This office is horrible. I had a Dr. Craig Haggett as my PCP. Never met or even saw Dr. Podett. I was on pain medication and also was going to a pain clinic. At the beginning of every month on the 9th I had my pain medicine to get refilled. What a joke! Every month I would call in my prescription 48 hours in advance then the fun would begin. The pharmacy bless them tried very hard to help but they would contact the office and never get an answer. I would have to make call after call and trying to get someone in the office to return my call and assist me. October of the year (2025) was especially difficult. I had to leave for my Granddaughter's wedding on October 11. I did the usual call in my prescription and wait the 48 hours. Started calling on Thursday and leaving messages. Finally spoke to someone on Friday. Explained to them I really needed my prescription filled so I could head to the Wedding the following day. Like usual it was always like I was bothering them and they would just tell you they are working on it NO sense of urgency what so ever. Never got my prescription had to go to the wedding with no pain meds. They could have cared less!! The November once again I do things by the book as usual. Called in my prescription waited the 48 hours and then started calling. The pharmacy did the same thing. Talk to them Friday they said no Dr. in today. Maybe try tomorrow Saturday. Called Saturday and nothing. Finally called back Monday and they said they would call me back. 4:00 Monday afternoon they called me back and said I needed to have an office visit. I said yes I know I have an appointment scheduled for next week. I tried to explain to the person on the other end of the phone she just told me you need to go to a pain clinic. I said I do see a pain clinic Dr. I just had an appointment with him in September. My wife (retired nurse) asks to speak with them. This is where the person on the other end of the phone started getting snotty with my wife. Then she hung up on my wife. This office is completely unprofessional and lack knowledge and when I did everything I was supposed to do and she had nothing to stand on she hung up. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this office. read more

This is the most dismissive doctor I have ever been to. He was in the room for 3 minutes tops, told me everything was fine, and then walked out and told everyone he's going home. Now I have to spend more money to find a new doctor to actually help me. Avoid at all costs. read more

I have been going to Dr Podett for a few years now, and right away I have noticed he was tough, but, then I thought maybe he is just doing his job as my Primary doctor as I am diabetic. ( My former doctor at Adventist was nice, he listened to me and respected me) For all my appointments, it was the same, I ended up being very stressed and since I am shy, when I am being talked down to, I panic and cannot understand anything he is saying bec he lacks professionalism and just talk to me not as a patient but a child being scolded. He wanted me to come in my appointment with someone. I want to switch doctors but I was told getting a new Primary care doctor these days is tough. Last week I had an appointment, (my wife came with me, he is also my wife's doctor) and he ordered insulin monitor and got mad at me bec the monitor that I received was G7 and I had installed by my daughter who is an RN. When I saw Dr Podett at my appointment, as his usual he scolded me like a child and told me I am wasting his time. He says this a lot, wasting his time. My wife and I were both very stressed by this kind of treatment, we feel he is not rude, he is obnoxious , very unprofessional and he makes us feel like we do NOT speak English, well, we do and very well! My wife and I will never go back to Dr Paul Podett. read more

The first time I saw him I thought he was my answer to my prayers. But boy did he change his attitude. He all but yelled at me because I thought when he had something me test he wanted done.. The Dr that I use to go to would call and the clinic to refer me then they in turn called me to set up an appointment. But apparently he didn't do that... I was to call them. it went down hill from there.. He ask me how I got to my appointment and I told him I drove myself.. He came unglued.. He all but yelled at me that I wasn't to drive anymore and if I did and he will have my license pulled by the cops.. I still haven't figured out what my driveing had to do with an appointment I didn't make..Then while he was leaving the room he turned and said if I didn't have my daughter with me next time he would refuse to see me.. Man oh man I was so upset I could hardly see straight. I am 84 yrs old and I don't feel like I should be raked over the coals because I didn't how his rules.but seems he did.. Needless to say I will never be step foot in his office again. read more

When my wife tried to explain her medical predicament she was told " we are wasting time here". That was after less than 10 minutes in his office. Needless to say we never went back to that so-called "doctor". Please stay away. read more

Dr. Podett combines clear, data-driven diagnoses and long-term informed after-care with empathy and understanding. His holistic treatment has been effective for me and my family. He listens and cares. read more

