Having to order lunch for myself during the work week, I ordered a build our own bowl through their online ordering website and ended up saving a dollar off my bowl. The bowl is usually $12.50. I ordered a half and half bowl with Marinated Tuna and Squid Salad. I continued with my half and half experience grabbing both sushi and brown rice. I added all the free items to quickly fill my bowl up for my lunch. I was surprised to see tofu as an addition. Usually it's saved for a vegetarian option. It was a nice to have it in the bowl; small cubes mixed between the sauces and add ons. The sweet soy and the wasabi aioli were a nice mix for the two sauces. A little sweetness and heat. Picking up my online order was quick and easy. They didn't have it ready when I got there but quickly threw it together and I was on my way to a full stomach. read more

I didn't like the first two times, but Maui Poke was closed surprisingly - so, I chose the next closest thing. This was a horrible mistake. I ordered two bowls with sushi rice. First off, their rice comes HOT. Do you want your raw fish to be lukewarm when you eat it? Yes? Well, this is the place for you. Secondly, they only give one scoop of each item, no more no less. Sometimes they scoop the food so fast that half the food falls back into the bin. Does that matter? Nope. You want to pay $25 bucks to be hungry??? Not me. Lastly, when I told them that my bowl was LITERALLY half empty, they said "there's nothing we can do. See? It looks like the picture. That's what it's supposed to look like". When I pressed further, the best thing he could do was give me another half scoop of hot sushi rice. Gee, thanks. Now my fish is literally sandwiched between hot rice. Overall: poke bro's have gotten expensive. But this one is the worst of them all. Do yourself a favor. It was weird that two very similar Japanese fast food places open on main st almost at the same time. Well competition always benefit the customers right? Never had Poke bowl before but as pointed out in Ben's review it's a thing in California (confirmed by my girlfriend and she got so excited). Came in for Saturday lunch. Surprisingly there was still a line at 2pm. Food service was quick. I got three signature bowls and they were made almost instantly. Got two Utah and one Duke for me and friends. The Utah is perfect if you like sushi and sashimi as it's mostly a salmon bowl. Amount of fish was good and it was fresh. The avocado and edamame make it even more satisfying. I do not like adding onion or seaweed in my bowl but if that's your thing try the Duke bowl. Service was friendly and fast. Parking in the shopping center was easy. Plenty of sitdown space. Tip: if you get more than one bowl ask them to put them in separate bags. The paper bag was too large for the bowls and they did fall and tilt in the bag when I was driving. I never post reviews but this place deserves one. I use to work here so I understand the portion sizes you're suppose to give to customers. The workers here now would give customers SIGNIFICANTLY less than what I was trained to give despite the numerous price increases. And if people were to ask for a little more, they would either refuse, charge you extra or curse you out under their breath in Chinese... If you're worried about not making enough profits, I assure you providing better customer service and scooping out larger portion sizes WILL retain and attract more customers as opposed to constantly increasing the price. Well I have to say my experience at poke bros was quite interesting. Let me give you my backstory, I am from a small town in Cuba so I've always been open to trying new and creative meals. I discovered poke bros in a catalog from my friend back in college (the good old days) . Well anyways we both decided to let bygones be bygones and get some poke together because why not! After going to poke bros I have learned many many things. It is in fact very empty and I don't know if I am fond of the chipotle style serving. I prefer to not see what is happening with my food ya know. Anyways, the silence was loud and I could hear myself chew and swallow ever so quickly because I eat fast. I'm a little shy so this was not a good impression. One young adorable woman was there and she looked like she was having a good time though. Well I'm sure many people like it here I'm just not one who favors the texture of a wet tuna. It was nice to finally see my frenemy of the college past. My bf and I frequently visit this place. The quality of ingredients is always good. I like how they have punch cards and unique flavors of mochi that I haven't yet seen anywhere else. As a native Californian, I'm surprised how quickly the Poke trend arrived here in Delaware. That being said, this place is legit and equally as good, if not better than many places you'll find in Hawaii, CA, or NY. It might be considered expensive for a fast-casual restaurant, but completely worth it. We've added this to our weekly take-out rotation. My personal favorite combination is sushi rice, spicy tuna, seaweed salad, avocado, masago (roe), cucumber, sriracha aoli, topped with tempura flakes and crispy onions. I do need to add that whoever is on staff when you guys open (first shift of the day) is AMAZING at making bowls. I added ginger, cucumber, pineapple, crab stick, and tempura flakes. I can't recall which flavor sauce she recommended but it was perfect. My husband and I visited the place yesterday. I am a sushi/fish lover and I've been craving fish for the longest time.... so despite hating fish, my husband went there with me.
