Camped here over Memorial Day weekend. Lots of activities for the kids and some that included the…read moreadults, as well. Some required extra money to participate but most were reasonably priced. They rang a bell to signal or remind everyone (in case you are on camp time) that a new activity is starting. A favorite among the kids were the slush puppies in the camp store. My kids, ages 11 and 13 survived even though there was no cell coverage. Do not depend on the campground's WiFi connection, if you can call it a connection. Definitely, need to upgrade that amenity. Our group of 4 families all had buddy sites together, which was very nice. Our site was on an incline and needed extra blocks for leveling but was still a good sized site. Would consider coming back for a short weekend stay but would tell my family back at home that we will be off the grid.

Couldn't make a connection so I was unable to work any of the days I was there. yes - we are camping but I brought my Mac book depending on being able to work. Couldn't use regular service or hot spot because there was no signal. Suggest investing in a more robust internet service/connection. The kids had a great time with everything. Pool, bounce pillow, DJ both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Sites are standard. Wouldn't say tight or spacious- just regular. Did take a walk on the trails which I was able to see a deer and rabbit on the trails with me. Friendly staff.

They added extra fire pits so you can go to the community fire place or have your own private time. Everything was perfectly clean, much better than many hotels I have stayed in. The bath house had lots of amenities. Two of the tents have electricity for fans and lamps. Every tent has a battery charger for your phones. It was so wonderful to wake up to the sound of birds. The check in spot has a note with the owners phone to call. They show you the amenities and to your tent. The lounge has tables to eat and exchange your lanterns. I did not use the lantern to charge my phone I brought a battery pack. They have umbrellas and rain boots you can use if you need to. The breakfast had coffee. Tea, and a tea kettle if you need boiling water for oatmeal. I ate a crescent roll and jelly for breakfast and a yogurt with granola. The lounge also had fliers for attractions near by. The bathroom was clean and nice. It was a but of a walk if you stay in Aspen, but you also have privacy. The campfire was lit every night but you did have to share with the other glampers but everyone was very nice. The pond is newly constructed but will look nice once it is all settled. I ate out but there were two grills available for use in the cooking area. We also took their wine tour. It was $100 per person but I would say worth it and very convenient! Christine is very knowledgable about wine. The price included stops to 5 wine tastings at different places. One stop served lunch, lunch was at your own cost. After the tour we had a back in the tent before heading out again. The inside of the tipi was very cute and I would stay again.

We found this place on google maps and called ahead. The owner explained that our 40 ft box truck would fit in several of the spaces and we were welcome. We pulled in and the entire space was clean, well manicured and stunning. The owner helped us pick a spot we loved and we got set up. Unfortunately something was wrong with our truck and we couldn't get power on so we were not able to stay, she refunded our entire payment and invited us back anytime. My boyfriend and I booked a one hour trail ride for a Saturday morning while we were visiting the Keuka Lake area. The team at Mountain Rose communicated effectively with us about moving our ride to the afternoon to miss the rain moving in. We had the most incredible afternoon. From the moment we arrived at the farm, we were transported into something of a movie. The staff, the horses, the fairytale-esque riding trails; everything was outstanding. 100% recommend for couples, girls trips, nature lovers; everyone and anyone looking to try something new. This was a great change of pace to the everyday.

My kids LOVED the greeting by Lucas, the enormous goat, and playing with the kittens. Oh, and of course the horses and trail ride! It's rare that I'm dazzled by a hotel or feel that it's worth the money (they're all stupid…read moreexpensive these days), but Harbor Hotel was a wonderful experience I'd recommend to anyone. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive. But for once I felt like I'd gotten my money's worth! Everything everywhere was meticulously clean and well-kept. Our room was spacious and bright, with a private balcony and chairs, a couch and coffee table, and a full table that allowed us to take comfortable advantage of the room service breakfast. Potpourri sachets in the closet, free water bottles in the lobby, free coffee stations on each floor, and chocolates every night on the pillows--details, people! We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, and of course the gorgeous patio and firepits overlooking the lake which was 80% of the reason we booked here. All of the staff we encountered, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were very friendly. I did think it was a little strange that the fitness center was in a whole different building and you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it, but hey--you get your steps in. The hotel is also very centrally located. On the water, of course, but next door to Seneca Harbor Station from which you can book lake cruises. It's also less than a mile from the entrance to Watkins Glen State Park and hiking trails and only a 5-10 minute walk from most restaurants. We did most things on foot. When you do get back in the car, there are multiple wineries within a 15-minute drive. The only problem the whole visit was the hotel internet, which was terrible every day. You could make do in the daytime, but at night, when everyone was back in their rooms after the day out exploring, it was slow to the point of unusable, and I ended up turning on my data hotspot to even be able to check my email. I would not suggest bringing time-sensitive work with you, and you should not expect to be able to stream videos on your devices. Just disconnect, you'll be less frustrated. There is an onsite restaurant and bar, and while it's nothing mind-blowing, it is a nice option to have (and is one of the few "higher end" type places in Watkins Glen). Menu includes a few of the standard local wines, which was nice!
