I'm not a vegetarian but I am interested in meat alternatives and eating "greener," so I was excited to try PLNT Burger within the Boro's Whole Foods, but I don't think I'll find myself coming back. My biggest qualm was the small portion sizes of the burgers which also looked nowhere near as nice as in the pictures. These tiny burgers are a smidge larger than slider and inadequately sized for a meal, especially when a burger, fries, and drink sets you back around $13. Flavor-wise, the patty was crispy and had a good consistency and decent flavor, but by no means will it fool you into thinking you're eating beef. The sauce situation was confusing because I was asked to pick a sauce with my order but I didn't realize that was for a side sauce. Thus, instead of the sauce I picked, my burger came with a vegan 1000 island sauce which I would have skipped had I known about it. Another miss was the mandarin juice which tasted flat and syrupy, sort of like Tang. The fries, however, were awesome. I just wish the other aspects of the meal were stronger. read more

food was delicious! Website was easy to access and guided. Pickup time was accurate and easy to grab. Customer service was great!

I loved the chicken sandwich. It taste like real chicken. Service was also fast. Friendly staff. Small but clean environment.

they were open even during first wave of pandemic when everything was closed. Groupon.app sometimes has promotions at 40-50% discount rates and I love the berry farm-to-table CSA drink! The packaging is of course sustainable and you can request for add-one like the sauces for the petal fries which I think they use healthier oil-based when frying? I always order in advance since drive up is only 10 minutes or less parking, but it's very worth it. The franchise is located inside Whole Foods and you can enjoy the food court on the 2nd level for clean air and there's a bar for happy hour.. the pricing matches the quality of sustainability, vegan, and health conscientious menu of palette choice(s). I like the web site design as well very friendly interface. read more

I've been frequently checking PLNT burger to see if they've updated their nutritional information on their website and they have! I can see why their burgers are so delicious and tad on the rich/greasy side because their Cheeseburger for example has 54 grams of fat. That's my full daily value of fat in a day! Overall, this place is amazing and delicious and I will definitely visit again when I feel like treating myself. However, this is also a good example of "just because something is vegan, it doesn't mean it is healthy." read more

PLNT Burger has quickly become a staple for me and my girlfriend since we tried it about 2+ months ago. We had passed by this new spot in the Boro Whole Foods a couple times before venturing to order anything. We do frequent this Whole Foods a lot, so it's super convenient to be able to grab some groceries and dinner for the night at the same time. Disclaimer: We are not vegetarian/vegan at all, but we love the burgers, sandwiches and fries here! Everything is delicious. Since trying PLNT Burger, we've been able to come back and try a variety of items. Everything is fresh, hot and made-to-order. I always order on the app on my phone and it comes out in about 15-20 minutes at the counter. There's a lot of great discounts and perks on the app too! Food: 1. Mushroom Bacon Burger - The first time I brought my girlfriend PLNT burger, I got her the mushroom bacon burger. Halfway through, I told her it was all vegetarian and she couldn't believe it! The "mushroom bacon" is pretty legit and this burger comes with caramelized onions and bbq sauce. 2. Steakhouse Burger - This is one of the newer offerings and it consists of a patty, caramelized onions, shoestring-like crispy fries, roasted portobellos, provolone, horseradish mayo, and steak sauce. I really enjoy the steakhouse with the added portobellos and it's a pretty thick burger. 3. Double PLNT Burger - The double PLNT is a classic burger with onions, pickles, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sauce. It's still delicious even though it's not as unique as the other offerings and definitely hits the spot. 4. Spicy Chik N' Funguy Sandwich - We tried the spicy sandwich one time and while I did enjoy the texture of the oyster mushrooms, the spicy sauce was a little too tangy for me like a tangy buffalo. I think I would enjoy the regular version of it more, but still the cripsy mushrooms were good! 5. Sweet Potato Fries - The sweet potato fries here are epic! Super hot and crispy wedges. They go well with the sweet chili sauce. These are some of my fave sweet potato fries I have had in the area! Overall, big fan of PLNT burger and all of their delicious offerings! Vegetarians, vegans and omnivores alike should try! read more

