I got a Big Island Bowl. The bowl was filled to the top with fresh ingredients. This bowl had matcha, which I don't like, and the taste was very strong. Aside from that, it was good. Every time I travel to the Midwest, I have to make a trip to this chain at LEAST once (usually more than that). Despite the frigid winter temperatures in Minneapolis, I couldn't wait to make a trip here as soon as I came into town. My order at this location was my second bowl of the week. I had ordered from another location a few days prior, and this one happened to be closer to where I was. I placed my order via the mobile app, and I arrived to what I thought was my pickup location. It turned out that this was the store I had submitted my order to, thankfully only a few more minutes from the wrong location. I came in close to closing time. It looked like the manger was doing some training for some teenage employees. The store was in good condition; it looked very clean. All of them were very friendly and greeted me. The manager in particular made a lot of effort to welcome and engage me as a customer. She made sure to welcome me back again and gave me her business card for any contact info needed. After taking my order to my hotel, I was happy to see my Yacht (large) Custom Bowl made accurately. I added a lot of additional toppings, and each one was on there with generous portions. Each layer of smoothie base had the perfect consistency as well. Overall, I don't have a single negative thing to say about this location. Service, speed, and quality were all exceptional. Since this location is about 10 minutes from y regular hotel, I'll be sure to stop in as soon as I'm in town again. read more

Not my favorite. Parking is difficult right in front of the location. The bowls are very sweet and I was dismayed that both in the stores and online theres no information on ingredients, food allergies can be tricky and not javing that information one person in our party elected not to gamble. No one was available to help customers when I first arrived and appeared to be no one in the store, It turned out there was only one person in the location and they hadn't left a sign or anything when they had to step away. After wanting to come here for quite some time, Nautical Bowls did not disappoint. I've tried a few acai bowls here and there and I think the ones at this place have been the most nutritious/healthy. With the added seeds, nuts, etc - it's protein packed and also delicious. Somehow it manages to be sweet enough but not too sweet compared to other acai bowls I've tried. It's so refreshing ! For my first time, I got the Big Island Bowl. I was worried that all the layers would blend together too much and not taste as good but that wasn't the case - it was still phenomenal. I got mine with coconut granola and it tasted perfect. My favorite layers were the acai and blue majik! I should add that after my husband (who is not an acai bowl person) tried mine, he ran inside to get his own! He got the Nauti bowl and he loved his even more. I have been planning on visiting since I saw their first post on Instagram. I have such a love for Açaí bowls and was very excited to make the drive over. Thirty mile drive for us. Parking is a bit tight as it's connected to a gas station and a couple of other stores. They have a few tables outside and on a beautiful day like today I was bummed to have to sit inside. The inside is very boring... was hoping for it to be cute .... the name just made me think it would have a fun vibe as they seem very fun on social media. The bowls.... no flavor, seems processed vs fresh and they are a bit tight on the toppings, i had to ask for just a little more peanut butter. They are also pretty spendy. I took my son's girlfriend who is 18 and she agreed that we wouldn't go back. We tend to drive far for an Açaí Bowl and have found two places further away that are much better. Sometimes you don't want fried or fast food and you want something light and refreshing and Nautical definitely has it. For $9 I got a giant bowl of dairy free chia pudding, almond butter, granola, fresh fruits, and seeds. There was a perfect balance of all the flavors and textures and it was very filling. YUMMY!! I've been to the food truck and was waiting patiently to be in the area to visit the actual store! I love this and wish there was one closer to downtown MPLS so I could go here more often! Yes, it's expensive, but it is definitely worth it. The process of ordering a bowl at a new place seems scary but they lay it out for you nicely. I got the medium (cruiser) sized açaí bowls with açaí, blue majik and matcha as the bases. Next, I got the peanut butter cocoa chia granola (I would literally eat this granola every day and if anyone knows their house recipe or they decide to sell it alone I FOR SURE will buy it). Then you pick four toppings for free or an extra charge (.50) for anything over 4. I picked banana, kiwi, and almond butter (I think I was too excited to remember four). I'd also highly recommend the almond butter and I want to know what kind they use because I can't get enough of it! The inside of the building is really cute and good to take some fun instagram pictures with friends or just of the food. The employees are very friendly even if you are new to the store or açaí bowls in general! Parking isn't an issue here either with the lot. I have no idea if what I consumed was actually healthy, but it was delicious! Definitely more expensive than other Açaí places around the country (around 7 dollars for a small) but there's no other Acai restaurants in the suburbs so they can pretty much charge whatever they want. We ordered the coconut activated charcoal base with blueberries, strawberries, hemp seeds, and almond butter. It was delicious but very sweet! Everything I have has here has been amazing and i know i will keep on coming back for more! The first time I ever had Nautical Bowls was at the Hopkins Farmers Market. The owners had a small booth set up where we could try some of their toppings and bases. Me and my wife shared one and fell in love with it. After that day we just had to go back! Food: Nautical Bowls specialize in making healthy based sorbets. First you pick your size, your sorbet base, choose a granola, and then add your toppings. The offer a variety of bases including acai, pitaya, charcoal, blue majik, and a few more (I have only tried the acai and pitaya ones). Of the ones that I have tried I have thought they were a great texture and flavor. It is on the same consistency as soft icecream for me but the flavors are wonderfull. They are very rich and very well done. I've always wanted to try offer flavors but can't get over how good those two are! Next you can add some granola to your bowl and there's just a couple to choose from. It really helps break up the soft texture when you want a crunch! After that there is a whole slew of toppings to pick from. There's bananas, strawberries, cocoa nibs, honey, and more healthy options to enhance your bowl. Every combination I have gotten and just helped enrich the overall experience I have with the bowl. There's really no where you can go wrong. Just writing this review is making my mouth water! Store: Nautical Bowls has a cute little restaurant that's not too far out of the way. The store is small and it's easy to miss as you drive by. There is not much parking and since it shares parking there are usually not many spots available. The store its self is cute, well decorated and is always clean. The one downside is that since it is so small if more than 2 customers are in it the store gets really loud. We usually dont stay too long cause all we can here is other people talking if theres a chatty group. Other than that its a nice store. Overall this is a great place to go that is worth the trip out.
