Going rate is $9 admission and $3 skate rentals which is not bad ( about going rate locally). The coaches and people running the skate program are great. Very passionate and all-in when it comes to teaching & creating a safe / fun skate experience for everyone. They are running a smooth ship here. Now they do have indoor soccer fields here too and have party hosting capabilities as well. Didn't experience those sides of the business but the soccer fields are typically packed when we stopped by. All in all, great place to come for Skate Lessons or just enjoy an Open Skate evening.

There is a small room before entering the rink with a few tables to sit down at and put your skates on. It becomes very crowded at the end of public skating hours as everyone is in the same area and there aren't many seats so it may be easier to exit the rink a few minutes before the public skating hours end. There are also a few open cubbies to store your belongings in. You need to make an account online in order to use the rink which can be done beforehand or in person with the QR code at the front desk. The ice rink also offers classes for children and adults.

As with any skating place, the skates that everyone uses are no good, always good to invest in a pair, more comfortable and won't ruin the experience. It's one hockey size rink with no lockers. They have cubbies to put your shoes and might fit a really small bag. They have vending machines at reasonable prices. Parking lot has a lot of spaces but apparently it does fill up quick. The place is very very very very old, but that didn't matter to me because the rink is good and the ice is not bad, works for the purpose.

Went on a Thursday during the holiday week between Christmas and New Year's. Thankfully it was warmish for this time of year as I was afraid being in the mountains we would be freezing. It is $5 to get in to park your car which is totally fine. Not only do you have access to the ice-skating rink area but you can also hike locally and explore the surroundings. You were literally inside of a mountain range so if you like walking and exploring it is all there for you. Gorgeous area! It is $5 to enter the ice skating area and $10 to rent the skates. I feel that is reasonable getting an hour and a half worth of time and not feeling over powered by a crowd... I was definitely digging it. I have not been ice-skating for at least 10 years. The last time was at Chelsea Piers in New York City which was a totally different vibe. I enjoyed myself I can see returning throughout the winter. Everyone we dealt with from when we initially entered the park to helping us with the purchase of tickets and assisting with the rentals were pleasant. I'm guessing local college students. There were several employees on the ice as well and I saw them helping out when kids and adults were falling. They weren't extra but they weren't unpleasant so happy to have them there to help us. Glad I tried out this place and looking forward to future memories here.

They don't skimp on the fries either. The are seats in the lobby if you don't like to sit inside the cold rink area...and there is,plenty of seating inside as well. The stands are a bit rickety, especially up top and the view isn't great either with all the netting but it's ok. As rinks go it's pretty good. My only complaint is the lack of WiFi for Internet access. Given the poor cellular reception (at least for Verizon) inside and outside this area, it would be nice to at least have some form of connectivity.

After nearly 20+ years, I went skating again! It's also my 1st time at Rollermagic. I went for the…read moreadult only Friday night (didn't want to fall on kids}. I arrived right at 11p with an avid skater, after signing the waiver & paying, of course & we reserved our seating with her tote bag. Feeling nostalgic, I started on the quads (female size 7, they don't have 1/2 sizes). After several minutes of getting the laces right, I did a choppy roll/walk on the old carpet to the rink. Immediately, I felt my left foot pulling & it also felt like I was rolling on pebbles. After about 3 rounds I switched to a male size 6 quad. These felt better & smoother but it was still a workout to get momentum. I gave these about an hour before switching to blades, male size 5. Now, I was happy! The rest of the night (til 2a) I was flying around the rink (to the best of my ability). More & more people flooded in & the pros were fun to watch dance on their skates. A few trains were formed & a couple of skaters took a tumble. People were so nice helping others up & some were practicing & teaching in the middle of the floor. The music being played ranged from old school, new school & I think EDM. Lights went on & off, the a/c was pumping (Hallelujah!). I took a few time outs, because it's definitely a workout. Their food is decent. I had a hotdog & curly fries to keep me going. I may just do a whole pizza next time. All in all, this is a nice place to skate. Because I arrived early, I got to see the floor cleaned & refreshed after the last skating session. To me, the floor was smooth, I didn't feel any dips or bumps. The rental skates aren't the best so bring your own. I'm grateful for the ladies & gentleman behind the counter being patient with me, while I figured out the best fit. I'm also grateful they let you switch & without additional fees. Each time I changed, they would immediately spray the disinfectant. I plan on purchasing some blades of my own & making this a frequent occurrence. It was also nice to see that no one bothers your belongings. I believe the lockers are only..50¢ but I'd rather have things readily available. I've also learned to dress light, bring plenty of water, a hand towel, a phone holder & maybe bring extra deodorant. I'm happy to say, I didn't fall once!

That was in 2021. I returned another time and parents were just throwing their kids in the rink to tire them out because they didn't want to deal with them. The rink is old and dated and has been for years. Don't expect it to change. Like all other dates rinks, the food is overpriced chuck e cheese slop. It feels like when I was in middle and high schooI. I suggest eating before coming here. I also recommend buying your own skates as rentals are not only gross but not safe. Put that $5 back in your pocket. The music is like top 40 stuff and some old school music for the old and experienced folks. I skated on and off from middle school to summer camps and church groups. Pushing 40 and out of shape but I regained confidence. Sometimes it's not the rink itself, it's the people. It was a very chill Sunday that wasn't too crowded. if you're nostalgic or you just want a good workout, it's good. But if you're expecting a modern 2025 skating rink with today's music and gen z'ers and alphas, it's not gonna happen.

Entry was free (unheard of in this day and age!) and skate rentals were only $20+tax. Believe me when I say the energy of all the skaters, employees and DJ were off the charts! Everyone was positive, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly! There were impromptu conga lines, electric slide dances and smiles aplenty. I must have skated for about 3 hours with only the occasional 3 minute break to catch my breath. In case you got hungry or thirsty, there were small mom n pop food and drink vendors by the entrance charging very reasonable prices. The best part was being amongst such talented skaters! I've only been skating three times now but I feel like I leveled up just by watching others here. If you're new to skating, rest assured that the community is as friendly as they are skilled! 5/5 beach skating event.. thank you RollerWave NYC!