PLNT burger hits different. I've had Impossible and Beyond meats in all its forms, but this is the first veggie burger that truly scratches the itch for a longing vegetarian, and I am in love with the bloomies. I'd honestly LIKE to give it 5 stars, however... I was shocked at how hard it was to get allergen information. There is nothing on the website or menu, and the employees kept reflexively responding to my inquiries about gluten-free items with "everything is vegan!"--they didn't seem to know what gluten was or which items contained it. At my first visit, I didn't feel like I could confidently order something safe here, so I think PLNT Burger needs to focus on employees allergen training and/or making allergen info more accessible. For all my gluten-free friends out there, it turns out that everything is gluten free except the potato buns and the cookies, according to an employee who answered my online inquiry. After a long line of questioning, an employee at this location also told me the deep-fry batter is only corn flour and rice flour. Clearly, this didn't happen by accident. It makes no sense to me why a place would go through the trouble to make almost their entire menu GF, and then not even advertise it, or at least make that information available! read more

PLNT Burger is a fast food concept located within select Whole Foods Market locations. I've tried 3 locations in VA and DC, although this location at The Boro is my go-to. Their menu offers juicy burgers, herbed fries (with a myriad of tasty dipping sauces), Oatly milkshakes with a monthly flavor, fizzy drinks, and snacks like cookies/chili for order in-person or preorder online/via their app. They occasionally share promo codes via Instagram or their website, so I often take advantage of their "meatless Monday" or new item deals. My favorite item of theirs is the Chicken Sandwich, which they recently changed from air-fried mushroom chicken to Gardein faux meat. While both versions are delicious, the mushroom chicken is a creative concept with a unique taste that I particularly enjoyed. Likewise, ordering from the app is a great way to collect "points" which can be redeemed for future discounts or promos. The prices are generally higher than their non-vegan counterparts, nonetheless I'm extremely grateful to have a local vegan fast-food joint. read more

The food is so yummy and flavorful here. I enjoy ordering off the app, as they constantly run promos. The manager here is FANTASTIC! I imagine Non-vegetarians would enjoy the food as well. read more

The veggie burgers are quite delicious, and so are the herb-crusted fries. While you can sit upstairs at the Whole Foods in Tysons, this is also a convenient takeout option, picked up on your way out after shopping for groceries. read more

Absolutely delicious!! My husband and I both ordered the cheeseburger and herbed fries. Definitely lived up to the hype. Loved the messy burger and nostalgia the restaurant captured. This is a great spot to go if you're craving a burger but still trying to eat plant based. My husband and I love the beyond burgers, and were excited to find out they used beyond meat here. I would definitely recommend. Also a great spot to bring someone who is tentative about plant based eating. Looking forward to eating here again. Please bring one to the Whole Foods in Reston, VA!! read more

Unfortunately, I've felt the quality has gone down over my last couple of visits since COVID. Things just haven't been as good as I remember. However, the staff is always very friendly, hospitable and quick with the orders. read more

PLNT Burger is my favorite place to go for good fast food. It has all been delicious and I don't need to worry about the ingredients. They treat their customers very well and make the food with care. I love it! read more

Love the concept and happy that real veggies are being used for the chicken. I had the spicy chickN sandwich which was really good. The onion blossoms are good too, like having a blooming onion! The berry apple cider drink is good too, just wished the cup was larger!! Recommend that staff become more familiar with the foods they are selling because when I asked what the chickN was made of young man behind the register should have know it was mushrooms. So glad I was able to find on line cause I almost didn't order!! I will give a try again when in the area. read more

Hello there! My husband are thinking about working our way to reducing our meat intake. We decided to try a plant based burger. So PLNT Burger it was. They are located inside the Whole Foods. It looked like a burger. It tasted like a burger. But it wasn't a burger. It was pretty good though. But the downside for me was I had severe indigestion about 15 minutes after eating it. So almost immediately. I suffer from acid reflux with certain food and this did me in and I got a headache. The fries were real fries. I got the Dbl and my husband got the mushroom bacon burger. Oh and they are not cheap. But what is nowadays. Just bring some dollars with you. I don't know if I will try them again anytime soon, only because I don't like suffering from indigestion. read more

