    I love everything about PlayTri events. My mom and I have participated in a few of them, and I can say that they are well organized. With that said, if you are ordering from any PlayTri website for any of the Dallas stores, ensure (with your eyes) that they actually have your item in their store or in their main warehouse. Unfortunately I have a different story to tell with a major purchase. I was looking for a traveling bike case, so I called this store and the Rockwall store to inquire about the item on the top, and I was advised by staff from both stores, that they were showing inventory at the Dallas store. I stopped in around 6:30 p.m., and asked if this bike case was in store. I was told yes, and I made the purchase online with my phone, at the store for this reason. As he goes to the back to find it, I talk a friend on the phone about it, and I notice that the salesman is standing idol at the front of the store. I ask him if everything is okay, abs he assures me that it is. Moments later, the salesman states that could not locate it, then tells me that the item is located at their main warehouse and can be available shortly after opening the following day, and that he would call me first thing in the morning when it is retrieved. No problem. The following day, noon passes by, 1 p.m. passes by, and so does 2 p.m. No call! I call the shop myself, only to find out that they have no Scion bike cases. This is devastating, because in 24 hours, I'm boarding flight to Dubai for work the next day, and have no opportunity to wait for it to be shipped, which he was informed the day before. This experience definitely taught me to not to procrastinate on my end, but I am still disappointed with the MANNER with which it was handled, a bit more than the situation itself. I understand that events like this do happen, but my problem is that this salesman NEVER reached out to let me know what occurred, so that I could make an INFORMED decision with more time on my hands. Instead, I'm told, "I figured I could let you used the rental until a new one arrives, then we could swap them out." I told home the day before about my departure to Dubai, so from where does this logic derive, friend? ‍ Here is how he did attempt to RECTIFY this situation: He told me that I could be refunded or I (yes me) could call his management/superiors to try to get some clarity! Excuse me?! I was under stress finalizing packing four suitcases, all while saying goodbye to family and friends, and now I am responsible for looking into why YOUR store and online inventory do not match?! Here is where he helped this store earn two YELP stars instead of one. He locates a case pictured at the bottom, (which I was told did not fit the bike wheels, but does today, after careful review) and says that my bike could be dismantled and cased before closing. I agreed to that since I already paid a whopping $225 additional baggage fare to Emirates Airlines specifically for this bike to travel with me. It should go without saying, (but I'll do it anyways) that I am a committed triathlete. If for some reason that case is overweight on the scales, it would be an upstanding redemption if I were credited the difference to my purchase. I DO have receipts for prepaying the $225 extra baggage fee. My last concern about this particular salesman is that when it was all packaged, I asked to view my bike on the inside, and was given pushback about this. His response was that the bike professionally packaged, and undoing the case may cause some difficulties with closing it back, which immediately made me feel more eager to give it a look. At that point, I told him that I needed to see how my precious "Midnight" was packed and that the parts are fitting, without bending for the next 24 hours. Professional or not, do it for the customer to help RESTORE confidence in you and your company! To be fair, I don't believe that this complaint is entirely the fault of the salesman. I do encourage PlayTri and it's associates to make periodic checks to ensure that online inventory matched the store inventory. This is Business 101! Yes, I do have an undergraduate Marketing degree.
