Terrible water.. Orange water that stains everything. Stolen personal property from the owners.

It seems to be Evergreen is best known for seasonal camping (you fancy-pants camper campers types,…read morewith your built on decks with outdoor carpets made to look like well maintained grass), but I'm going to tell you my experience as a cabin renter camper type. Bottom line... IT WAS AWESOME. Elaboration time... We got one of the newer, fully equipped cabins, which came with A/C, running water and flaunted a private full bathroom. The cabin sleeps 6 (we put more people in there but, shhhh!), and was more than accommodating for say, hypothetically speaking, 6 adults and 6 kids with some blow up mattress support (the cabin limit set by the campground is 6). The cabin rate was $200 a day. The cabins have a private room with one queen bed (I think... I sleep on a king bed normally because I'm an American), a loft room with a double (Again, American, and I really have no idea, as I typically have enough room in my giant bed at home to lounge, eat a smorgasbord, practice calligraphy and also sleep), and a set of bunk beds in the common area. The one bad mark I'll award --and this is a mighty stretch-- is that the playground area, which wasn't great to begin with, was conveniently closed due to COVID, but was in shambles anyways. The playground should be upgraded ASAP. (NOTE: Neither Yelp, Inc. nor Jim B. condones in any way, shape or form, the circumventing or breaking of any rule, such as cabin maximum capacity, regardless of how arbitrary a rule may be, and it is the expressed position of Jim B. that every person should respect the order set by the establishment, blindly, and at every cost, no matter what.)

Clear my mind, beautiful clear night, stars and moon lighting up the ski. Trails that go forever,…read moreputting life back into the best perspective leaving out all the ones that try and take everything you have earned and loved and thought would be behind anything life throws at you and when you throw back, only the real ones stick it out by your side. Let everything and everyone go and settle for things that don't last. Love Life, Let the Haters Hate. Meet people half way and expect the same in return. I'm not giving up my respect and honor anymore. Happy Thanksgiving all.

We stayed for a month. First 3 weeks were great minus the trash not getting picked up weekly. Mark…read morekept the grass cut well esp having to fix it when it broke once. Pete leveled the roads and got rid of the mud spots! The campground was pretty full and the number of bags going in, matches the volume of people there. I contacted the owner and he blamed it on someone in the apt there. The recycling was never picked up or dropped off for the entire month. Fast forward to last week. Police came in several times when the owner returned. It was apparent after seeing him with Mike's hard drink in hand in the morning, that's the problem. This guy drives the tractor then and smashes a bunch of things including a picnic bench. I was scared he was going to hit my RV when he drove it. Then he starts trying to fix the road himself (it was fine when he came back). He starts dumping dirt all over it. Pete fixes it again after that. Oh yeah the dog park, they didn't put in a swing gate so the dog park is way overgrown and they can't get a mower in. Who wants to take their dog into a tick park? Then comes Friday and we see him go outside in the morning during the daylight and take a poop outside in public (bathrooms are across the street from him). Fast forward to when we are trying to leave and he's pouring mud all over the roads. Thankfully he didn't cover the one side and we were able to get out. The campground owner needs rehab, 100%. I don't feel he's a bad guy, just stuck in a drunken stupor. This is a quiet, no-frills campground. We never had any issues with the water electric or any hook ups. We definitely did not drink the water there as we never drink campground water anyway. Sites are pretty level. It rained heavy a few times and our site stayed pretty dry. As long as the owner is not present, things are ran and look great.

Rates are competitive. The grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained. Shower rooms are very clean. We leave our travel trailer here and come several times a month for a few days. That is one way to cope with the fuel crunch and not have your RV/TT sit in your driveway unused. I would recommend Misty Mountains without reservation.

We've been coming here for 4yrs with friends' families and we really love it! It has lots of…read moreamenities for the kids including heated pool, interactive splash pad, Pickle Ball/Basketball courts, Gaga Ball, fishing pond (for beginners), trail down to Genesee River, etc. They offer river tubing, but River has always been too low to go. My family and I have been coming here for YEARS camping for the 4th of July week to kick off summer…read morevacation. Always a good time. We have and continue to camp so many places. Trout Run is by far our #1 choice to continue to return to. There is so much to do. We began camping here when our kids were young and liked the pool, the mining station, the wagon & train rides. Now they are all tweens and teens. All still love the pool and their focus has changed to wanting to float the river, playing Gaga ball, going to the activities such as candy bar bingo on their own, etc. Sites are huge. Good electric and sewer. Owner is very friendly. I really like the way he invests back in the campground. Always improving and expanding. Trout Run is truly top notch. As with all the pros, some things are to be aware of: 1. WiFi is absolutely horrendous. After years of issues with the WiFi, my advice for you is to consider this place having no WiFi. Years and years of camping here, it has yet to work. Yes, we are camping. However, having an RV means being inside when it rains. No working WiFi is just awful for a long night of torrential downpours. 2. Pro and a con - the rules are not monitored. It's nice not to have security breathing down people's necks about every little thing. Trout Run let's people breathe and relax. The downside - people speeding through the back road near the field, including the campground's own bus. People can see children playing kickball in the field or axe throwing next to the shed and still speed by at unreasonable speeds. 10-15 year olds driving the golf carts around. Yes. The agreement says 18+ but you clearly see young children driving them around with no regard for other people or knowing the 'rules of the road'. I saw one cart in particular almost hit multiple children on bikes. The campground doesn't monitor this. As every year I've been here - kids in the pool without a parent. Rules are not enforced. As a parent, I can't imaging allowing my child to swim unsupervised- but alas it has happened every single year for years. This means kids jumping in over your heads into the pool. I'm surprised people haven't been hurt or worse, drowned.

Now as an adult I can appreciate it even more! There are plenty of trails to explore by foot or bike. If that's not your speed, you can rent the paddle boats or a canoe to go around Rabbit Island, go fishing, or go for a dip in the lake. It's a nice quiet campground and coming from the city, you can really see the stars out there! If tent camping or RV camping isn't your thing, you can go glamping and rent one of their cabins. They're perfect to enjoy with some family or friends (I've done both on a few occasions). Bonus- you get your own shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen! But you'll have to book them early as they can go fast! My family has long ties with the Bull family and they are truly amazing people! Definitely book a weekend (or a season) with Camp Arrowhead!