This PLNT location is inside a Whole Foods which can be a little confusing if you are not expecting it. Was really not impressed by 2 of the 4 items ordered or by any aspect of the service. We came at about 1 PM and were the only customers with the exception of a to-go order we saw. Stood and waited for acknowledgement for over 5 minutes. There were two employees working and at least one saw us not long after we arrived but let the other one (working on the to-go order at the grill) serve us when he finally noticed us 5+ minutes later. Got fries, a chicken sandwich, an oatmilk shake and a juice. Lots of confusion when ordering (we went right off of the menu, no special instructions but had to repeat the order three times.) Took about 12 minutes more to prepare our food. We asked for a receipt, but what they gave us was the grill order, not the actual receipt. Chicken sandwich was underwhelming and skimpy, fries were fine, juice was not great but the oatmilk shake was a winner. Total came to just under $20 and for the food quantity, quality and overall experience I think that I definitely overpaid. If I wasn't visiting with a vegan who really had their heart set on PLNT, I would have passed after waiting so long just to get eye contact from an employee. There is nowhere to eat downstairs near the food counters but there are tables upstairs overlooking the Whole Foods. read more

I just tried the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. It's only available today (for now). I really hope they make this a staple menu item because it is fantastic. I've had Beyond sausage on an English muffin at Dunkin Donuts and it was dry and dehydrated and probably sucking the life out of me. So I expected something similar here, but the muffin was really fluffy and soft and not dry at all. The egg and cheese was tasty and moist. They also added a chili sauce which added the perfect flavor to this combination. And the best part is that even with all this tastiness, it was light and didn't sit in my stomach like a rock. That's plant based for ya! I think of the greasy awfulness of pork sausages, eggs, and cheese- I used to enjoy them but now that I think of it, it's a deadly combination (well quite literally) and can send you into a food coma immediately. PLNT is substitution food, but it's so so light on your stomach and digestion. I also got the cheeseburger which was also awesome- I'm not a huge fan of the Beyond Burger patty smell (I prefer the Beyond sausage by far) but it was still great. Please add the breakfast sausage to your everyday menu! read more

First time trying this joint. Service was very good. Nice folks. I rated 3 stars because I support vegetarianism, but it's way over priced, basically, fast-food for the wealthy. The chocolate chip cookie was salty and expensive. Is that the way it's sold or did someone accidentally make a batch with salt instead of sugar? The cheeseburger was quite thin for $9. The chikn sandwiches were a better size but ever more expensive at over $11. The fries were fine. I didn't care for any of the special sauces. Good ole ketchup and mustard were good enough for me. The spicy chikn sandwich is basically dunked in tabasco-like sauce and it's too strong. You have to park in the garage and then get your ticket validated before leaving. I prefer Elevation veggie burgers and fries of plant burger, but it's a good start for folks trying to become vegetarian. read more

The food was delicious and surprisingly affordable. I redeemed a coupon for a free chicken sandwich along with fries, a cookie, soft serve, and a drink. I highly recommend. read more

Good service but burger had an imbalance of taste. I had added guacamole by recommendation of the server but I think it didn't fit with the overall flavor profile. That's said, still relatively tasty and sweet potato fries are amazing. They also have a fabulous assortment of sauces for the burger and fries. read more

Awesome place. Definitely coming back for another Steak house burger, their staff made us feel welcome and the manager who was in-charge made our experience 100% worth it! Thank you so much for having an amazing, Healthy, Delicious and Fresh Food. read more

Awesome, the best plant-based burger I've ever had, and I'm a burger snob who generally hates plant burgers (even though I'm now mostly a vegan). I had a double cheeseburger with jalapeño... I was expecting waxy fake cheese, too-salty Impossible meat, and an overall taste that feels like it was created in a lab. However, the plant burger was perfect: cheese dripping off the sides, good (if a little crumbly) meat patty, and they nailed it on the toppings, with caramelized onions, special sauce, and a soft and squishy bun. Next time I'm in the mood for a cheat meal, I'm not going to bother with actual meat, I'm coming here. Also: good prompt service. (I would post a picture but I ate my burger too fast, sorry!) read more

We stopped by and saw the menu and it looked pretty good and appetizing. We decided to give it a try. This was 30 minutes until closing on a Saturday night. There were only 2 people working and we waited for 20 minutes for them to take our order and nearly 45 minutes for our food. It seems that the online orders are integrated with the on-site orders. The sandwiches was okay but drinks were too sweet. They forgot the sauce and they ran out of bloomies 5 minutes prior to giving us our food, the portion sizes were a lot smaller than expected. My friend who ate there with me got a lot of diarrhea, cramps, and stomach pains for the next couple of days and developed a fever, so now I'm quite skeptical. We did notice that they burnt a lot of the patties and that the cooks had to reach all the way up to deliver the food, so there should be a drop-off window convenient for reach. I'm all for vegan food and the idea of a vegan fast food area is gold, however, PLNT Burger just isn't it... Or it could be just this location. read more

