They even took the time to recommend some great local training routes, which was incredibly helpful since I'm not from the area. After struggling for hours with what YouTube calls a "simple" fix I literally threw in the towel and took my bike the mile and a half to have the experts look at it. Fifteen minutes later I was on my way home. Bike fixed, ready to ride. Dignity intact. The guy's behind the counter were patient, helpful, and understanding. Can't say enough about that part. So, if you're an "I can fix it guy" kind of guy who usually can't , my advice to you is: Don't be a bonehead like me. Just take it to the pros. In fact, it is so cold that the automatic doors were frozen shut and not working properly, and the employees had to physically pull the doors open for me. But that's not where the service stopped. When walking my dogs this morning, it did not take me long to realize in the 11° weather that my wardrobe is not properly equipped to be outside for very long. Don't worry about my dogs. They are cold-weather dogs and they absolutely love this weather and still expect their walks, but for me, that is a different story. I was amazed at the selection that this place had available this late in the season. Not only did they have a great selection, but most of what I bought was on sale. This morning I realized that it is way too cold to have any exposed skin so that I needed a full face cover. I also realized that with two pairs of socks and a pair of shoes my feet were still cold, and I needed better shoes for these kinds of temperatures. Super cool stories and years of experience when it comes to bikes. He used to be a pro and has awesome tips. As stated before my comments, instead of paying $49 dlls for a "bike fitting" he didn't charge me at all. He is awesome and I'll never change bike shops as long as I live in Dallas. Patti was patient with all my questions and let me blabber on and on, lol. They have tons of bike toys and fabulous bikes. It's a dangerous place! Prices are competitive but the service and knowledge is actually way above Richardson Bike Mart. This place is 50 miles from me and RBM is only 12, but I will be bringing my trikes here from now on. It's just much more specialized and personable.
