super fresh and really great for the price! will definitely be back :) got the pobu burrito

Favorite place to get food after payday while I was in college at UD. Sushi burritos and their bowls are around $11 which isn't bad for what you're getting. The food is amazing and the best sushi burritos I've gotten from any place. The staff is courteous, the restaurant itself has a really relaxed vibe, and I recommend it to everyone. All of my friends would fall in love with this place. If I wasn't getting a bowl, I'd always get a tokyo moe tempura style. I know that when I come back to UD, I'm stopping by here again. read more

Delicious! I had the build your own poke bowl with brown rice, ahi tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado, mango, seawood, cucumber, masago, daikon, and crunchy fried crab on top. Highly recommend the sauce combo of sriracha aioli and teriyaki! I like that you can have as many toppings as you want. Will definitely be back! read more

I would post a picture of my food but I can't because it's gone. So delicious and super friendly staff!! I got the Holy Crab- highly recommend! read more

Prices were very reasonable, Poke bowl was amazing. Fresh ingredients and a great variety of them. Owners/staff are super friendly. I'd say it's better than Poke Bros. Looking forward to many more visits. read more

This is my new Main Street go to for a quick healthy dinner. The fish is fresh and delicious and they have a great selection of add-ins. I recommend teriyaki sauce with a little spicy mayo! The bowls are fairly priced and the staff is super friendly. PoBu is a great addition to Main Street, glad to see a little variety! read more

Couldn't take photo because I already finished them. Highly highly recommend !!! Poke was as good as (maybe better) than what I had in California. read more

I had the Harajuku Bowl which is one of their Signature Poke Bowl series. It was very well done, tasty, and filling. When I arrived, there were only two other people in the place, so service was instantaneous. The place is clean and the staff are efficient and as friendly as you would expect for serving a complete stranger. The only thing that kept me from giving this shop a 5th star was price. While in Philadelphia a similar Poke Bowl goes for $11.95 + tax, here in Newark, the bowl was $12 (we don't have sales tax). Now, I know we are near Philly, but this is not Philly. Also, we don't have any other Poke places on Main Street, so being an exception allows them to pick the price. However, a drop of $1 or so wouldn't kill them. All in all, a great choice for super yummy lunch. read more

The sushi burrito tempura Tokyo Moe's is one of the best things that has ever been in my mouth. Quick service, friendly staff, excellent food. read more

PoBu - Sushi burrito tempura Tokyo Moe's - Sushi Bars Near Me - Newark, Delaware

The rice was so undercooked that the poke' bowl was very difficult to eat. Crunchy rice is not easy on the jaw. I liked that I could pick my own toppings but the way they mashed up the raw tuna and salmon; it looked so unappetizing. I ended up ordering the the crab and tuna because I could recognize them. All and all I regret not going to POKE BROS across the street. Never again. read more

This was the first place I'd ever experienced the wonderful innovation that is a sushi burrito. My life was forever changed for the better. I'm hooked on sushi burritos and poke bowls now! This is a great place to get them. The staff here is very friendly and so kind. They have a great selection, and its all high quality and fresh. If you're looking for something quick, healthy, and filling you'll definitely find it at Pobu. read more

I had the make your own poke bowl, and this fish was high quality, I had salmon and tuna. My biggest problem with it, was that the portion was too small to justify the price point. In similar establishments it seems you just get more bang for your buck. read more

Over the past few years I've become a regular at pobu and after moving away have been disappointed that I can't find a poke place near me that compares to Pobu! Pobu has the highest quality ingredients of any sushi place in the Newark/UD area, and the prices are reasonable for what you get as long as you eat fish (if you're a vegetarian you'll still enjoy the meal but it's not the same options). Love the make your own option too! It's a small place so they normally don't have many people on staff at once, but definitely still worth the trip! read more

Love love love their sushi burrito!!!! The food is fresh and the service is fast. I have tried different places before and I was not impressed but this place is amazing. My go to burrito is the Holy Crab. Try it!!! You won't regret it!!! read more

Amazing sushi burritos! Definitely create your own and make sure to get the soft shell crab.

I loved it. The menu seems small at a glance, but you can customize your meal, too. So far, visited twice and both times had standard rice bowl with tuna and salmon. So delicious, not sure when I will change my order.... Place seems clean, few tables. It's small and unassuming, but nice. read more

Moving to Delaware, because PoBu changed my life! The staff is the best! Great environment. Just overall amazing!