SO excited to see PLNT in Tysons! I ordered a beyond cheeseburger, drink, fries, and chili off of DoorDash. The fries honestly outshined everything. Do not get the chili though if you do not like sweet food. I was a little surprised when I tried the chili, but to each their own. read more

The taste is all there. As a meat eater, I can say that this tastes like a real burger! My only real complaint towards plant based foods is that its not very filling. Whereas I can be satisfied with a regular burger, I'd need at least 2 plant burgers to feel content. Right now, they're offering a happy hour deal of $5 plain burger or cheeseburger every Monday - Friday from 4pm - 6pm for Oktoberfest so highly encourage taking advantage of that to try it out if you are curious! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I got the spicy chik'n sandwiches. The ingredients themselves were all good and flavor was sufficient but the price was too much for what you get. The spicy chik'n Morningstar Patties provide the same flavor and you could just get those for a much lower price. read more

Have loved everything I've gotten from PLNT. I just wish I could find them in every Whole Foods.

The food was way too salty. The flavor was weak and overcome by the added salt. The hint of flavor we did get was good, but they skipped out on prioritizing such flavor. We ordered the DBL PLNT Burger, Steakhouse Burger, crispy Herb Fries, PLNT Cookies and a chocolate soft serve. All savory dishes were too salty, the soft serve was grainy and way too sweet, they forgot to give us our cookies (UberEats refunded us for them, though), and the sauces we paid extra for were in tiny tsp-size cups (see picture). Not worth it. read more

Love the place and the food is excellent! But charging me for extra maple mustard is almost criminal lol. I wish I could give it more stars but petty charges like that kill the vibe for me. read more

OMG!!!! We need a Whole Foods with a PLNT Burger inside in Fredericksburg, VA! Until then, I'll be driving to Tyson's!!!!

I have tried the cheeseburger meal with fries and berry bunch. Only fries would be good to eat the food was not tasty or have any special flavor. I don't recommend their meal if you are starving or as a main meal during the day. read more

Awesome vegetarian/vegan restaurant. I was surprised by how good the burger was, especially the cheese. The fries were perfectly warm and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The chocolate shake was good, it was like an frosty that had a hint of oatmeal. read more

This is the closest thing I can get to the old shake, burger and fries meal. They do something with the cheese and onion on the burger that really just makes it for me. I usually do not appreciate vegan cheese but this one is special.. My only complaint would be that they sometimes use improper parts of the mushroom for their 'chik n' sandwiches, sometimes make it very tough to eat, or impossible. I love their burgers but have stopped getting the 'chik n.' Milkshakes are delicious, fries are tremendous as well as dipping sauces! read more

Drove out of my way to go try this establishment over this past weekend. After waiting 20 minutes in a line of 2, I was turned away b/c something was wrong with the computer system. Apparently they were off-line & staff were not competent enough to figure out any solution. Rather than the, '...go this local ATM or arrange something with Whole Foods (as it was located in a WFM)or come back in a few or order and pay later,.... Just some kind of solution... We were literally just turned away since we didn't have cash. Very disappointed. Not in the food but with the customer service. read more

I was initially very skeptical to try this vegan burger, but it was very good. Tucked in a Whole Foods in Tysons corner, this vegan burger joint is quite delicious. I ordered the spicy 'chicken' burger, and while it did not taste at all like chicken it was still pretty good. The one issue is there was not enough 'meat', I mostly had bread and lettuce, but I'll definitely be back to try something else. read more

great food, incredible mission! i love the oatly shake!!!!

Used a Groupon to get a meal here. In theory I would love to give this place five stars but both my burger and bloomies had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the Crispy Funguy meal and got bloomies instead of fries. Everything was cooked perfectly but there was no flavor at all. It tasted like everything was just dipped and fried without being seasoned first. Had this been seasoned properly this is easily a 5 star place. The bloomies sauce and Cardamom Mandarin drink were awesome tho. I'll give it another try to see if maybe it was a fluke. read more
