I concur with Jeremy (one star deduction for no coffee....it's plant based, right?). Instead we had a Mermaid Lemonade instead for $8.50 (still rather have ANY kind of coffee). We both tried the same smoothie bowl: The White Bear Lake Mermaid. That was well worth the $11! This place is tiny (we ate outside, which was nice). I'm glad I was meeting a friend here because I probably would have driving right by it (it is just off the main drag of downtown WBL).

SERIOUSLY SOME OF THE BEST SMOOTHIE BOWLS IVE EVER HAD! The banana peanut butter was my favorite, so much flavor perfect amount of the different textures, just all around perfection. The location is super cute, I love how everything is decorated. I was hesitant about giving my kids a smoothie bowl but they loved it and didn't even want to share with me, we will definitely be going back!

It strongly reminded me of rude people at kiosks in malls. (I almost asked if they were art students.) They kept telling me how wonderful sea moss is, and I asked why my wonderful doctor hasn't recommended it along with the other supplements he tells me to take. I finally took a sample after hearing these people sing the praises of sea moss. About 2 hours later I had a stomach ache, was tired, was achy everywhere and it lasted through the next day. I looked up sea moss and found out that is where manufacturers get carrageenan, and makes people sick. Lots of people avoid this ingredient like the plague. It was a FAMINE food, like tree bark! If you take a sample of this I recommend you do it like the guy in Parks and Rec. Dump it in the trash and ask for another.

If this company has cameras with audio, I would encourage them to listen back to order 6525 that was placed today, March 19th, 2026 around 5:45 PM. I came to support this establishment because I have yet to do so since the opening, and was excited to contribute to the success of a black owned business. The grounds were clean, and the music was a vibe. I placed my order at the Kiosk, and paid nearly $25 for a $9 juice and $10 smoothie with tax. Both products were wonderful. However, that's not my concern. The service was without a doubt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man serving the community today began to chat with me, catching up because we were familiar with one another from my previous employer. After asking where I was working now, he began to solicit me with job opportunities within Life Juices and on his own personal product line, offering me $500 to assist him with marketing. (Mind you, this is very similar to the conversation we had when I met him the first time, he let me know then that he's co-owner of Life Juices and also offered me job opportunities.) When I declined, he asked why do "black women" act like this or that (I don't remember exactly what was said) At this point, I'm annoyed and offended. After I respectfully read him his rights, I told him I don't want him to make my juice and I'd like my money back. He randomly referred to himself as a Pharaoh and let me know that he would begin making my order. As I'm waiting for my order, two other patrons walk up to place an order. The man serving took this as an opportunity to poke fun at me with one of them, saying I don't recognize a Pharaoh when I see one, and dapping up the stud. Now, I did my best to be a good sport. They began to joke that I don't even know what Pharaoh means. I decide that I'm not going to pay attention anymore. As I bend down to give my three year old juice, the patron leaned over to ask "do you know what pharaoh mean" I responded and said "it means King". She then returned to the conversation with the man working discussing how women need to do better when they see a Pharaoh (that's just a paraphrase) Now if you get a chance to listen to the audio, I was referred to out of my name during this conversation (meaning the b word) and I'm trying to figure out how did we get here when I just came to order some juice that I didn't even want in the first place- just supporting a local business. SMH I'm so upset, honestly. The audacity of these people to refer to me out of my name in front of my three year old son was so distasteful. The audacity to include this random patron that I don't know to poke fun at any person, but me..? a person who just supported your establishment. All because I declined your advances? If you're reading this, shame on you. Do better.

I wanted something with fruit in it. I did a search and found this Nautical Bowl. It was across the street from where I was. I placed an order online for my usual sunrise bowl. I got a dinghy (medium). I usually get a cruiser (large), but I didn't think that I could finish it. It was easy ordering online. I paid and got an estimated time when it would be ready. I drove across the street. Parking was fine. I backed into a spot across from the main entrance and walked in. The space was cute. There were places to take photogenic photos of bowls and drinks. I headed to the pickup area. There was the nicest man taking orders and making everything. He was great helping me get my order, which was in the fridge. He handed a paper bag with handles over to me. I wished him a great day. He reciprocated. I happily headed to my rental vehicle with my goods. I drove to Grand Casino Arena for a Minnesota Wild game. Once I had parked on level 4 of the RiverCentre parking ramp, I took out my bowl of happiness and ate it before heading to the arena. I love this smoothie bowl so much. It is my favourite. It has a layer of blue majik (spirulina, pineapple, mango, and coconut) , followed by a layer of pitaya (dragon fruit). It is topped with granola, sliced bananas and strawberries, and a drizzle of honey. It has enough fruit to satisfy my fruit cravings. I love the granola that gives a textural contrast between the layers of smooth fruit with the sliced fruit. So good! I am glad that I dropped by. I'd definitely return for more when I'm in Blaine again. (135)

The young man at the counter offered me an extensive menu of regular coffees, espresso drinks and specialty drinks, all of which could be made hot or cold. They also have a variety of milk selections. Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! By the way, although I tried hard not to look, their pastry case looked scrumptious, filled with homemade pies by the slice and other goodies. Since they are so close to the hospital it's really nice that they also have a lovely display of fresh cut flowers. Next time I'm down here I'm going to stop in for a meal. If the food is as good as the coffee I think I'll become a regular.
