I came here to pick up a few items that I dropped of a week ago. I arrived at 6:34pm. When I walked in, the woman came from behind the register to help a gentleman who emerged from the dressing room for alterations. I thought that someone else was going to emerge from the back, but they didn't. When she finished pinning his pants, she addressed me. She immediately said "we close at 6pm". I brushed it off with a "umm hmm" as I thought she was joking. She mimiced me and proceeded to repeat herself. I told her that the bottom of the receipt listed their hours from 7a-7p. She looked at the receipt and responded in shock "oh I thought he changed that. Well for next time you know." Clearly she wasn't about to close as it was 6:30 and she was altering the gentleman's pants. I guess this is how they treat all of their black customers. There will not be a next time. read more

Terrible experience ! No standard maintained. Avoid this place. I tried this place twice. 2nd time I tried to give it a benefit of doubt because of serious scarcity of good laundry in my area. But unfortunately the end result is same. Average work, high price tag. Therefore it make no sense to go back, even though I am still looking for an good alternative. read more

These guys are terrible. They will try and rob you of your money - check your receipts for the prices they quote. I was told they charge $1.90 per shirt for laundry - I gave them 15-17 shirts and the calculation (which I checked later) was completely off. They had charged me about 10-15 cents extra for each shirt. I let it go. During this visit I'd asked them if they can work on the HEM of my pants- the guy told me sure! I asked how much - he said 6/7/8$$ - don't worry I'll do it right. I said okay - I went there with my pants, expecting to be charged 6 or 7 or 8$ -- the receipt they gave me was for $12. I was okay paying the $12 charge - but then I told the guy about the conversation we had had earlier that week - and he got pissed and started repeatedly saying - I never said that, you lie. I picked up my clothes and walked out. Beware. They will say one thing and make you pay for another. read more

I have had good experiences with this business. Did a nice job removing a stain on a light jacket. Asked them to replace a torn pocket on an overcoat & it was done well for the quoted price. I took advantage of their early bird deal - 30% off before 9AM, & they even applied the discount to the pocket repair. And they were as pleasant as any local business. read more

We have been going to Plaza a cleaners for a few months now and each time we would spend an average of $30-$75. I felt they were a little overpriced but their location was convenient and they did a decent job. That was until today. I had dropped off nubuck shoes that I was told could be cleaned. I knew they wouldn't look as they had originally but I didn't expect them to be ruined. In addition to my shoes being ruined I experienced the worst customer service by the owner of my life- it was the HORRIBLE . When I asked to see the owner he came from the back in a loud tone and asked "what do you want?" He then proceeded to yell and screamed at me while slamming the shoes around the counter because I was dissatisfied. When I refused to pay for them he told me I had "changed my mind" and he had told me that he didn't know if he could clean them when I dropped them off because he had never worked on that material before. That was a LIE. Why would I drop off $120 shoes to be cleaned if I knew they could be ruined? When I dropped them off he said he wouldn't be able to get every stain out but what I didn't expect was the color to change entirely and for one shoe to look a completely different color then the other. On parts of the shoe the nubuck is completely worn off. He then told me to leave and tried kicking me out!!! I couldn't leave because I was waiting to pay for my other dry cleaning so he instead opened the door and proceeded to continue yelling at me until I left I have NEVER been treated so poorly by someone in my LIFE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I like this place because they give you a discount if you bring your clothes in before 9am, 30% to be exact. However, I don't like that they do not list their prices ANYWHERE in the store. You constantly have the ask the man behind the counter and he is NOT very friendly. Also, double check your receipt before you leave. They once charged my friend for a woman's blouse $5.50 when it was a man's shirt she dropped off and was only supposed to cost $2!! read more

If I could give this negative stars or none I would. Joe the owner has the worst customer service that I have ever been around in my 10 years in customers service. We go there probably two to three times a month and spend upwards of 50 dollars each time. My fiancé dropped off a pair of shoes to be cleaned, when she went to pick them up they were not only still dirty they were ruined. Joe tried to clean them twice and they are no longer even the same color they were when she dropped them off and still dirty. When my fiancé tried to speak to the manager about it he blew up on her and said he was hurt that she was upset about her shoes being ruined. Then he yelled are here repeatedly where should could barely get a word in edge wise. He then went to the door and tried to kick her out of the store mind you we still had clothes to pick up. He was totally unprofessional and when I called he was a coward. I feel like Joe the owner is sexist and only talked to my fiancé like that because she was a woman, if I was there or any other man he would have never have spoken to a woman like that. I hope you all take this review into consideration when you think about going to this cleaners. The ownership is not just rude but they have no sense of what customer service is and obviously don't respect woman. I feel for the poor worker that had to see his boss berate a woman and his other worker that is also a woman. I can only imagine how Joe treats the woman that are in his store and his life. read more
