Made sure I bought the right nails and hooks. I'm so happy that you are my local Ace Hardware. You'll be seeing me more throughout the year. Thank you!! Oh, and all employees are super friendly.

I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.

Because of this massive network of over 4,100 individual stores, they can use this network to provide lower prices to compete with the big box stores. They have everything for every season whether it's flowers, plants, trees & shrubs to outdoor furniture, Christmas trees during the season accessories and a huge array of grills for those grill master enthusiasts. Oh and of course typical hardware stuff like paint, tools etc. Don't miss going into the yellow house and they even have a restaurant, yes in a hardware store, called Sully's that you can eat and also take cooking classes there. You can also walk around with an adult beverage while you browse! They have the OG at 71st and Keystone, they acquired Allisonville home and garden by Sullivan, 49th and Pennsylvania and in Cicero. They also had the more expensive saws. I have also found this store to have the most options for cedar lumber. The people at the service desk have always been very helpful. They have a nice selection of Xmas items. The only thing I struggle with there sometimes, is finding what I'm looking. It likely is I visit a closer competitor more frequently, so I'm just as not familiar with the layout of Menards. There also seem to be fewer employees in the aisles that you can ask for help. But when I find them, they have been excellent. Good products good price.

But really, how could you not? The name of this place is Menards! Anyway, I visited this Menards, thinking, "Me nards! Me nards!" over and over in my head as I went in search of some indoor plants. But what do you know: They must not have indoor plants in late fall, because I could find nary a one. They didn't even have any outdoor plants. Apparently, Menards is not the place to find plants of any kind when the weather turns cold. So I walked around to see if maybe they were hiding the plants somewhere else, and I came across aisles of pet products, Christmas trees, patio furniture, paint, and lots of other things. Menards seems to be a one-stop-shop for home improvement. Parking is plentiful, and it's easy to get on and off the interstate.

The vibe here? This Lowe's strikes me as ideal for grandmas needing to take care of their flower beds (No, I'm not hating on grandmas) and the yuppie DIY'er whose needs are basic. It's amazing how different places have different vibes. Home Depot is for the true hardcore DIYer who may even want to rent tools. Menard's is a little more family friendly - sort of an urban Rural King. Lowe's? You can get most of the basics here, however, the lack of knowledgeable staff in-store would almost always keep me from hiring anyone to actually install anything. Tonight, my needs were basic. I did ask about steam cleaners - at first, they didn't know. However, a nice gentleman looked it up and took me to the right place. They didn't really have what I wanted, however, he was helpful and even handled my cart (which was awful, you would think in a hardware store they could actually fix their carts). I did get some cleaning supplies. I'm not big on self check-out, however, the employee who'd assisted me handled the check-out - theoretically great, however, when I got to the car I realized the bill was a bit high. He'd charged me twice for the expensive item and hadn't charged me for another item. So, I trudged back in to get that straightened out (it was handled fine). Accessibility here is good. Lots of accessible spots. The doors are automatic. That's always a plus. The aisles are wide and I generally could get where I wanted to go (well, except for that awful cart). My favorite sections here? Appliances, kitchen/bath, and carpet/flooring. I find the cleaning section a little lacking and I find the customer service hit-and-miss (though, to be fair, almost always good in terms of willingness to help). This is a solid 3-star for me. I'd probably have forked over the fourth star if not for the checkout mishap. I appreciated the help - I just wish it had been more accurate. I typically go to the Glendale spot as it's closer to my home, however, I was in this area and there's honestly not a huge difference between locations. I give the slight nod to Glendale, though.
