To maximize value, order the "Little" burgers (1 patty) vs. Regular (patties) and small fries ( feeds 2 easily). The fries are hand cut and fried in house with potatoes from Idaho. The best potatoes in the world in taste and texture. My uncle is an agriculture professor in Idaho so he told me so. Beef is fresh and so are the veggies. I almost order all the veg to creat a side salad. A little vinegar as salad dressing. These burgets IMO are better than Shack Shake and better value as you get more food for the money. Looking around the food court, there is usually one place with a line- 5 Guys. You know what you are getting and the burgers are consistent and decent- plus a bag full of fries never hurts. The service is ok- the cashier is usually very friendly and helpful- but the person handing out orders can be very unpleasant. I thought this was a great deal especially in the mall and they always give an extra scoop (or two) in the bag as well. The secret is to order cajun fries bc those are as good as they can get. I called in a carry out order at around 1:00 today. The woman that answered the phone had very bad english skills and had a very hard time taking my simple order. She eventually hung up on me. I called back and the male who answered the call told me that he had a customer and that I should call back in 10 minutes. I told him I was in my car on the way to your store and he told me that he couldn't take my order because he had a customer. I hadn't eaten Five Guys in years, so this visit really hit the spot. The line was 12 people deep on a Sunday afternoon, but it moved fast. And the little hamburger I got was super satisfying. It was dripping with all the grilled stuff I asked for (mushrooms and onions) and mayo. The "little" fries were not little at all; I couldn't finish those. Good thing I didn't get a drink or anything else, because it would be going to waste. The mall ambiance is an acquired taste. Five Guys counter people are yelling out pickup numbers constantly. THIS Five Guys location is the worst of them all based on the fries alone. They never seem to cook their fries to a crisp and they hardly give any fries unlike all the other locations, where Five Guys is known to be generous and overfill the bag with fries. They usually fill the cup and then some - but not here! They meagerly, barely even fill the cup, and then hand the order over to you like they didn't just rob you of a bag of fries. Every time I come here and order a large, consistently they give about half the amount of fries compared to other locations, their fries are under done AND the mall prices are about 20% higher too. Grateful they re-opened! The burgers are amazing. I love burgers so I'm easy to please, however during this particular visit, the patty was warm instead of hot and fresh like they usually are. I will let this pass though as it is not the norm, and all other aspects of the burger made up for this. The bun was on point--soft but sturdy enough to hold the burger together, as it should. The worst thing is when the grease from the burger makes the bun soggy and fall apart, but this was not the case here.
