I was completely mortified because i knew it was going to be tough to find a cleaners that could clean this jacket in time for the trip. Not to mention, the coat is an unforgiving bright red. After being told "NO can do" with such a short window by 3 cleaners, i started to lose hope. But then i stumbled upon Silver hanger of Piscataway, and gosh am i sure glad i discovered this GEM. The owner was extremely nice, and assured me that he would have it ready in time. They actually went a step further and had the coat ready a day before. Not only did they provide exceptional service, but they are very reasonably priced, and their craftsmanship is superb. The reviews…read moreseemed decent, so I felt comfortable bringing in three items for dry cleaning, including a $400 coat that needed a small repair. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The seamstress was not there when I dropped of the coat, they said that she will look and see if she can fix it and let me know by phone. I then find out that she "fixed" my coat without consulting me first, claiming the repair was necessary for the dry cleaning process. In doing so, she actually made the tear worse and ended up ruining the coat. When I tried to address the issue with the staff, the situation only got worse. The employees became defensive, rude, and belligerent. The interaction escalated to the point where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe in the store, as two male associates were behaving aggressively. I haven't even evaluated the quality of the dry cleaning yet, but at this point it's hard to say the service was worth the cost of a ruined $400 coat and the unpleasant treatment I received. It's especially disappointing because I had hoped I'd found a reliable dry cleaning and tailoring service close to home.

After over 10…read moreyears of loyalty to a dry cleaner in Sayreville, I was disappointed when they recently refused two simple alteration requests: one to sew down the pockets of a fleece hoodie, and another to hem the edges of a blanket that was fraying. Both times, they flat-out said no. I decided to take a chance and visited Magic Cleaners in Matawan -- and I'm so glad I did. I walked in with the blanket and was greeted by a woman who was sweet, efficient, and clearly knew her craft. She inspected the blanket and immediately agreed to hem it, no fuss. I wasn't looking for anything fancy -- just a clean finish to keep it from unraveling. I told her there was no rush, but she had it ready in under a week. Not only was the work immaculately done, but she charged me just $25. I even offered to pay more because the quality was honestly beyond what I expected -- but she politely declined, saying she was just happy to gain a new customer. Well, she absolutely did. I'll now happily go out of my way to drive to Matawan just because of the amazing service I received here. Thank you again -- I'll definitely be back soon!

Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to resolve the issue, the woman working there immediately got defensive, raised her voice at me, and told me to "check my house," as if I don't know what condition my own clothing was in when I brought it in. She did a bare minimum, one-second glance in the back, claimed she didn't see anything, and promised to call me before closing. Of course, she never called. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service is unbelievable. If you value your clothes -- especially anything designer or expensive -- do NOT bring them here. Absolutely terrible experience.
