Like always in Houston, I was having HVAC issues, and like always, my first call was to Anthony at…read moreH-Town AC Repair. Once again, he went above and beyond. He answered my call well after business hours, had me send him a few pictures of my attic and the problems I was having, and walked me through exactly what was going on and how to fix it. He didn't rush me, didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, and took the time to help me on his own time. My previous review honestly didn't do these guys justice. Anthony saved me a service call, saved me money, and gave me and my wife a piece of mind. It's hard to find companies, like H-Town that genuinely care more about helping people than making a quick buck, but that's exactly what I've experienced every time I've worked with H-Town AC Repair. If you're looking for someone who's honest, knowledgeable, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile, I can't recommend Anthony and H-Town AC Repair enough. They've earned a customer for life.

I selected a top rated gas hot water tank, and the manufacturer's web site listed them for Houston…read moreand I called them Sunday as my old tank had failed and was leaking water all over my utility room. I appreciated that I got a real person vs AI fake call answerers or recording machines, when I called. He asked about my situation vs everyone else who wanted just to come out for $$ to do an estimate. He asked for pictures of my tank and ventilation on roof, and then outlined his costs. He came off very professional and said his guys would her on Monday afternoon--which they did on time and listened to my concerns not to scratch my washer/dryer . The guys were professional as well. I not giving a 5 star as I desperately wanted a service call on Sunday given the water everywhere. That they were unable or unwilling to do--I'd even pay extra. (If they came to my rescue on Sunday I'd given 5 star and post a video on FB and other social media as I wanted the problem solved that day). I'd use them again if the tank lasts as long as my old Kenmore. The professionalism made them stand out--just hope it doesn't fail on Sunday.

I cannot say enough great things about Geovanny with City & Beyond Handyman Services! He recently…read morecompleted my master shower renovation, and the transformation exceeded my expectations. I'm 6'1", and since purchasing my home in 2015, I've never felt comfortable using the master shower because it was simply too small for me. I primarily used my guest shower because it offered more space. I can literally count on two hands how many times I've used my master shower over the years--and since I don't take baths at all, the tub was basically wasted space. When I explained my vision to Geovanny, I told him I wanted to remove the tub, extend the shower, and create a spacious, spa-like feel. Boy, did he deliver! He took the vision I had in my head and brought it to life beautifully. The new shower feels completely different--open, comfortable, luxurious, and exactly what I wanted. The renovation did take longer than we initially anticipated, but the finished result was well worth the wait. Quality work takes time, and I'm extremely happy with the final product. I've worked with Geovanny on several other projects throughout my home, and he delivers top-notch results every single time. He has definitely become my go-to person for home projects. 10/10 -- I highly recommend Geovanny and City & Beyond Handyman Services, and I will absolutely continue using him for future projects!

I requested a paint job for walls and ceiling for a standard 2-car garage that is 24x24x9 in size…read more Geovanny was fast to respond with a quote and I appreciate that. He quoted $3000. Hard pass. I recommend shopping around. Other local companies with great reviews were 1/3 of the price while also doing prep work and using quality Sherwin Williams Duration or Cashmere paint. So they may have quoted me high because they didn't want the job or they use unicorn paint. They were transparent and upfront about the cost and quick to respond, so I'll give them that.

I knew from the first company I called that there were complications to replacing my very old gas…read morewater heater, so I called Texans Water Heaters for another opinion. Brandon immediately recommended switching to electric would be the most cost effective. He called an electrician he has worked with, who turned out to be very reasonable and someone I will use in the future for my electrical needs, and the day after that work completed, Brandon & William quickly capped the gas line and replaced with a new electric water heater. Brandon was correct electric was much more reasonable price, in my case, than replacing with another gas water heater. Very happy I called Texans Water Heaters and pleased with their services every step of the way.

THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE HOUR REPAIR IN HOUSTON…read more FIVE DAYS WITHOUT HOT WATER. A $1,000 LABOR QUOTE FOR A REPAIR THAT TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR AND THEN TRIED TO HOLD PARTS THAT BELONGED TO ME HOSTAGE WHEN i WANTED TO GET THE REPAIR DONE BY ANOTHER COMPANY. BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE, TEXAS WATER HEATERS SEEMED FAR MORE INTERESTED IN MAXIMIZING THE SERVICE BILL THAN HELPING RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM. USE EXTREME CAUTION AND GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE APPROVING ANY REPAIR WORK. We purchased a Navien tankless water heater from Texas Water Heaters in December 2023 (their recommendation), including installation of a new electrical outlet. When the unit stopped producing hot water less than three years later, we expected a straightforward warranty repair. Instead, we spent five days without hot water while Texas Water Heaters turned a relatively simple repair into a frustrating and expensive ordeal. The technician initially told us the motherboard had failed, they were getting weird electrical readings and that labor would be covered because Texas Water Heaters had installed the electrical outlet. Texas water heaters then brought in an electrician, who claimed the outlet was functioning properly. After that, Texas Water Heaters changed course and presented us with a quote of $1,000 in labor (because we hadn't purchased their service package/labor warranty at time of install) to replace a fan and PCB control board, despite the parts being covered under warranty. YES, THEY TRIED TO CHARGE $1000 TO REPLACE TWO ELECTRICAL PARTS COVERED UNDER MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY IN ADDITION TO THE $89.00 service fee just to come out! The THOUSAND DOLLAR estimate to replace two electrical components IMMEDIATELY raised red flags. I contacted another Navien-authorized service provider, who told me the repair should take about half an hour and that their hourly rate was $175. Unsurprisingly, I chose the second company. The situation became even more frustrating when Navien informed us that Texas Water Heaters had arranged for my warranty replacement parts to be shipped to their office instead of my home. Navien further explained that because Texas Water Heaters had accepted delivery of the parts on my behalf, Navien would not send replacements and I would need to obtain the parts from Texas Water Heaters. When I called to request my parts, I was initially told they had to be returned to Navien. Only after I requested written confirmation that Texas Water Heaters was refusing to release parts that belonged to me did they call back and suddenly agree I could drive over and pick them up. The second service company completed the repair, installed the warranty parts, and performed a full tune-up for a little over $300.
