Now as an adult I can appreciate it even more! There are plenty of trails to explore by foot or bike. If that's not your speed, you can rent the paddle boats or a canoe to go around Rabbit Island, go fishing, or go for a dip in the lake. It's a nice quiet campground and coming from the city, you can really see the stars out there! If tent camping or RV camping isn't your thing, you can go glamping and rent one of their cabins. They're perfect to enjoy with some family or friends (I've done both on a few occasions). Bonus- you get your own shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen! But you'll have to book them early as they can go fast! My family has long ties with the Bull family and they are truly amazing people! Definitely book a weekend (or a season) with Camp Arrowhead!

The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful in all aspects of my stay. I was personally directed to my campsite, which was perfectly level, no shims, no boards, no jacks were needed. The only leveling required was front to rear and that was easily accomplished with the hitch jack. The grounds were clean and well manicured, and quiet hours were enforced. There are a number of pleasant walking paths, and if you fish, be sure to bring your equipment. There were multiple ponds containing all matter of species. Bass, trout, sunfish, perch, and catfish just to name a few. I will definitely be returning to this campground on my next visit to the Olean area.

"Peace and Quiet and Natural Beauty"…read more My family stayed at Tranquility Trails over Labor Day weekend for a preview of their facilities. We stayed in Stargazer, and the view is truly amazing. Early morning mist, shooting stars at night, and hills that roll on and on. The wildlife is abundant - we saw hawks, deer, raccoons, and a bobcat, to name a few. The trails are well marked and well maintained, and the terrain is hilly, but family-friendly. We had a cookout and camp fire down at the Ebb and Flow cottage, and our son and dog had fun floating in a small boat in the koi pond. Our host Lisa was very considerate of our privacy, but was also available if we had questions. Tranquility Trails is a perfect place to recharge, away from the hustle of life.

But this year we decided to spend a couple days camping, and it was fantastic. Full disclosure for this review; we camped mid-week, and this place was very uncrowded - we pretty much had the campground to ourselves. I realize that this place fills up pretty good on weekends, so if you can swing it, mid-week camping is the way to go. We stayed in a section of camp that is only accessible by driving across a creek. This area is tent-camping only. There are several in-demand sites that are adjacent to Caneseraga creek. We got site 113, which is the one at the very end. Some of the sites in this area are nice and private, whereas others aren't at all, so do your homework. The ground is all packed-dirt, some of it with ruts from cars driving through mud in the past, so I'd recommend some sort of air mattress. We use something called a Japanese futon, because I got sick of replacing air mattresses every year or so. The creek is tranquil and scenic and the constant sound of rushing water was fantastic. This is the kind of setting you can sit in front of for hours as the water rushes by. The shoreline is very rocky, and apparently the building of elaborate rock cairns is a common activity here. I'm not sure how far the campground property goes, but climbing a steep hill next to site 113 reveals old logging roads. We followed them for a while, but turned back before we got lost. But it was a great, private place for me to walk the dogs off-leash every morning. There are several more campsites at the top of a steepish hill. These are all very private, but have the downside of being an inconvenient walk from the bathrooms. This is also how to get to Campsite X, which is situated in the woods directly next to the first waterfall in Sugar Creek. The bathroom on this side of the creek was fine. Two private, unisex stalls, and an outside sink for cleanup. More than adequate. I can't speak for the bathroom facilities on the other side, or the shower accommodations. But enough about the sites, the creek with the waterfalls is the real story here. The various waterfalls are a spectacle to behold. The walk to the final waterfall took us about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace with a 3-year old, a 5-year old and two poodle-sized dogs. It was challenging enough to be fun, but never difficult. Along the way, there are several swimming holes, as well as a rock ledge you can jump off of. We didn't try it, but there is a rope that you can use to ascend to the top of the final waterfall. At the top, there is reportedly a pool into which you can rope-swing. we'll save that for next time. Note that a visitor fee is charged to walk the creek if you're not camping here. I think this is fair, and have never had a problem paying for the privilege. I'd hate for such a treasure to be hidden away and made inaccessible. In closing, I highly recommend at least visiting here. The camping is great, the location is fantastic and we all need a little more nature in our lives.

Pete leveled the roads and got rid of the mud spots! The campground was pretty full and the number of bags going in, matches the volume of people there. I contacted the owner and he blamed it on someone in the apt there. The recycling was never picked up or dropped off for the entire month. Fast forward to last week. Police came in several times when the owner returned. It was apparent after seeing him with Mike's hard drink in hand in the morning, that's the problem. This guy drives the tractor then and smashes a bunch of things including a picnic bench. I was scared he was going to hit my RV when he drove it. Then he starts trying to fix the road himself (it was fine when he came back). He starts dumping dirt all over it. Pete fixes it again after that. Oh yeah the dog park, they didn't put in a swing gate so the dog park is way overgrown and they can't get a mower in. Who wants to take their dog into a tick park? Then comes Friday and we see him go outside in the morning during the daylight and take a poop outside in public (bathrooms are across the street from him). Fast forward to when we are trying to leave and he's pouring mud all over the roads. Thankfully he didn't cover the one side and we were able to get out. The campground owner needs rehab, 100%. I don't feel he's a bad guy, just stuck in a drunken stupor. This is a quiet, no-frills campground. We never had any issues with the water electric or any hook ups. We definitely did not drink the water there as we never drink campground water anyway. Sites are pretty level. It rained heavy a few times and our site stayed pretty dry. As long as the owner is not present, things are ran and look great.

The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

HTR Niagara has everything you need for a great vacation experience. We visited for a family…read morereunion and were so impressed with our accommodations. The cabin we stayed in was comfy for our family of 5 and included a full bathroom with shower. It is still a camping experience so while you have a sink and coffee maker, there is no indoor grill or microwave. Everything was clean. We utilized the outdoor grill and fire pit nightly. Quiet hours were from 10pm-8am I appreciated all of the space in the cabin and strong AC. My only complaint is our mattress was a little hard so it wasn't the best sleep I've had, but overall these are above average accommodations for a camp ground. We enjoyed the accessibility of the site. You could easily walk to all of the amenities. If you are seeking amenities and things to do HTR will have you covered. We enjoyed the pool, mini golf, laser tag, kayak rentals, craft making hours, pedal bikes, and trails during our 4 night stay. All of these activities were included! Our kids had a blast and had something to do all day. The staff were very kind and really made us feel welcome. We loved the location as it was very close to Niagara Falls and restaurants in the surrounding area when we didn't want to cook on the camp grill. Overall, very happy with our visit and would highly recommend if you are looking for a camping experience without the work.

Note-the tent sites didn't offer a ton of privacy, it was kind of open. It was very close to two bathrooms. It was very quiet. We were so impressed upon arrival. Everything was well marked and clean. The general store has a little bit of everything. The staff was helpful and friendly. They offered a lot of family friendly activities. We were there during their harvest festival weekend. They offered hay rides and cider and donuts by their bon fire the first night we were there. Almost all of their activities are included. They charge a fee for their zip lines. They offer free pedal bike usage alongwith boat usage. It is conveniently located to Niagara Falls. They offer late check-in and even check in for folks who don't have a reservation, if they have availability Saturday morning the store opened at 9 AM a little late for us since we were on the road by 845. We were hoping to buy acup of coffee (they have $2 K-cups).
