The other brokers always told me to stay where I was. FINALLY I found this company, and in less than 20 days I fully closed on a 15 year mortgage with a rate LESS THAN 3% saving me OVER $90,000 in interest vs my previous loan!!!! My case was very difficult with many different obstacles. With each hurdle, John (the owner) found a solution and handled my case expertly. He was fast, friendly and honest. I will never use anybody else except John! Thank you John for setting my future up for success!

After shopping around, I contacted Atlantic Finance Group over a year ago, and I was immediately comfortable and impressed with John, who is the boss of the whole operation. John spent a lot of time with me to get an accurate picture of what I wanted, and where I stood financially to get me the best deal that he could. While I could have been approved at that time for a good home, John knew I wanted a great home with the best possible rates so he set me up with his credit repair specialist at no cost to me. They were very patient with me and walked me through everything I needed to do, and a year later after following their plan I felt ready to start seriously looking at houses with my realtor. When I finally found a great house, and was ready to make an offer, John followed up with the seller's agent personally to emphasize how strong of a prospective buyer I was. This helped me win the bid in a very competitive market against multiple bidders on the property. John then immediately went to work behind the scenes and we had our mortgage commitment within days. What was even more impressive to me was how the shelter in place orders due to COVID19 around that same time did not stop John and his team one bit. I was worried my deal would collapse and I could lose my future home due to factors outside of my control, but they continuously surprised me with their ability to adapt and evolve as the pandemic continued to complicate daily life in new and unexpected ways. They worked fast to lock me in at an amazing rate, saving me thousands of dollars over the life of the mortgage and on closing costs (he doesn't charge any broker fees) compared to other institutions. His team even helped me save more money in other aspects of my life. For instance, they lined me up with a local independent insurance agent for my homeowners insurance who in turn helped me lower my car insurance significantly. John's team was there for me during every step of the home-buying process, all the way up to our virtual closing. He would always explain to me what was happening behind the scenes, and was always available for questions. He would update me frequently on all happenings pertaining to the process in a timely fashion. He made everything so easy. If not for the township taking a while to handle our request for a tax certification due to COVID19 we would have closed in two weeks. Regardless, I'm just ecstatic I was able to get my home despite all the chaos caused by the pandemic. From the beginning, the team at Atlantic Finance Group was very professional, and very knowledgeable about the market and all the different mortgage products. They helped me become more financially savvy, not just for this process, but going forward. I never felt rushed, and they worked with me to get an amazing home. I am so thankful to them, and if I am in the market for a home again at some point in the future, they will be my first phone call again!

Hello world my name is Adrienne M. My experience at Waterstone Mortgage was definetly not a good…read moreone. I wouldn't recommend them especially to a first time homebuyer. They did not explain the process in a professional way. They are totally unaware of how to treat people and once it was bought to "THE BOSS Mary's" attention it still didn't get any better. Her choice of words to use in her response during my complaint to her were condescending rude and unprofessional. In jus a day I fired them as my lender and ended up with a REALLL lender who I love so much and the process continues. I'm really happy I decided to leave and go elsewhere. I'm much happier and most of all I'm INFORMED of the process. In the future Mary, don't tell a client they need their hand held or that ur not gonna be a go between for them and the lender that's working under u and then say u don't mean to be offensive. Well u were offensive and unprofessional. U should have said u would be there every step of the process to help in anyway u can and made me feel great moving forward in the process. The final straw was I reached out to let her know I was no longer gonna work with them by email and she didn't even respond. That even spoke greater volumes to me and made me feel my judgement was right on point. How unprofessional still. Later that evening a get an email from Lisa, a woman I never met or spoke to saying she saw the email I sent Mary and I can call her she'd be happy to speak with me. I do appreciate Lisa doing that but I'll see how much she cares because I forwarded her my number and told her she can call me at her leisure. I further let Mary in their (Corporate Headquarters Office) know I will be reaching out to her higher ups which I fully intend to do. I also told her I would happily leave a YELP REVIEW. So here u are folks. I give them 1 whole star and that's jus for answering the phone in my initial call to apply for my mortgage and that's where the stars stop because it was all down hill from there. Hopefully Mary and others there will realize the buyer is ur client . U are not bestowing a courtesy to a person seeking a mortgage. They are a courtesy to u. That's what helps to keep u guys behind ur desks. Stay humble!

The female manager who attended us was unable to meet our request for very good reasons. This was not the problem. The problem was her sarcastic and patronizing attitude. Instead of educating us on the process (we were missing needed documentation), she laughed at our request. Loudly and laughing said something like "everyone comes with such unrealistic requests", to which I responded that it was the first time for us ever to need such an authorization (concerning a death in the family of all things). We plan to move our mortgage to another bank.

Once I finally was able to talk to someone, they weren't able to answer my questions, and referred me to another Wells Fargo employee who wasn't currently there and was supposed to call me the next day. However, when the banker greeted me, he never introduced himself, didn't shake my hand, and barely made eye contact. Not sure if I was expecting too much, or if they should reconsider who they have sitting at the table talking to people about business involving their bank. Oh and the employee didn't call me for over 3 days from my initial visit, and if wasn't even during the time slot when I said I was available to talk.
