keys to the new owner. On the scheduled day, I had to send photos of the PODS as the driver had lied and told the warehouse he had already picked up one of them, after again being strung out all day being told they were on their way. I was in the phone with the supervisor at 10:30pm who submitted a high priority request to have them picked up on the first pickup of the next abailable day, which is Monday since they don't work on Sundays. However, when calling them at 9am on Monday I found out that they have it "scheduled" for 1pm with the same driver dropping off to come back (instead of two drivers at same time), making it early evening to have them all removed from a property that is no longer mine from an owner who never gave them permission to be in his property, blocking access to his garage and the ability to move in. To make matters worse, their app shows all of my PODS as being at their warehouse (although two are most definitely sitting in the driveway). And I still am having problems trying to schedule the re-delivery and final pickup since their app doesn't work. Unbelievable service and complete disregard for the customer. NEVER again - and warning to others. Pay the extra and go with a reputable company. I sorely wished I had and will in the future. read more

I wish I had read the reviews first! Pods lied! They have terrible delivery and customer service. They told me their containers are "all steel" BUT the floor is made of warped plywood and the top is cracked plastic!! The delivery driver was smug and uncooperative. I asked to level the container, which seems like common sense. so he put blocks under ALL FOUR CORNERS(?!) leaving it slanted like the driveway. When I contacted "customer service" they said it is only a courtesy. Although I was told by all of the companies when I called it is part of the process. I need to figure out how to post pictures ! We knew we were storing our stuff for 6 months and unfortunately changed the promo code based on the feedback from their phone representative and now customer service says they won't change it back and it's costing us hundreds of dollars extra. Pods claims to be a resource through your move, yet if you use their recommended movers don't trust Pod's information as they must either get kick backs from movers they recommend or they just don't care. We went with Pack & Load services because Pod's endorsed them as "most experienced". They sent 2 movers that were not experienced. They had no idea how to pack a grandfather clock which we paid extra for in advance. Despite us being told it would take less than 3 hours to load a 16 foot pod, it took 7 hours. We had everything boxed except large furniture and the 5 fragile items we paid extra in advance for them to pack, one mover really did try but lack of experience slowed him down, the other mover stood around until directed as to what to do by the other mover. They know people can't just stop mid move so they can add hour after hour on. read more

This is the worst company I have ever used in my life. My husband, newborn and I have been sleeping on a blow up mattress in our new home for 9 days and we're just notified that our pod isn't coming for another 13 days. They cancelled our original drop off date because "they emailed us a form a day after they picked up our pod" they didn't call us once and the form has to do with what we have packed in our pod. That's something they were supposed to send prior to delivering the pod. The fact that they cancelled our order and still charged us without a phone call is absolutely insane. My husband was on the phone with their "supervisor" who was no help at all and transferred him to three different people to get our stuff rescheduled. It all started with my first phone call speaking with the representative and asking what I needed for my move. I told him how much stuff I had And he suggested the pod for me however, all the pods I have ever seen clearly would not be big enough to fit all my stuff. I told him I think I need another pod. He assured me that they fit a lot into one pod. But a few days before my move I ordered another pod to be delivered with the other one. The movers showed up and shook their heads and said who sent you these pods.? There is no way your stuff is going to fit , or your Your sofa Alone won't even fit into one of the pots. It's not long enough .long story short I had to leave my furniture behind except for my bed, I ordered a third pod and again they sent me a small one. Still, it did not fit all my things. I ordered a fourth pod and they said they did not have a driver to bring it to me so we would need to rent a U-Haul load my items in the truck drive it to the container storage and load the pod ourselves. And still leaving all my furniture and yard equipment and more behind. This was such a joke that cost me so much money. I will get sick to my stomach now anytime I see the word pods in someone's driveway as it made my move a nightmare. I was so upset I could not even speak on the phone with a representative When ordering the fourth pod so my sister, who is a customer service talked to them. I have no idea what they have done for me as far as taking money off as they should, but my sister said that the customer service people tried their hardest. I should've stuck with my first Choice in moving, which was pack rats. Perhaps it would've made my move a more pleasant one. read more

Working with the PODS company led to the worst moving experience of my life. Key issues: - Quotes are lies. They will quote you one price and charge you more, with no explanation. - Schedules are lies. They will promise one delivery date, and may delivery MUCH, MUCH later than promised without informing you or providing any updates. - Customer Service is nonexistent. If you reach out to their team, they will claim to be trying to work with you, but will not solve any Ops or Billing issues. They will magically find any error "not their fault". They may lie to du about durations for case resolution to. They promised us 7-10 business days, and took 60 business days to "resolve" Do not work with them. Do not listen to their bald-faced assurances that they care or will help you. They want your money and don't care about your experience one whittle. read more

This Company is the worst! TERRIBLE customer service. All these 1star reviews are true. They are screwing up our delivery days, there is no updates, no notice. We have been delayed 2x now. Billing is HORRIBLE no follow up. They have given me a "reference number" but nobody follows up then they just close your case. Stay on the phone then ask for a Supv and get hung up on. If you value customer service or somewhat decent service with a company look elsewhere. I wish I had. I really doubt they will make this right. I have NO confidence in this company. read more

Yes, it's trite, but I would give them a zero if I could. While I was initially impressed. I had two delivered, and the guy who dropped them off was amazing. It was a challenging driveway, uphill and not quite the 12ft width they require. Fast-forward to asking to get them back. I scheduled the return and kept them at the new house for seven days. Now, it's my soon-to-be ex-wife's house. None of it is mine, but I'm trying to help her--it was all my fault, after all :). However, my satisfaction was short-lived. Today, I received a message stating that my card had been declined for a monthly storage charge, which was quite confusing as I had already paid for the storage. I immediately called in and got on the phone with a call center celebrating a birthday in the background. I have already gone online and paid the $379 charge for storage. They are scheduled to pick it up one day after the initial month, but ok. I ASK IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE I OWE. SHE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING ELSE OWED. I CHECKED MY ONLINE ACCOUNT, AND IT SAYS ZERO. THIS IS AFTER I PAID $379, THAT I (STILL) HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOICED FOR. I must express my frustration - the return shipment, which my ex-wife had already arranged movers for, was abruptly cancelled by PODS. She is now unable to get a refund, and her lawyer has already been involved, which I will have to pay for. SO, PODS CANCELLED MY ORDER FOR NOT PAYING A FEE THEY NEVER BILLED ME FOR, THAT DOESN'T SHOW ON MY ONLINE ACCOUNT BALANCE, AND A REPRESENTATIVE ON THE PHONE TOLD ME I DIDN'T OWE THEM YET. Hi my name is Crystal White. I am the wife of a disabled veteran of the US Army. I was belittled to say the least and discriminated against by your staff because I simply called in to review an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my account as anyone would do. Your customer service rep rudely told me my pod would be rescheduled because I couldn't "AFFORD" the move. I have spent almost 10k with this company. To be disrespected not once but twice by representatives baffles me. I told the representative to not charge my card for the monthly storage, proceeded with questions,and was rudely hung up on and charged anyway. The calls are recorded right?? So please go listen to the disrespect from 6/12/2024 around 10:21 and today 6/14 at around noon. I was quoted $4900 so why the extra fees? $50 insurance here $49 insurance there. Those fees should have been included at the beginning not after I'm hung up on. Seems like someone wanted to cause hardship on my end. Congratulations this company has caused hardship.