Good, Simple, honest medicine. Dr has the bedside manner of a disinterested cab driver, but he knows his stuff and will talk with you about preventative care, the kinds of conversations my own Dr never bothered with. Plus! The clinic is open Saturdays! Update: Horrible experience with front desk staff. They released my personal information to an outside source, were combative over the phone when I was trying to sort out an rx that they had called in to the wrong pharmacy, outright rude about trying to get my records faxed to me, then had the audacity to charge me to send me my records. The stated charge? $30 to assemble them and then one dollar per page to have them faxed, took close to thirty days to have them sent to me after that... I liked the Dr, and would have continued with him if it weren't for the staff. read more

Beware. 1. A Doc who insists on prescribing a popular drug for one condition, but fails to consider the patient's other medical conditions which might contraindicate that drug, is committing malpractice. 2. When that Dr. refuses to discuss why the patient should take that drug despite contraindications, rationally, with the patient, makes that Dr. an intractable and potentially malfeasant, butcher; it is at that point, I start questioning if he really has a valid Dr. License. 3. Then, for the same Dr. to collaborate with office staff that had been rude, incompetent with records and paperwork, to "fire the patient" for refusing to blindly accept the prescription?! That just seems unethical, and endangering to patients. Imho, that's 3-strikes. read more

The front desk staff has always been professional and courteous, however, Dr. Podett is another story altogether. I have spinal Stenosis and have suffered with it for the past 15years. I had my pain medication stolen recently and I filed a police report to that effect; When I contacted Dr. Podett he accused me of being some sort of junkie, and I was told that he will no longer write prescriptions for someone who abuses pain medication and I was then lied to and told they cannot treat long term/chronic illness at their office and I was to find another MD. I will be seeking medical attention at a more competent office as well as filing a compliant against Mr. Podett. If you have a legitimate disability and are in need of trustworthy, caring physician do your self a favor and avoid this man like the plague ! read more

I don't know what these people giving bad reviews are talking about. I've been getting help from Mr. Podett for 15 years now, and I could not recommend him enough. I don't have problems often, but when I do, he treats me in a very professional manner. I never have to come back again with the same health problem, because he does superlative work. I am very happy to have Mr. Podett as my doctor. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Podett since at least 2004. I have nothing but good to say about him and his practice. I honestly don't understand the low scores he's received in these Yelp reviews. I have had some major life and health issues. He always took the time to listen, followup and give good advice. It may not have always been what I wanted to hear but it was always sound. I also like that he prefers holistic ways of healing rather than just a pill. If it's something that needs more attention than he can offer he will refer me to someone who can help. The docs he's referred me to I still see to this day. Literally Dr. Podett saved my life in 2008. Honestly I'm not sure I'd still be here if it wasn't for him seeing me or talking to me at a moments notice and sticking with me until I was healed. Forever grateful! read more

Dr. Podett has been my doctor for many years and has provided me excelled care and service. Would recommend him and the clinic!

This doctor had an attitude with me from the moment he walked through the door. I have had 2 appointments with this doctor so far and both times he was being very rude to me and then while I am literally walking on egg shells, biting my tongue ( I mean he doesn't really want to hear from me right? he knows everything and my talking would just be a hindrance from what I can tell.) he has to lay into me with a lecture on how I WAS BEING RUDE. What a joke. This doctor is a mechanic. He clearly is in it for the money. My first visit I left there thinking I was dyeing from 5 different causes. The labs com back and the doctor walks in the room gloating about the 1 test he may have gotten right. (That is still unconfirmed) After getting into it with him the 2nd time he decided to lecture I flat out said. "You have had a problem with me since you first laid eyes on me" he didn't deny it. I would not suggest this guy to anyone. Especially if you have mental health problems already. read more

Horrible doctor. AVOID THIS CLINIC. I was referred to Dr. Podett by another one of my specialists. He rushed me through my very first "meet and greet" appointment supposed to be 30 min- he was in and out in 10 min - asks questions but doesn't take the the time to listen or let you ask questions or concerns you may have. Prescribed me a medication without knowing my health history, that could have potential serious side effects for me. When I asked him about it at my second appointment which he was running 25 min behind he seemed very offended that I would question it. Also he couldn't remember why I was in for a follow up that he requested or that he had ordered an X-ray and blood work. When I reminded him the reason he said well I have a lot of patients. I was thinking - does he even review his patients charts before he attempts to treat them? Then went on to tell me that he was one of the few doctors who accept Medicaid - so I should be lucky to be there?? Outrageous. I told him that my being recently added to Medicaid should not effect the quality of care I receive by a doctor who has agreed to accept Medicaid. He promptly said well "it does" . So sad that someone who calls himself a doctor is completely prejudice to my being on Medicaid. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC unless you don't have a problem with being put down and bullied. I think it is time for this one to retire. He has lost the ability for care and compassion to patients. read more
