Pleasant is correct! Ed is a personable, Intelligent and very funny guy. lol Not to mention, he is probably the very best "home inspector" in several counties, if not all of NorCal. Maybe the best in the state!? I am a General Contractor and have met/seen hundreds of these "home inspectors" over the years and none, repeat none, have impressed me like Pleasant Home Inspections. I was called to review a home for sale in Sonoma County in which the potential buyer also arranged for Pleasant Home Inspections on the same day & time. I was utterly amazed at how professional and thorough his process really is. Ed goes very deep and outlines details that few other inspectors take the initiative to find. Frankly, Ed found things that I didn't. Yes, my ego took a hit but worth every snivel to watch this man work! I am now Pleasant Home Inspection's biggest fan! read more

As a real estate agent, I rely on the opinions, reports, and investigations of other experts in their respective fields. Whether representing a buyer or seller, Ed Stiles is your home inspection professional. I have worked with him for years and will continue to do so because he is thorough, prompt, and an effective communicator throughout the inspection. I am not an engineer, contractor, nor builder, yet Ed explains in a way that allows me to know the full scope. In addition, Ed makes it simple for clients to pay, schedule, and receive a digital copy of their inspection. Simply put, Ed has always been someone I rely on, someone that does what he says and says what he does. I'm grateful to have him in business, and countless times...my clients are as well. read more

As first time home buyers, there is a lot of unknown territory to walk into when making those first steps towards buying. And the home inspection was probably one of the biggest for my wife and I. Ed came recommended by a family friend and we are so happy that we went with him. He is thorough in his work and his knowledge. I had lots of questions and he was always willing to walk me through each and every one. After our inspection was complete, even though there were some issues discovered, I felt very good knowing exactly where the problems were and how to address them. The inspection report Ed provided was a great tool for us. It spelled out everything he found and included recommendations on follow up inspections as well as recommendations for repairs. His report also allows you to pull data on specific sections to use in your own follow up requests. We used this to help inform our request for repairs to the seller along with some of the other inspections that Ed recommended. By now I'm sure you get the point. I would highly recommend Ed at Pleasant Home Inspections. Whether you are a first time home buyer or not, having that knowledge of what you are setting out to buy definitely gives you some peace of mind in what can otherwise feel like a disconnected process. read more

Ed was great. He arrived at the house early and had pulled county permit information for me to review. This was my around my tenth home inspection I've had done, and never have I had a home inspector show this kind of thoroughness and consideration. Knew instantly how professional the inspection would be. Ed walked me through each of the issues he found, told me for each issue what the law and regulations require, and what was needed to correct the issue. Report was returned to me quickly and reflected the thoroughness of the inspection. Really glad to have him on my side and wholeheartedly recommend Ed to anyone wanting a top quality home inspection. Ed did a great job. I was not able to be at the new home inspection but Ed met my realtor at the house. He was on time and very thorough according to my realtor and the report that I received.