Came in a few days ago for the first time and unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience. The fish had a very foul smell to it and I could only manage a few bites before feeling uneasy. I'm a big fan of poke bros and had high hopes for this restaurant after hearing great things, but I don't know if I'll be coming back anytime soon. read more

Best service around in Newark and way better than Poke Bro's. I always create my own bowl and the fish that they use is as fresh as possible. If you're feeling adventurous then the soft shell crab is a solid bet as one of the wide varieties of protein that they have to offer. Highly recommend. read more

My wife goes to PoBu at least once a week and she always always always love it! We have never had a complaint and this is definitely the best spot on Main Street! Please visit if you have the chance, you won't be disappointed! read more

I recently graduated and the hardest part about leaving school was knowing that I couldn't have Pobu anymore. It is the best poké place I have ever eaten at. Every place I've had since never compares to the freshness and the taste I had at here. The workers are also extremely friendly and caring. Sometimes I even consider driving 3 hours just so I can eat a bowl for dinner. Would give them 10 stars if I could. I know they have some competition with poke bros but Pobu BLOWS them away. read more

Great food made by great people. You can't beat it! Easily my favorite restaurant! The food is so fresh and you can taste the difference immediately. My hardest decision right now is whether or not to drive from Wilmington to Newark for food whenever I'm hungry, to grab a poke bowl. Pobu does it better than anybody else for sushi bowls and burritos read more

My girlfriend from Northern Virginia and I were so impressed with the holy crab sushi burrito! We loved it so much we came back the day after for another lunch break. The ingredients taste so fresh and the portions were ginormous. We really had a great experience at PoBu and we highly recommend it. read more

The chirashi bowl was great. The spicy tuna and the ahi tuna tasted fresh. I loved the Yuzu Wasabi flavoring and the rice was not hot.

pretty overpriced for quality of food and size of bowl. also if you have any sort of food allergies I recomend not eating here. I expressed my concern with my shellfish allergy and I still had an allergic reaction even though I did not order any shellfish in my bowl. I think the risk for cross contamination is very high at PoBu. Will not be returning. read more

This is easily my favorite place to eat on main street. My boyfriend and I come here probably 3 times a week and everything we have ever gotten has been absolutely amazing. Everyone working here is incredibly friendly, the portions are huge, and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a try if you like sushi! read more

PoBu is a great spot to dine in and grab a quick bite to eat! The food is great and the employees make the restaurant even more impeccable! Every employee takes the time to make a personable connection with their customers read more

PoBu is that friend that you don't see for a while, but when you hang out with them you immediately say "oh yeah, thats why we don't hang out anymore." I am not saying PoBu is necessarily bad, but it is much better in theory. I am pretty sure every time I go in there they are training a new staff member, and this obviously effects their consistency. I feel like when I walk through the doors of PoBu, the words "not that much" or "extra" are muted when I speak them. That being said, will prob go back in like a week or two. read more

I happened to find PoBu as I was walking down Main St and saw SUSHI BURRITOS! I just had to have one and it was yummy! The poke bowls are also good, better than the Poke Bros for sure. The proteins are fresh and sauces delicious. They have Acai bowls but I haven't tried those yet. read more

Great place with great quality of ingredients. They offer a lot for your money and you can't go wrong with sushi burritos! Staff is very friendly and you can definitely tell the difference of quality compared to the other chain poké bowl places. I highly recommend going read more

I designed my own poke bowl with salmon and ahi tuna. The fish was extremely fresh and delicious and all the ingredients made the bowl extremely flavorful. The employee's are also extremely friendly. I will definitely be going back! read more

This new poke/sushi place is awesome. You can make your own poke bowl or sushi burrito. It's so unique to the area and relatively inexpensive, not to mention delicious! I went there for the first time the other day and got a sushi burrito "tempura style" and it was nothing like I've ever had before. I will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu and more. I'm really excited about this place and hope that more people are too so it will stick around!! read more

For Delaware, its good/ok. I like how the bowls and burritos are flat priced and they don't charge extra for specific items in your bowl/burrito. The avocado has been brown and gross though on multiple occasions since I've gone there, and asking the owner woman for some soy sauce (which is weirdly behind the register) seems like pulling teeth- you own a sushi shop, soy sauce is supposed to be a limitless amenity like salt and pepper. The location blows too, but thats not their fault. They could be a great place, but they have to focus a bit more on customer service and keeping their ingredients fresh. read more

a must try on main street! everything is fresh and presented so nicely. highly recommend!

Pobu's TOKYO MOE! (cue Godzilla's or WWE's Samoa Joe's Theme Song) is a sight to behold; a behemoth of culinary excellence. In a lot of ways, the TOKYO MOE! sushi burrito is like The Infinity Gauntlet. Each ingredient (or gem in the case of the Gauntlet) is an exceptional power unto itself; sushi rice (BAM!), avocado (POW!), cream cheese (ZAP!), Spicy Tuna (KERPLOW!), Spicy Salmon (BORK!), Masago (SNUH!) and a cavalcade of Sweet Teriyaki and Sriracha Aioli (BRIK! and POP!) interlaced together like gossamer (and as we all know...one does not dissect gossamer) on a seaweed wrap. This by itself is better than 99% of the things you've ever eaten. Wars have been fought over this level of flavor. When encased in tempura batter and deep fried, however.....(much like The Infinity Gauntlet) the TOKYO MOE!! burrito transcends time and space. It has the power to destroy or recreate the Universe. Mickey wears its ears when it goes to Disney. It's.....that....good. Run, walk, scoot, bike, fly,.....make the pilgrimage. read more
