We stayed for a month. First 3 weeks were great minus the trash not getting picked up weekly. Mark…read morekept the grass cut well esp having to fix it when it broke once. Pete leveled the roads and got rid of the mud spots! The campground was pretty full and the number of bags going in, matches the volume of people there. I contacted the owner and he blamed it on someone in the apt there. The recycling was never picked up or dropped off for the entire month. Fast forward to last week. Police came in several times when the owner returned. It was apparent after seeing him with Mike's hard drink in hand in the morning, that's the problem. This guy drives the tractor then and smashes a bunch of things including a picnic bench. I was scared he was going to hit my RV when he drove it. Then he starts trying to fix the road himself (it was fine when he came back). He starts dumping dirt all over it. Pete fixes it again after that. Oh yeah the dog park, they didn't put in a swing gate so the dog park is way overgrown and they can't get a mower in. Who wants to take their dog into a tick park? Then comes Friday and we see him go outside in the morning during the daylight and take a poop outside in public (bathrooms are across the street from him). Fast forward to when we are trying to leave and he's pouring mud all over the roads. Thankfully he didn't cover the one side and we were able to get out. The campground owner needs rehab, 100%. I don't feel he's a bad guy, just stuck in a drunken stupor. This is a quiet, no-frills campground. We never had any issues with the water electric or any hook ups. We definitely did not drink the water there as we never drink campground water anyway. Sites are pretty level. It rained heavy a few times and our site stayed pretty dry. As long as the owner is not present, things are ran and look great.

Rates are competitive. The grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained. Shower rooms are very clean. We leave our travel trailer here and come several times a month for a few days. That is one way to cope with the fuel crunch and not have your RV/TT sit in your driveway unused. I would recommend Misty Mountains without reservation.

Came up from Texas to visit with family. Really nice lil park. Well kept and a lot of little…read moreactivities on the weekends. Has bingo and raffles also does a egg hut for the kids. It's a nice quiet place with a lot of friendly people. The bathrooms were very well kept and so were the grounds. We will come back here in the future for sure. There is also a really good BBQ shack right down the street that is very cheap and surprisingly good. Called wallys BBQ shack. You have to check that out if you don't feel like firing up the grill.

The owner, however, has a long list of ridiculous rules, and treats everyone like their her children, no matter their age. Everything is included in the monthly price, electric, sewer, water, but most electric boxes only have a 30 amp socket, which sucks if you don't have an adapter, and she has a list of things you can't do/use because you're on their electric. Plus, the tree we were under released big heavy seeds on us the entire summer, not even exaggerating. Pretty at first, annoying after a month. The town, Friendship, is really small, but there's a good diner, TC's right in town...great food, cheap prices. Besides that, the area is good for antiquing and festivals and wine tastings, but thats about it for fun.

It seems to be Evergreen is best known for seasonal camping (you fancy-pants camper campers types,…read morewith your built on decks with outdoor carpets made to look like well maintained grass), but I'm going to tell you my experience as a cabin renter camper type. Bottom line... IT WAS AWESOME. Elaboration time... We got one of the newer, fully equipped cabins, which came with A/C, running water and flaunted a private full bathroom. The cabin sleeps 6 (we put more people in there but, shhhh!), and was more than accommodating for say, hypothetically speaking, 6 adults and 6 kids with some blow up mattress support (the cabin limit set by the campground is 6). The cabin rate was $200 a day. The cabins have a private room with one queen bed (I think... I sleep on a king bed normally because I'm an American), a loft room with a double (Again, American, and I really have no idea, as I typically have enough room in my giant bed at home to lounge, eat a smorgasbord, practice calligraphy and also sleep), and a set of bunk beds in the common area. The one bad mark I'll award --and this is a mighty stretch-- is that the playground area, which wasn't great to begin with, was conveniently closed due to COVID, but was in shambles anyways. The playground should be upgraded ASAP. (NOTE: Neither Yelp, Inc. nor Jim B. condones in any way, shape or form, the circumventing or breaking of any rule, such as cabin maximum capacity, regardless of how arbitrary a rule may be, and it is the expressed position of Jim B. that every person should respect the order set by the establishment, blindly, and at every cost, no matter what.)

I'm not giving up my respect and honor anymore. Happy Thanksgiving all.
