Our experience with Rector Best was great from start to finish. She was always very responsive to all of my needs. After 3 years, leaving was difficult, we were sad to go. The move out procedure was a breeze too, no games with the security deposit, always a relief. I would certainly recommend, 1st class management company

Rector Best provided probably the least enjoyable experience I have had with renting. The best…read morething I can say is that they were moderately responsive to complaints or repairs over my 1.5 years living in one of their houses. However, they were some of the rudest people I have encountered in the professional world. The woman who came for a final walk thru upon move out greeted my roommate and I by saying "Well your yard looks like crap, guess that's coming out of the security deposit." This was after hours of yard work when we were told the yard only needed to be "free of weeds and debris." They also said they would not charge us for repainting but proceeded to charge us $100 for "additional painting," whatever that means. To top it off they lied about chimney sweeping being a requirement of the least when it was not. They only refunded us for this when asked multiple times to do so. If you have another option for someone to rent from, I highly recommend you take it over Rector Best.

Do yourself a favor and work with Jamie Gallagher. I just bought my first condo in the DMV (second…read moreoverall), and coming in from outside the region, I had no idea what I was walking into. Jamie's deep knowledge of the market and genuine thoughtfulness about what I was actually looking for made all the difference-- and I'd say that whether you're a DMV newcomer like me or have lived here your whole life. Jamie has all the fundamentals locked down (great market knowledge, genuinely in your corner) but what set him apart was how much he actually listened. He took the time to understand not just what I wanted in a condo, but what mattered to me. There's a difference between an agent who helps you find A place and one who helps you find the right place for YOU, and Jamie is firmly the latter. Communication was seamless the entire time. I always knew where things stood and what was coming next. My closing ended up getting pushed back a couple days and Jamie wasn't able to be there, but he made sure his colleague Jillian had me covered. I felt supported start to finish, and that kind of follow-through really says something. 10/10, would absolutely recommend to anyone buying in the DMV.

Shame on Corcoran McEnearney. Look elsewhere. The financial and physical toll my children are…read moresuffering due to this company's incompetence is mind boggling. Because they were serving overseas, they could not view the house in person and trusted the realtor to give them a realistic assessment of its condition. Their number one request was that there were no repairs needed. The house looked great in pictures, but after the sellers moved out, the nightmares were revealed. The advice to buy at the asking price and waive inspection is unforgivable. They are looking at tens of thousands of dollars in repair on a house that was priced at the top of their budget. Unbelievable!!!
